We had a great time at the house. Nice location close to Jay. House was very clean and well stocked with the essentials. The recorded player was a nice touch. Would book again!
The original parts of the cottage like the floors, kitchen sink and the swing on the beam were complemented with the updated bathroom and bedrooms. The record player was a nice nostalgic touch to a relaxing weekend. Easy drive to Jay Peak. In the winter it may be hard to park two cars. Looking forward to staying again next season.
The home was charming. However i would mention that both bedrooms are upstairs which maybe a little challenging for some .You should also put a time limit on thst tub didn't want to get out.
Sweet house in great location close to Jay Peak. There are two lofts that each have comfy queen beds. Steps are somewhat narrow and steep but not an issue for our group. My young niece loved the swing in the middle of the living room as did the adults. There is a great record collection, turntable and blue tooth speaker. Kitchen needs another skillet as there is only one but otherwise the place is very well stocked. The listing does not note that there is washer and dryer included,So we were pleasantly surprised to find that we could do laundry. We would definitely stay here again.

The school house is very unique in character and very charming, but it’s a bit of a challenge to stay here. Stairs to the bedroom lofts are very steep. Bathroom is very cold in the winter and has a sink that is unnecessarily tiny and hard to use. The kitchen was basically clean but carelessly organized - needed to hunt for pots, bowls etc that were scattered between cupboards. Very little available in the form of basic pantry items not even any salt. The guest manual could focus less on how to use the record player and more on on the practical such as how to clean up at the end of the stay and adjust the heating etc…Finally the host was very slow to respond. Had to ask for check in information several times before receiving it, the same with any of the few questions we had during our stay including “ is there any way we can contact you and get a faster reply?”
A really lovely space for a relaxing stay. Mostly a large open room with one open loft bedroom and another bedroom that is very private. This worked out well for us because we were traveling with our 20 year old daughter and her boyfriend and they wanted privacy while we just wanted to hang out. My only heads up is that the stairs to the loft bedroom were a bit treacherous. I'm in my 50s and got a good workout from them but if you have any problems with climbing or heights or if you have little kids I would pass. The area is very rural though there are houses within sight. The roads are right there but there's very little traffic, some ATVs. One weekday night one of the neighbors mowed his lawn for hours but otherwise, very quiet. The local town is also very low key. We were there in July but I'm sure it's very busy in the winter because of the proximity of Jay Peak. Just a lovely space.
