So glad you enjoyed the house and all it and the area has to offer. Come visit us again.
We planned a last-minute ski trip to SugarBush and had a great time at this rental. Plenty of space for our family of 5. Roaring fires kept us warm and the location was perfectly close to the Village to ski every day. Would definitely rent again

Glad you enjoyed the many charms of the house and the area. Come visit us again- cheers
This was an amazing vacation for our family and this house is absolutely great. The highlight is the location - the house is located on a very quiet road, yet less than 5 min drive to Sugarbush mountain. The house is well maintained, spacious and has everything you may need for a ski getaway. A big thanks to the host Kim for sharing their house with our family - highly recommend to anyone coming to Sugarbush area!!

I'm so glad you had such a great time at our house and in the area. Making fond memories on family trips are so important. We appreciate you keeping the house so well and would love to host you and your family in the future.
Thank you so much
Its a great cabin. Lots of room. Everything you need to cook, celebrate and enjoy the after ski.
Only minus is that the fireplace is pretty smoky and you need to push the embers pretty far back to avoid smoking the place up.
The moose decoration is epic.

Glad you enjoyed the house, its a very cozy space for the whole family to spread out and relax with the moose. The fireplace is a classic Rumford style, so does take a bit more attention---we will be sure to add some more notes for future guests on the house sheet explaining its nuances.
Thanks for being a great guest, come back and visit again some time.
This cabin is exactly what you need for a ski getaway with family and friends. Tons of beds and a large kitchen. We came to ski all day and cook/rest up at night so it was perfect for us. My only complaint was that it was a bit dusty/cobwebs everywhere. It’s a mountain cabin so I got over it. Neighbors are super friendly and lots of walking trails if you know how to find them! Kim is very responsive and the internet was perfect.
The host was fabulous - responsive and thoughtful. They even left a small gift for us when we arrived! The house fit 3 families for a total of 10 people (5 adults and 5 children) and a dog without ever feeling overcrowded. Having two separate living rooms (on two separate floors) was an absolutely perfect way for us to be able to spread out and all do whatever activities we wanted. Also, the multitude of couches allowed smaller groups to break off if desired. The location is extremely convenient to the mountain - a five minute drive from Lincoln Peak at Sugarbush. The host provided excellent recommendations about local restaurants and places to shop. (I would add Fit to be Thai'd - although with the caveat that you have to order ahead.) The kitchen was well stocked (although it took us several days to discover that there were more supplies under the island). And all of us were able to fit in the kitchen to enjoy dinners together. The wood stove did a great job of warming the whole house (we never figured out how to light a fire in the fireplace without smoke filling the room...) The only negative is that we had to clean out the refrigerator when we arrived and there was a musty smell in the entryway when we first walked in. But otherwise, everything was truly terrific. Thank you for providing us with a space to reconnect with old friends - it was a perfect way to ring in the New Year!

Thanks for all the positive comments. The house has been a gem for us for many years- making so many wonderful memories throughout the years. Sorry you had some trouble with the fireplace- it is a tradition Rumford style so can be finicky with drafts. The wood stove never fails though- such a cozy space!! I'm glad you and your guests had such a fantastic stay and we look forward to having you again another time.
Happy New Year !!!
We comfortably fit 4 adults and 3 kids in the home. We loved the two dedicated mud rooms for snow gear. The house warms up so quickly with the wood stove. Check-in took a while because the outside lock was frozen and there was no other means of entry. We rubbed coats on it to warm it up as much as possible. Took about 20 minutes. We also did laundry and the dryer didn’t work. Three shirts didn’t dry after 3 hours in the dryer. The owner reported to us that they have one on order but it was after check-in. A big reason we booked the property was because of the W/D. Would’ve been more considerate to know before our 12 hour road trip to get there as we would’ve packed differently and we had a family member fly in from Europe. The owner was responsive though overall. As a host ourselves we just had a level of expectations staying as a guest and some weren’t met. One of the bunk beds is broken so it really only sleeps 3 in the bunk room instead of 4. Great location with a 5 min drive to the resort. A lot of restaurants are closed on Monday and Tuesday so plan meals ahead.

I’m sorry the house did not meet your expectations- we aim to please but under current conditions in the world do not have control in all areas. Glad you did enjoy some of the many charms of the house. The bunk simply had a loose bracket so all set there- very sturdy
Great location, well appointed, very tidy place.
Nice fireplace and wood stove!

Very comfortable for a group
This house was perfect for a ski weekend for a group. Very close to the access road and shuttle, but we ended up driving to the Lincoln base, which was an easy drive. The pictures don't do justice for how much room there is to spread out in the living room/kitchen. Thanks for a great stay!

Perfect location for 2 families over President's Day weekend
The house very comfortably hosted 4 adults , 3 kids and a dog. It's a perfect location between Lincoln Peak and Mount Ellen. If you need to rent or buy equipment, there's a ski shop 3 minutes away. The fire place and wood burning stove heated the house perfectly after a day on the slopes.

Vermot Ski House
The house is what you would expect from a Vermont ski house - a little dated, but clean and comfortable. It had a unique layout (house was added onto), but plenty of space for two to three families. There are two living areas that worked well for Adults/Kids. Beds were comfortable. The owner checked in the first morning and was responsive to e-mails. Washer/Dryer was old and small - would recommend to invest in larger new units - especially for a ski house. House was located very close to everything.

Great House for Weekend Skiing
The Mountain House Getaway was a perfect spot for a large group of friends of two families to spend a ski weekend. There are two master bedrooms and two additional bedrooms with multiple bunk beds. The kitchen is fully equip and large enough for everyone and there are two large areas to entertain both with TVs and fireplaces. The owner was very responsive and answered all of our questions. The place really is walking distance to the Common Man for dinner or a drink.

About the host
Hosted by Kim McGlaflin
We are an active family that all love to ski and the great outdoors. We purchased the property to be closer to the mountain in the winter months. We quickly realized that there are many activities in the spring, summer, and fall as well. We have enjoyed this home for many years, and as our children have grown and move to many areas in the world now, we understand that having a place you can gather as a family and make memories are so important. We have made this home as comfortable and friendly as possible for you, our guest.
Why they chose this property
We chose the location of the property because it is sandwiched between Sugarbush resorts two mountains. In addition, whether it be golf, hiking, fishing, biking, beautiful swimming holes, or glider rides summer in the Valley has an array of outdoor activities. Fall is postcard perfect, with shades of red, yellow and orange filling the crisp Valley air. Winter, well, you be the judge. Enjoy !!!!
What makes this property unique
What we enjoy most about the property is coming in after a long day on the slopes and relaxing with some good food and company next to a roaring wood burning fire. There are surely special nuances about being in an older ski house, which adds to the charm of being in the mountains. Its a wonderful way to unwind and enjoy some family time and make long lasting memories.
