Kick back and relax in this thoughtfully updated cottage. It's the kind of place where time slows down and simple pleasures shine.

Inside, you'll find a semi-custom kitchen with leathered granite counters and stainless appliances - fully stocked with all the dishes and glassware you'll need for your family of four.

The spacious bathroom has a beautiful 48" custom tile shower (no tub) and both bedrooms are ready for restful nights after your mountain adventures.

Start your mornings on the screened front porch with a hot cup of locally roasted coffee. It's a favorite spot for reading, relaxing, or just breathing in the fresh air. The porch has comfy seating for three or four, perfect for unwinding any time of day.

Out back, a fenced yard wraps around the cottage, offering a mix of sunshine and shade. Relax on the deck with casual seating for four. Share dinner or a game of checkers under the custom pergola, or listen to raindrops on the metal roof during a shower.

As the sun sets, gather around the Solo fire pit. We provide enough firewood for at least two fires -and yes, we've got throws if the evening air turns crisp.

Enjoy a game of croquet or corn hole on the lawn.

Stroll over to the Tuxedo community park and enjoy the basketball/pickleball court (borrow our pickleball set), playground, paved trail and Pollinator Garden.

Not in the mood to cook? Grubhub & Door Dash deliver right to the cottage.

Whether you're adventuring outdoors or lounging with a book on the porch, this cozy cottage is your home base for making mountain memories.

Lake Summit is a 4 minute walk. Flat Rock: 3 miles, Hendersonville: 8 miles, Travelers Rest: 22 miles, Asheville: 35 miles. 7 miles to Ride Rock Creek Mountain Bike Park. Hike Carl Sandburg National Historic Site, Palmetto Trail or DuPont State Forest.

Guest access: You'll have access to the whole house and grounds.

Other things to note: Dollar General is across the street from Tuxedo Park if you need supplies.

NOTE: Your safety matters. There is a doorbell camera on the front porch. The camera faces the front driveway. It does not look into any interior spaces. The device camera records video/audio when it detects motion or when the video doorbell button is pressed.

Fantastic cottage

We loved staying at this beautiful cottage. The host thought of every detail to make it a great stay. The kitchen was well stocked.Location was great, maybe 20 minutes to Hendersonville. Our dog loved the fenced in yard. Beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Cutest house!

We throughly enjoyed our stay at April’s cottage. So nice to have the large fenced in yard for our dog, and a dog park nearby! Also enjoyed taking walks around the lake, and visiting nearby Flat Rock and Hendersonville. Great central location for exploring the area!

Indeed a happy place

This is a great property right outside of Hendersonville where you can really get away from it all! The lake nearby is a great place to take a walk or run in the mornings. The house is more than we could have hoped for- fenced in yard is great for dogs. We hope to be back!

Quiet Neighborhood

Listing is accurate. We found everything we could possibly need. Nice park a short distance away. The screened porch is a nice touch and the fenced yard was great for our dog. Definitely recommend this property to others traveling with pets.

Happy Place indeed!

This clean, cozy cottage was perfect for our needs. We loved the games and DVDs onsite and our dog loved the back yard space! The host has labeled items making navigating the cottage/ locating items easy. Communication with the host was fantastic. We enjoyed our time here and hope to visit again soon!

As on previous stay..like HOME away from Home…..We plan to be here every Spring & Fall.

My Happy Place became OUR HAPPY PLACE.. My first visit was solo with my two toy poodles. The yard is their favorite.. owner, April thought of everything. Quiet neighborhood and fenced yard and several comfortable places outside ( even if raining, cover picnic area), so you are not limited to home and front porch .We are very grateful that MHP survived Helene. Great to visit small businesses to help their Recovery efforts ..

Another fantastic visit to this cottage and the area! This property does not disappoint. This time we enjoyed a beautiful morning run around the lake before heading out on other adventures. Lake summit Cottage

This cottage was so well equipped and comfortable, I will definitely stay there again if I visit the area. The kitchen is a chef's kitchen with sharp knives, good cookware, and all the necessary appliances. There is a great fire pit with a smores kit. The owners do a great job putting special touches together - pickleball kit and games, charcoal for the grill, and a lovely front porch. We were there in the heat of the summer and it was a cool sanctuary.

Love this House

We are building a house in the area and have been staying at many different VRBO's over the last 180 months. We loved this one the most. I felt like I was at home. Little things were available like tupperware, spices and storage bags. There are multiple outside spaces to hang out. The area is nice an quiet and the yard is private. Inside is layed out nicely and just has everything you would need. Highly recommend. The only negative is that it is booked the next time we are planning on coming to the area. HAHA

Best little Cottage home ever....

I have learned to find what better fits myself and my "liddles" (toy poodles). Having a fully fenced yard to hang out with them with good outdoor setting and peaceful neighborhood was just the the perfect fit. It was good also to stay a week and will be returning in October with hubby and pups. Near enough to family as well. Hope to come every Spring and Fall from Florida. The owner thought of everything and was the perfect Hostess with perfect hospitality service and care.

Solo trip with the pup

My Happy Place was the perfect spot for a solo trip with my pup. April was the BEST hostess. She had every detail covered in this cute little cottage. The fenced backyard was perfect and the location was great. The screened front porch was perfect for a rainy day. I could not ask for a better place or hostess. Next time, I guess I’ll let my husband tag along. Ha! There’s even room for another couple.

Girls getaway

I have stayed at many VRBO properties in the past but I must say this was absolutely the best place I've ever stayed. I have stayed in newer homes but none could compare to this home and host, April. This was the cutest, warmest home away from home. It is all the extras April does that makes your stay so wonderful. The home is absolutely the cleanest I have ever stayed in. Perfectly Charming!

I cannot say enough about this property. I’ve stayed in every kind of place all over the country and I believe this little house just might be my favorite. It was super clean, easily accessible, had thoughtful amenities, and was just beautiful inside and out. Our dog loved the yard. We enjoyed s’mores (ingredients and tools provided!) over the fire pit. The bed (only used one) was comfy with plenty of bedding and pillows. I loved the oversized towels in the bathroom! Shower was good and hot. Our host was kind and accommodating. This was our first time to the Hendersonville area and we plan to stay again!

The entire property was clean, well stocked, and well decorated. The kitchen was one of the best stocked we’ve ever seen. The backyard is fenced, which is great for pets. The deck has plenty of seating, some of which is covered. We enjoyed the fire pit and the supply of wood. The checkout process was simple and asked very little of us. We stayed for three weeks and would happily return. April was quick to respond to any communications we sent, none of which were about any issues with the house.
