This one-bedroom condo with a spacious loft is perfect for your next family getaway to Truckee.

The well-equipped, full kitchen has everything you need to cook up a storm, and the remote-activated gas fireplace is perfect for snuggling around on chilly winter nights while you stream your favorite channels on the Roku-equipped TV. The loft is a great place for the kids to play and includes a desk and chair for laptops for remote schooling. And there are plenty of board games to keep you entertained when you're not skiing or snowboarding.

Enjoy access to the Northstar recreation center amenities, which include tennis courts, basketball courts, a fitness center, a sauna, a hot tub, a seasonal lap pool, and an open grill area next to a beautiful creek surrounded by pine, fir, and aspen trees. (Site rentals include the use of three picnic tables and up to two gas BBQ grills with grilling utensils.) There is a $10 daily fee per person for use of the facilities. You will also have access to a complimentary shuttle ride to Northstar Village.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). This is a great little condo in Northstar/Truckee. The place is small but plenty of room for what we needed. It was well-maintained and clean. I'd use caution if having kids sleep in the loft as you climb a ladder to access it. The place was warm (in July) because there's no AC, but we left the windows open during and there was a nice cross breeze. I would definitely return.

Ski getaway

This was the perfect location for a family ski vacation. Being able to walk to the slopes and Northstar village made it so easy. Kids loved the loft space.

It was a wonderful stay. The apartment is very close to the slopes, literally 5-7 mins walk. It is not big, but there are enough beds for our family of 4. Mattresses are comfy, kitchen well stocked. The only problem was that we were not able to use ski storage because there was already someone else’s equipment. Otherwise wonderful stay.

Overall Decent but there were a few things

Nice little place, 8yo & 16yo LOVED the loft! Kitchen is small(1 person at a time) but very well stocked with appliances/utensils/pans/basic ingredients/ect.; bathroom/shower nice but lacks counter space; beds are very firm!!(tons of extra pillows throughout though); it’s a beautiful area, quite, peaceful, close to store/food places; hot tubs&pools are great! Arcade wasn’t available and neither was skating so that was a bummer; like a 10-15 minute drive to Lake Tahoe; my only real complaint was that there was dog hair everywhere, especially on the couch,

Couldn’t get there, couldn’t rebook, go with someone other than vacasa/vrbo

Didn’t get to experience the property a blizzard with 6+ ft of snow and up to 100 mph winds was coming, so we opted to not go. We were given an opportunity to rebook but had to do it that day. A little rediculous and likely an opportunity for vacasa/vrbo to say they have an option, that wasn’t realistically an option for most folks. After speaking to a rep, was told I would hear back, but did not. Did not get travel insurance, but had to pay a cleaning g for for a unit I did not even use. If you have an option to use another tenant agency, do it. The other property I booked that week is holding my payment for 1 year to rebook. THAT is a company that cares about their users.

One bedroom dog friendly - efficient and clean

This space for us was all about location and being able to bring your pup. The space was clean, comfortable and well-sized for the three of us. There is a loft to sleep many more, but I would be wary of sharing the one modest bathroom, kitchen and common area with six more people. Everything we used worked well - especially the view!
