Dog Friendly Beach Cottage, Private Yard - one block to Water & Dog Beach

Enjoy our recently remodeled 1913 private beach bungalow for your visit to San Diego. It is ideal for a couple with or without dogs. Our place is fenced in with a PRIVATE backyard great for grilling, outdoor dining, and lounging. The house is less than a block to the beach and walking distance to lots of activities and restaurants. With a Weber gas grill, dry bar, hot tub, and comfy seating in the sun or shade it is easy to spend more time outside than in. The inside is cozy and well equipped with a full kitchen, couch, recliner, 1.5 baths, wireless portable speaker, and a king size bed. All living space is on the first floor. Wireless internet can be accessed from inside and out.

Attractions within walking distance are plentiful. There are swimming, surfing, and dog friendly beaches. Ocean Beach's downtown are filled with shops, restaurants, and nightlife. There are nature trails and bike paths along the San Diego River just a few blocks away. Attractions within a short drive include Sea World, Old Town, Sunset Cliffs Park, Downtown San Diego, Balboa Park, and the San Diego Zoo.

For dog owners there are two large dog parks, dog wash, and multiple vets within walking distance.

Great place, everything you need

Perfect location, comfy bed, great kitchen and outdoor areas. I really enjoyed the hot outdoor shower after a dip at the beach. We had a great time.

Great location

The property owners were very quick to respond to questions. Location is epic, 1/2 block from OB and 4 blocks from restaurants and main beach. Back patio is the winner, relaxing, spacious, zen like.

Perfect for dog vacation

Walked every morning to dog beach - 2 blocks away. Very relaxed atmosphere. Great to have the parking & the house had everything I needed. Loved the tomatoes in the front garden! I felt very comfortable there, and so did my dogs. Keep in mind sand gets everywhere and the bungalow style house might get a few random spiders and things, but overall exactly what I expected in a beach vacation. Very communicative hosts. Thank you!

Great Beachhouse!

My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay here. The home is well stocked and is so close to the beach. We parked our car in the very large driveway at the beginning of our stay and never needed it again. We were able to walk or ride the rentable Bird scooters everywhere around OB and Sunset Cliffs. The jacuzzi was a nice added plus. To the property. Thank you, Greg. We will return soon.

Ocean Beach House Review

This is our second stay at the property for my wife and myself. We love the location, backyard is great, and owners are very nice and responsive. The Property could be a little cleaner and it is a bit of a rustic property. However, the huge backyard, great location, ample parking and price make it a great value. We did not bring our pets with us this time, but this is a great property for pets.

pretty much perfect

We stayed here in late December, two adults and two dogs. The location is amazing. Dog beach is right at the end of the block, and downtown OB is only a couple minutes walk away. The house is great, perfect size for our crew, and stocked with everything we needed to cook up all the delicious food we found at the farmers market. The back yard is small but feels very secluded even with all the other houses around, and we loved having a private hot tub on the cold(ish) December nights. The owners were super helpful and nice. It was very hard to leave!

Already missing the beach already!

We just finished up our second trip to this house. We love the eclectic vibe of Ocean Beach but this house also offers its own private secluded retreat. The yard is fully fenced for the safety of our children - both pawed and non-pawed. The location to Dog Beach can't be beat. The added touches of high-end quality furnishings and amenities are a treat. The house is charming (yes small) but not much time is spent indoors! I have a hard time keeping husband and child out of out outdoor shower - they both want one at home now.

PERFECT Beach House

After several years of searching for and staying in beach properties in the San Diego area, this was the perfect find. It is a beautifully restored, appointed, and maintained property just one block from Dog Beach and an easy walk to the heart of Ocean Beach with its many great shops, restaurants, farmers markets, and unique local flavor. The property is equipped with all necessary amenities, and then some. It has a spacious, private back yard and patio area, with a jacuzzi, grill, bikes, and lounge and patio furniture. The yard is fenced in and perfect for dogs. Parking is not a problem because it has a two-car carport. The interior is warm and roomy, and the owners have a great sense of space and style about everything from furniture to dishes. We would recommend this terrific house to anyone without reservation, and we will definitely be booking this property again.

GREAT LOCATION !

If you are looking for a great place to stay, this is it! Is super for a couple! Only half a block to the beach. Owners furnish everything you could possibly ask for! The furnishings are first class and all the luxuries of home! Small T.V., but hey, who needs TV when so much to see and do around Ocean Beach. Love the hot tub and patio. Lots of privacy and great for a dog. We didnt lack for anything, want to stay forever!
