Casali di Bibbiano has officially renamed itself Ombroneta, paying tribute to the Ombrone River that winds through the valley below our estate. This name reflects not only our deep connection to this land but also our commitment to evolving while honoring the past.

Over the last two years, Ombroneta has undergone extensive renovations both inside and out. Our new infinity pool offers breathtaking views of the Tuscan hills, while our updated gym and sauna as well as our redesigned interiors provide a refreshed sense of luxury and tranquility. Extensive landscaping now seamlessly blends the natural beauty of the region with the estate’s charm. We've also added a bocce court, perfect for enjoying the outdoors with family and friends.

While much has changed, our dedication to excellence remains unwavering. Alberto planted the very vineyards we cherish today in the 1990s, and we are committed to building upon his legacy. Under new leadership, our winery has adopted modern techniques, enhancing the quality and character of our wines while preserving their authentic Tuscan spirit.

In addition to these updates, we continue to improve upon our guests' experiences with helicopter wine tours, e-bike adventures to nearby points of interest, and unique dining events where you can indulge in gourmet meals paired with our finest wines. You can also participate in cooking classes with our private chef, offering you the chance to explore the vibrant flavors of Tuscany firsthand.

The estate sits in a part of Tuscany where nature, history, and art give life to a landscape recognized in 2004 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The vast vineyards, gardens, and hilltop views at Ombrineta have inspired artists from the Renaissance to today.

The recently renovated grounds now feature elegant pergolas, tranquil water features, and peaceful spaces perfect for quiet contemplation amidst the beauty of Tuscany.

The estate also boasts a stunning infinity swimming pool, gym, sauna, bocce, tennis and basketball courts, and access to the world-renowned golf course, Castiglion del Bosco.
Situated just a few kilometers from Buonconvento and a short drive from Montalcino and Siena guests can also visit the nearby medieval villages of Bagno Vignoni, San Quirico D’Orcia, and Monticchiello or tour the Cappella di Vitaleta or the iconic Bosco di Cipressi.

Ombrtoneta was founded by prominent restaurateur, Alberto Guadagnini, in 1993. Over the years he lovingly restored and added to the estate under the name Casali di Bibbiano – creating an authentic Tuscan getaway that combined the best parts of a private villa experience with special amenities usually found in boutique, luxury hotels.

For its many guests, the estate has come to feel like a second home or private hotel. It’s renowned for its attentive service, stunning vistas, and amazing wine and dining experiences.

The estate has hosted dignitaries, celebrities, and families alike from around the world all looking for that perfect Tuscan escape.

The property came under new ownership in late 2022 when a tightly knit group of friends bought the estate. As extensive luxury travelers throughout Italy and the world, they fell in love immediately with the Estate for all the unique qualities and charm that make it so appealing to sophisticated and discriminating travelers. The Estate was renamed in 2024 to Ombroneta as an homage to the Ombrone River that flows through the valley below.

They have maintained the unique atmosphere and culinary experiences that Alberto first helped cultivate while at the same time introducing a high level of luxury and service excellence to which they are accustomed.
