Home away from home: ours and yours
My husband is an Iowa Writer's Workshop graduate with close ties to the University. He bought this condo in 2007 when it was renovated from a fraternity house into three condos. We own the lower floor where the common areas were, so it offers several oversized rooms to enjoy. We recently renovated and furnished it so we can share the beauty of this location with others and enjoy it ourselves a few times a year. It is nestled at the edge of Fraternity row, so there is daytime foot traffic and activity, but it enjoys mostly peace and quiet due to its layout. My husband is an avid reader, so the condo is stocked with a wide variety of books to enjoy while you stay.
The furniture is clean, modern, and comfortable. There is more than enough seating for four to spread out in the condo. The beds are comfortable with new bed linens. The bathrooms are stocked with high-quality towels, toiletries (Aromatherapy), facial tissues, and soft toilet paper.
There are some amazing restaurants nearby, but if you get the itch...I am an avid cook, so the kitchen is fully stocked with all the pots/pans/dishes/glassware/utensils needed to make a meal if you desire. We stock the fridge with a few items to get your stay off to the right start: Local dairy, a cheese platter, and local bread to name a few items. The Nespresso machine is easy to use and makes a far superior "cuppa joe" than any Keurig, yet there is really good coffee in IC too. There are cleaning supplies, including paper and microfiber towels.
We can give you many ideas for places to go in the surrounding area. We explore more and more every time we go and love sharing our favorites.
