Due to the Hill Country location of our rentals, you may encounter situations with wildlife/pests. Please be aware of your surroundings, take caution while driving at night and supervise your children at all times while outdoors. In addition, all properties do utilize pest control maintenance on a regular basis, BUT this does not guarantee pests/bugs/critters will not be visible.
Note: Home does not have a working washer.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Great Eclipse Experience

Wonderful & spacious property for our family to be together for the solar eclipse! Lovely time spent around the fire pit in the evening enjoying a relaxing visit! It was a perfect location for a wonderful vacation!!

Highly Recommend

The Escape at Hilltop was everything we were looking for. The house was perfect for our group of ten with lots of space to move around. The hosts recently put up a pool, which came in very handy in the summer. Upon arrival the hosts left homemade treats on the counter, which were a plus. It was the perfect distance from the Fredericksburg city limits to have the country living feel, but less than 10 minutes from downtown. We took Ubers to and from town in the evenings and it worked perfectly. We loved everything about the house and will definitely be staying here again!!

Backup Plan

We were orginally booked for a Vacasa rental in town. Unfortunately it flooded days before our arrival. So this was one of our backup Vacasa availabilites. Was not a fan that it was 9 miles from town, but it turned out not to be a burden. Fabulous place, spread out on acres off of the local highway. Home was imaculant. Very well put together, spacious and great view of the deer and cows in the morning while having coffee on the front porch.

Absolutely Wonderful!

We loved this house! It had plenty of bedrooms so all my adult children had their own space and the den/kitchen area is so spacious we could all sit together for dinner or movies or just chatting. The house was super clean...I had no problems going barefoot...kitchen and accessories were spotless. Beds were comfortable and well made. Over all a super cosy home close to Fredericksburg, but so quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the local cows and the deer in the yard. There was a great porch for sitting in the sunshine. I really enjoyed the kitchen. I cooked everyday and had plenty of space to prep and serve. And the house is so charming and pleasant. The owners put a lot of thought into making a guest feel welcome and I appreciate that so much. The monkey bread and banana bread were delicious and disappeared! Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation!

Nice location to stay outside of town but still close enough to enjoy everything Fredericksburg has to offer. Home is very nice and comfortable. Loved having activity and games to play too. Hot tub was a nice addition too. Great place!

Quiet peaceful nature loving country retreat

Quiet peaceful nature loving country retreat that has wildlife, cattle, great views of rolling hills from the front porch and from the porch swing on side of the house. Great home for family gatherings or a girls weekend, with plenty of room to spread out and enjoy making memories, meals, or close enough to go into Fredericksburg to the restaurants, wineries, museums, night life, or to just stroll Main St and enjoy shopping. What ever your heart desires this place has it. Will definitely be back again at this little Hilltop Escape!

SO SPACIOUS

We had my bachelorette party here and it was PERFECT! The house was spotless, the beds were comfy... we got to watch the deer out the window. So perfect and peaceful. Only 10 mins from town so you were out in the country but also close to everything. I plan on coming back.

Great House, Perfect for Large Groups

The house was great for our group of 8 adults. There was enough room for everyone to spread out. We used the space for our weekend retreat and the house was perfect for working around the dinner table and living room. We did not travel with children but they did have several toys and even a swing for kids. Could easily fit multiple families. It was located about 15 min from the downtown area in Fredericksburg, very easy to head in and out of town. Because the house is located outside of the town, it had a great view of the stars with no light pollution; perfect for star gazing. There were also a lot of deer near the house in the mornings, the house has a deer feeder that attracts the deer. The WIFI connection was pretty good considering we were out there in a ranch. Be aware there is limited cell reception so it’s great that we we’re able to connect to WIFI.
