Can’t get much closer to the water.

Well it was a good location upon arrival we found the cabin a bit dirty but within 5 minutes of me contacting the manager they had things back in order. The motel could be updated but the cabin was wonderful. Unfortunately they were doing road construction so it was a bit confusing to get in the parking lot wish they would have told us that before hand. Overall rating was a 5 because we were happy with how everything turned out. We would stay again.

Host was awful and canin was so full of bugs we didn’t even stay.

The cabin was so full of bugs you couldn’t go in or out. We stopped by to check in and immediately left. It was unacceptable. Host wouldn’t communicate or let us cancel. Vrbo was also no help. We were forced to stay elsewhere. I do NOT recommend this at all!

The parking is behind the cabins and is connected to a sketchy looking motel, other than that, was a very nice and clean cabin

We had a great time! View is beautiful! Love the access to ferries! The motel in back of the cabins are deceiving! Once at the cabin …beautiful!

Everything was good other than couple of nicks. - wasnt as close to the bridge as showed in puctures. - bathroom door didnt latch.

Good trip

It was nice over all you go through a sketchy area to get back to there and the pool is shared with the motel you drive through. There’s two parking spaces and 3 cabins, only other thing is it was clean but the tops of everything besides the kitchen was coated with dust and spider webs

Right on the beach

Perfect sized cabin right on the water, step off the porch right onto the beach! Located very close to downtown and all of the shops; was perfect for our stay.

Great little place

Cabin is super clean and great place for a small family (no more than 4 people total). The only downside is that it is located right next to a couple very rundown hotels, and the pool/waterpark that is available to use is very dirty and after going once, would not go back to the water park. Overall the place is great if you like beaches, the front porch is about 100 feet from the water and a nice sandy beach.

This was a great cabin to stay in. Beautiful view, and a nice private beach. Front door sticks a little bit, and screen door didn't quite sit squarely, but I assume this is due to settling of the property foundation (as it is on the beach.) Overall clean and spacious cabin, and we look forward to returning next season.

Cons: The A/C is on the outside wall of the main bedroom, which was loud and disruptive. Pros: Location is within in walking distance to shops, restaurants and ferry.

Nice Cabin, but Too Close for Comfort

Let me start by saying, the cabin itself is very nice! The inside is clean, towels are plentiful, kitchen is stocked nicely. That said, the outsode has a lot to be desired. The cabin sits extremely close (could see clearly into the windows of the cabin) to another cabin on one side, a hotel on another side, and motel on the other side. The "waterpark" is 3-4 hotels down the road. Overall, I would have liked to see this cabin in a different location and a more accurate description/pictures given by the hosts.

Hostess was wonderful, she immediately responded to our requests wish we would have extra blankets, but we didn’t ask for more. I would have swept up but no broom and the refrigerator froze all food & drinks. Super get away.

Nice place-no internet

The property was nice and right on the beach so great for kids. The water gets super hot so there should be a warning about that. The fridge gets so cold it froze a bottle of wine so also a warning about that would be nice. We we supplied and internet password that did not work and when we tried to contact the property manager to get it we received no response. These are the only reasons I did not give this 5 stars.

Cabins at Waterfront Inn

The cabin was so clean & I can tell it was well taken care of. We are a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids) and we had enough space within the cabin to move around and not totally feel on top of one another. Having the beach right outside your front door was perfect. We kept the windows open and loved listening to the waves at night. The beach was really clean compared to the other beach properties on both sides of the one we were on. The only negative thing I would have to say is when you pull in to the property, you enter into a motel parking lot that is kind of sketchy and run down. We didn’t think we were in the right place at first. But at the very end of the parking lot are the cabins right at the beach. The cabins are completely opposite in comparison to the motel. The pool was also out of order when we were there so we needed to drive off site to use the water park passes at other hotels. All in all, we would definitely stay here again. It was such a cool experience to be in a log cabin literally right on the beach. Was way better then spending 4 nights in a hotel/motel room.

Mackinaw City Cabin

This cabin is cute. It’s on the beach, but the back of the cabins are RIGHT up almost against the Waterfront Inn, which is a very run down motel. Not beautiful by any means. It’s not super close to the city but it’s close enough. The water does get extremely hot and it takes some adjusting to get it to a temp that is suitable. The cabin itself appeared clean but I don’t think it was actually cleaned before we stayed because there were cobwebs all over. The bedding had some sort of mold or fuzz or something on it. There’s a coffee pot but no coffee filters. There’s no hand soap. Just a lot of little things that could be adjusted. Our biggest disappointment though was the dirty bedding & the location. We ended up going to a different place for our second night…

Bad A/c, Bad fridge, under accommodating

The a/c is in the front room and can't reach the middle sleeping area and cannot reach to the master bed even though they installed a fan. The a/c broke on the last day likely due to this. It was also dripping condensation down the side of the wall which I hope they fix. They also need to fix the bathroom faucet that sprays a fine stream of water on the floor. Other reviewers said the fridge was freezing food and it still is. If you turn it down, you'll then have melted ice, there is no in between and the renter clearly won't fix it. Only a few things to cook with, plus your coffee will have to be out of paper cups. Don't plan on baking though there is a range. A bit of plastic dishes and some non-plastic plates/bowls. Could we please get even one hook in the bathroom for towels and toiletries. It seems very essential. Your neighbors are about 3 feet from you. We didn't have anyone there for the first couple days, but could have been awkward. The surrounding hotel whose lot you'll park in is very run down and seems to be related to this renter, but not sure. We were able to track down a broom but had no way of keeping the sand out of the house until then. The only positive is the beach location which has a great view. If you're going to choose this place, pack a cooler and other necessities like it's a new camper that you have to stock and that doesn't have a/c.

Poor accommodations

We chose this property because it was right no the beach and it had access to water parks. The cabin was very hot even though we had the AC on 68. Did not help that there is only an AC unit in the front of the cabin and not in the back. We did keep the fans on to circulate the air but it didn’t work great. The fridge froze all of our food, there were minimal dishes and cooking utensils and no glasses or coffee cups. We did ask for items like an additional set of dishes and towels so we had enough for our family of five but they only brought the plates/bowls. Later brought over some disposable cups, towels and dish soap. No trash can was in the bathroom. We kinda gave up and ended up having to eat out the whole time which was very expensive. When we went to the water park it was mostly in disrepair. Only two of the kiddie slides were working, the big slides were closed off and appeared to be broken. Something appeared to be missing or taken down in the pool. It was pretty pitiful and disappointing. The owner was mostly responsive and did come fairly quickly when one of my kids messed up the keyless entry. I did appreciate that. As a whole it was not great for what we paid for. Oh and the flies were terrible outside the cabin and at the beach. Not their fault, but extremely annoying and made it so playing in the sand wasn’t a whole lot of fun.
