About this property

Historic Cottage perched above Kinsale Harbour

Beautiful, restored historic cottage available to guests for the first time in 341 years.
Built by Sir Robert Southwell in 1682 for widows of Protestant tradesmen, this charming cottage is one of five houses within a unique compound overlooking spectacular Kinsale harbour.

The character-filled cottage offers a separate well-equipped country-style kitchen and the living room with wood-fired stove and original beams. The sofa which converts to a double bed ( if required) nestles in the cosy nook.

Upstairs has a queen-size bed and plenty of built-in storage. Double wood-plank oak doors lead to the bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower and built in cabinetry.

Visitors enjoy use of the communal garden offering excellent harbour views Less than a handful of minutes' walk takes you to town centre with it's renowned restaurants and many other historic attractions.
