Stayed here with my wife, daughter and two dogs. Lots of games at the house to keep the people entertained when staying in, and a fenced in area outside for the dogs to run around. We really enjoyed hopping into the hot tub in the evenings! The house was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. If you feel like going out for food, Lyons is about a 20 minute drive with several options. Our favorites were Oskar Blues and Smokin Dave's BBQ. Estes is about 30 minutes away, and about 50 minutes to the Bear Lake Trail Head in Rocky Mountain National Park. We really enjoyed our stay and if we find ourselves heading into the Lyons area again, wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
We can’t recommend this lovely place to stay enough! Everything was just perfect. It was so cozy and clean and decorated so nice with lots of fun things to do!Such amazingly beautiful scenery also!Thank you so much, we had the best time!
We had a wonderful stay! The place was clean, well-stocked, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The owner was incredibly responsive and helpful with any questions we had. Highly recommend.
Hi, thanks for the review. Curious what I could have done differently to receive 5 stars versus 4. We are always looking for any way we can improve or place. Thanks again
An amazing place to stay for peace and quiet or getting out for adventure. So many trails near by and even more sights to see. The house and property were amazing. If we are ever in the area again we will try booking this for for sure!!

The property was amazing and had so many fun things to do. It’s in a beautiful location and we had some bear visitors the first night. So amazing to see!! Host was wonderful to communicate with and was always available. Would definitely rent again.
We stayed for a few days while my husband had business in Denver. Peaceful, quiet, clean. Great little property to spend some downtime. Cindy was very helpful when needed. We would stay again.

It was a lovely retreat space. We loved listening to the water stream. It was near Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park. It was great having a front deck and back patio too!
Incredible week at cabin was just perfect. Host communicated promptly with any questions. We were worried about not being in Estes proper, but I wouldn’t have it any other way! Cabin was impeccably kept. Secluded, yet beautiful and easy drive into Estes. Enjoyed the firepit, loved watching the chipmunks, hiking nearby and easy drive to RMNP. Thank you Cindy for being a perfect host and sharing your mountain retreat.
The house is beautiful and comfortable with all the amenities you would need. The owner anticipated and had available anything you could need from kitchen seasonings and appliances to towels and laundry soap. The beds were comfortably luxurious and the fireplace in the bedroom was a nice touch. We came to stay a few days so we could snowboard, but enjoyed our evenings immensely with the selection of board games. My sons really enjoyed the dart board and Pacman game. We would definitely stay here again!

Thank you so much for the great review. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay!
The property was meticulously maintained and furnished with all necessary amenities. Cindy promptly addressed any inquiries we had during our stay, contributing to a peaceful experience overall. The soothing sound of the nearby creek added a relaxing ambiance to our time there. Our children particularly enjoyed the assortment of games provided. The presence of charming chipmunks in the backyard was a memorable highlight for our family. We would certainly consider staying at Cindy's property again in the future.
We loved everything about this cozy and tasteful cabin! Our host, Cindy, was quick to respond when we had a questions prior to and during our stay. Though we didn't spend much time there, the backyard (rock cliff, large boulders, hammock and inviting deck) was beautiful when viewed from the main bedroom patio doors. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped. Great selection of games for family fun. The neighborhood is quiet and the location is convenient to Rocky Mountain National Park and Roosevelt National Forest hiking trails which were the main focus of our stay.

Thanks so much for the great review. I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
Cindy was incredibly helpful and responsive before we arrived and throughout the stay. The photos do not do this place justice, it's very well kept and stocked on a gorgeous piece of land. The entire home feels new inside and out. There was so much to do for both us and the kids and we spent more time together than we ever have. Feed the chipmunks, watch the mama moose and her baby eat grass across the street, play darts or board games or Ms. Pac-man, climb rock faces, play in the river, read books in the quiet harmony of nature, take a short drive to town, play guitar poorly, just go stay here!

Thank you for the wonderful review! I truly appreciate it! So glad you had such a great time!
This property is truly a gem. It’s incredibly well appointed with quality furniture, kitchen appliances, and amenities. We had a busy trip, and were sad we didn’t have more time to enjoy the house! Great for a family, it has games, books, a game room area off living room, and corn hole boards in the shed. The sound of the river echoing off the stunning rock wall behind the house was relaxing. The property was clean and cozy. It’s about 35 minutes to Estes Park and 15 minutes to Lyons, so there’s plenty to do in a good radius. We would stay here again, without hesitation.

Thank you so much for the great review! I truly appreciate it!
Our family of 4 stayed for a week over spring break in March. The house was perfect for us- two young boys and two parents. The house had everything we needed and so much more. Sufficient disposables like tp, paper towels, garbage bags, dish detergent, and laundry detergent were thoughtfully stocked. Plenty of towels, pillows, and blankets. The hot tub was a HUGE hit, we used it every single day. All the games ensured we were never bored during downtime. The kids loved gobbling back and spying out the large windows at the neighborhood turkeys. The hosts had shoveled out 4 feet of snow for us before we arrived- effort that was very much appreciated. Communication with host was excellent. But of course the stand out feature of the house was the location. Beautiful, quiet mountain road was a dream. It’s a gorgeous and easy drive up route 7 to RMNP. Wouldn’t hesitate to book here again when we come back to RMNP!

This is our family's second home that we also rent out short term. We are originally from Louisiana and we moved to Colorado in 2020. Since we often stay at the cabin it is very well equipped. We put a lot of work into keeping it as nice as possible and regularly making upgrades. We love spending time out at the Alpine Escape in the winter and the summer. It is so nice when the water is flowing and you can sit outside and hear it from across the way. The river sounds eco off the rock so it sounds like it is right there when you are on the back deck. There is lots of wildlife in the area such as a fox's den in the cliff behind the house, a flock of turkeys that visit regularly, chipmunks, bears, mountain lions, moose, and river otters to name a few. We have great fishing, hiking, and 4x4 trail riding in the area. It is also very fun to go tubing or kayaking in Lyons when it is warm enough.
Why they chose this property
It is such a cute area along the river with friendly neighbors and lots of walkers and bikers. Our property has so many personal touches and it is very private and peaceful. The drive out is easy with so many beautiful views as it follows along the Middle St. Vrain River in the South St. Vrain Canyon. We have food, gas, a natural spring to fill your water containers, and a liquor store located only 15 minutes away in Ferncliff area. We are also a 15-minute drive to Lyons or Allenspark, and 30 minutes to Estes Park, Longmont, or Boulder.
What makes this property unique
The rock outcroppings are very unique and so beautiful on our property. We have a really cool table/seating area on the back deck along with a hot tub right off the main bedroom. We also have a seating area around a propane fire pit and a grill. The sounds of the river across the street is my favorite part! We also have a really unique treehouse built up into the cliff behind the house.
