This unit is in a nicely central location to the heart and activities on the Island. It was clean and the bedding was comfortable. However, no cleaning had been done to the outside spaces and they were pretty much unusable. The patios were full of leave twigs and other debris. There is an old rusty patio table and chairs that probably should be disgarded and a grill that was buried in a corner. The pool is lovely however. On the inside, two of the bathrooms had no toilet paper holders and ther were no clothes hangers in any of the closets. Not one. The kitchen was sparsely stocked and we were unable to find a pitcher to mix lemonade. We never recieved an email with information 48 hrs prior as the booking info stated and we had to call the property manager to access the door code.As the unit is in a large complex finding it could be confusing. There was supposed to be a video that explained things but the link didn't work. This was not our first time to the Island, but if it had been it would have been nice to find a welcome packet or other general information.
The place itself is nice, but maybe a little odd. The master bedroom doesn't have a tv or an attached bathroom, which means the kids room has the nicer bath and master had to use hall bath. The master does have a nice balcony to sit on if your just there to look out the back into the pond/ woods.
The rest of the condo is very well appointed with just about everything you need.
Parking is a little nightmare-ish if you're not there early - there's no assigned parking and no parking whatsoever within a couple hundred feet. Long walk from wherever you can find a spot.
Over all we had a nice stay once we figured out the nuances.
We stayed for two weeks and were very comfortable here as a family of 4! The unit was tricky to find and it was a little rocky in the beginning to get our parking tag and internet sorted out but the host took care of it and we didn't have any other issues. The pools were great but our favorite thing was renting bikes right down the street at Island Life Bike Rentals and riding to Alder Lane Beach access! We went almost every evening, got Pina Coladas with a rum float at Lagerhead Landing(they close at 7pm) and hung out until the sun set! The unit is also great biking distance to a park, many shops, and restaurants! The local movie theatre, Park Plaza Cinema, was great! We enjoyed the Daufuski fery and golf cart tour and a day trip to Beauford visiting Hunting Island State Park and downtown. Fish camp restaurant was excellent! We also did a fishing trip and there were lot's of dolphins and sharks! We decided to save our swimming for the pool. Harbor town was nice but parking a challenge. Sunset cruise with fireworks was nice but not super close to the fireworks. Had a great time and would recommend this comfortable place to stay between adventures on Hilton Head Island!
