Beautiful historic home. Very clean, very comfortable. A/C works great, luxury bedding and inviting front porch to enjoy morning coffee. Host was easy to communicate with and check in/ check out was a breeze. Highly recommend & will stay here again next time we visit Marietta.
I could not have found a more perfect property in which to stay. The house is simply beautiful and the location cannot be beat! We spent many mornings and evenings on the large porch overlooking the gazebo and river in the distance. The house and owners provided everything we needed and could've wanted, the beds and sitting areas were comfortable and the main part of town was so close. I can't wait to return!
Celebrating our friends birthday. The house is so lovely. Beautiful woodwork and even the lighting fixtures were so unique and fit the house perfectly. The front porch is great! We sat there and loved the atmosphere. The only drawback was the air conditioning not working in one of the bedrooms and no air conditioning in another bedroom.
The property was beautiful!! I didn't want to leave. Easy access to restaurants and shopping. Great communication with host. They had everything set and we felt at home right away. Will definitely stay again!!
We fell in love with this old and beautiful home. It is also very comfortable having napped on both couches and the porch swing. We enjoyed our stay and recommend it highly.

The location is great - right across from the park; the front porch is very inviting and the house is beautiful. However only 3 of the 4 bedrooms have air conditioning, and during our stay only 2 of those bedrooms had a working air conditioner, the third spewed debris. We only had 6 towels for 4 people for a 3 night stay. Also, you can only plug in one appliance at a time in the kitchen.
What an amazing home. And almost felt like we were staying in a museum. The place was super clean, had everything we needed, and was in was walking distance to all the places that we needed to be. There is a beautiful park and river just across the street. The beds were super comfy. Would highly recommend!
The house was great. Very roomy and comfortable for our group of 6. Loved sitting on the porch and enjoying the great weather. Took a walking tour of Marietta and visited quite a few great sites. Lots of shopping and dining options within walking distance of the house. We even got to watch homecoming in the park across the street as the students gathered for pictures.
Lovely, comfortable, gracious home. Beds were so comfortable. The home was sparkling clean. Loved the front porch with the swing. Walking distance along the river to sites in Marietta. Would stay again.
It was very befitting to spend the weekend in such a lovely historic home while exploring the history rich town of Marietta. We first noticed the many beautiful features of this spacious home and soon found we would have everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Communication with the owner was easy as was check in. Cleanliness and comfortable bedding are important to us and we weren’t disappointed with either here. We loved sitting on the porch across from the park as well as being able to walk into downtown Marietta.
This is just a really nice house with a lot of character, located across the street from a very pretty park, a two-minute walk to a good ice cream store, about five minutes walk to downtown, maybe three minute drive (or 15 minute walk?) to Marietta College. It has a lot of character and nice old-fashioned charm.
Sitting on the big porch watching the river flow and doing a puzzle was wonderful.
What a great restored old home. Wish the owner would have listed some of the history of the house. Big enough for a bed and breakfast, but it's all yours. Well furnished , clean, and comfortable. Kitchen/ kitchenette is limited.
Second stay at this home. Perfect location. This is an old home so expect vintage charm when you book your stay. Have nothing negative to say about the home or the owner.
Parkview House beautiful historic home - perfect location
Beautiful historic home in downtown Marietta Ohio. Located across from the park and river this home offers a lovely setting to relax, unwind, and enjoy the quaint town. Close to shopping, restaurants, and Marietta College.
Large, comfortable historic home within walking distance of many Marietta treasures and restaurants. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms, and functional bathrooms made for a delightful stay. Kitchen is small and a bit awkward but workable. We would definitely stay again!
Parkview House was the ideal location for walking to shops and restaurants, and for enjoying the trail by the river. The house worked well for our group of 8 adults guests. The 2 bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms were appreciated. The butlers pantry made a functional kitchenette with microwave, toaster oven and griddle (no range/oven).
By far, our favorite place in the house was the front porch! We loved morning coffee and afternoon happy hour as we enjoyed watching and listening to the acitvities in the park. The stairs were challenging for my 85 year old mother, so the downstairs bathroom was really nice. The loving care and upkeep of the house was obvious. We recommend staying here if you are visiting Marietta.
