About this property

Fly-Fishing Haven, 5 Min to Glacier Park, Scenic Home with Hot Tub & Firepit

Welcome to our home in West Glacier, a vacation destination for the books. Our three-bedroom, three-bathroom home is situated just a few minutes from the Glacier National Park entrance, and just a stone's throw away from the Middle Fork Flathead River - a haven for anglers! This stretch of the river is known for being rich in cutthroats, often reaching up to 16 inches, making it an exceptional spot for fly fishing enthusiasts. It is also one of Montana’s premier whitewater rivers providing continual whitewater, mainly Class II rapids, with numerous Class III & IV rapids as well for an unforgettable rafting experience. It's the perfect location for guests looking to explore the outdoor activities Montana offers, from fishing to exploring Glacier National Park, making this the ideal choice for a restorative nature getaway.
Our property is equipped with the ultimate conveniences for making up to 10 guests feel right at home. Large groups, multi-families, and weekenders alike will adore our curated living spaces, decked out with premium Crate & Barrel and Article furnishings and scenic windows.
Upon check-in, stake your claim in one of the three bedrooms before exploring the rest of the home. The main floor primary suite has so much to offer, from a deluxe Helix king bed, to blackout curtains and spacious closets. The best part? It has a gorgeous ensuite bathroom with a double vanity and standing shower. Trust us, this will be the best sleep of your life after all that hiking.
If you don’t score the primary suite, head to the two second-floor guest rooms. The first comes with a deluxe king bed and a small office nook (hello free WiFi!), with million-dollar views of the golf course and Glacier mountains. The second room has a cozy queen bed, with full bathroom access right in the hallway. This one’s got a bathtub!
There are also some bonus abodes perfect for kids! The young ones will love the bunk loft with two twin bunk beds, right across the hall from the dreamy sunroom stocked with fun board games. You’ll probably fall in love with the sunroom. Get cozy on the swing chairs to soak up the morning sun with a good book, or watch unique wildlife roam from the scenic windows.
All unpacked? It’s time to check out the other living spaces. The main floor offers an artfully designed living room with a large sectional sofa and a 75” Smart TV with ROKU. This is a great place to connect with each other over a night of Netflix binging or board game tournaments. If you’re craving even more entertainment, pop into the cool garage-turned-game room space. Challenge each other to a friendly game of ping pong or foosball.
Feeling a little peckish? You’re in luck–our modern kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook your favorite meals. Meal prep from the spacious countertops or kitchen island while your coffee or tea brews. Then gather around the kitchen dining nook or large 10-chair dining room table to enjoy your food and great conversation.
Now that you’ve experienced maximum indoor comfort, it’s time to make the most of our outdoor amenities. Our outdoor patio setup allows for romantic al fresco dining, and fun lawn games like cornhole and Oversized Jenga. Gather around the fire pit while you grill up something delicious. Then savor a soothing soak in the hot tub under the crystal-clear Montana stars. The private back yard opens into the golf course with lovely mountain views.

2023 Update: Glacier National Park is a popular destination for our guests and the park has announced they are continuing the ticketed entry system that has been in place the past two years. In 2023, a vehicle reservation is required for four areas of the park: Going-to-the-Sun Road, the North Fork, Two Medicine, and Many Glacier. Each location has unique details and requires a separate reservation.

May 26 through September 10 reservations are required for Going-to-the-Sun Road westside entrances and the North Fork from 6 am to 3 pm.

July 1 through September 10 reservations are required for east side entrances including Many Glacier, Two Medicine, and Going-to-the-Sun Road from Rising Sun from 6 am to 3 pm.

We highly recommend checking out the park’s website for most up to date information if you are planning to visit Glacier National Park during your stay.

Simply Amazing
This space is not only beautiful, but it's also comfortable, convenient, and stylish. I enjoyed fly fishing each morning in the river by the house, and my dad loved the fire pit and the golf course right in the backyard. The well-equipped kitchen allowed us to make all our own meals, providing a welcome break from restaurants during part of our journey. I would highly recommend this place to anyone planning to visit Glacier Park!

Luxurious Vacation
If you're looking for a quality property with a responsive host and the best possible location in West Glacier...this is it. The house was perfect for our family of 10. We had lots of room to spread out. Yumna went above and beyond anything we could have asked for. Everything was very clean and she had all the amenities we could have needed. We were a short 10-15 minute drive to Apgar/Lake McDonald and were able to catch a glimpse of the northern lights at Lake McDonald around midnight! Would love to stay again!

Fabulous Location
The location was fabulous as we were going to Glacier for the Autumn colors and less people. This was perfect and the stars at night were amazing! The property itself needs some maintenance and attention that was difficult to overlook. I have outlined these to Yumna so that hopefully future guests can consider the environment top notch again.

I am a passionate travel and hospitality expert who’s always wanted to turn my love of travel into a way to host other travelers and curate their own memorable experiences. As an avid vacation renter myself, the things that have made the biggest difference in my own trips are the small gestures and personal touches I find at various stays. I’m grateful that I get to offer these same impactful gifts of hospitality to my own guests today. When I’m not managing my rental, you can catch me exploring the richness of new cultures and destinations through outdoor adventures and delicious local food. I’m also a big hiker and skier in my downtime.

Why they chose this property

Our home in West Glacier is situated in the perfect location, nestled in the woods and mountains just outside the West Glacier Village entrance of Glacier National Park. Being just a quick 5-minute drive to a national park entrance, guests can easily beat the crowds and take advantage of the best hikes and scenic attractions before lots and trails fill up. The natural beauty of this area is uncontended, and there is something to do here in every season for every type of traveler and vacationer. Nature lovers will appreciate the plethora of outdoor activities. Right across the street from our house is the Middle Fork Flathead River, with an access point just a short walk away. This is a perfect spot for fly fishing to catch cutthroats, often reaching up to 16 inches, or launch your kayak or raft, or enjoy a refreshing swim. There are also tons of mountainous hiking trails like Avalanche Lake Trail, opportunities for camping, fishing, horseback riding, scenic drives like Going-to-the-Sun Road, canoeing spots on Lake McDonald, and more. In the winter, visitors can also try nordic skiing and snowshoeing through the magical forested trails. Our guests can simply enjoy a restorative staycation surrounded by magnificent scenery without ever having to leave the property. Or they can take advantage of local conveniences in West Glacier Village. You’ll find convenience stores, a gas station, local eateries, and even an ice cream shop all just 5 minutes from the house.

You’re also seconds from a river and golf course, plus 360-degree wildlife viewing from the cozy sunroom. This will be an idyllic staycation or national park adventure to remember. I decided to create a vacation rental here in West Glacier because the location itself is absolutely unparalleled. There is literally something for everyone here, right outside the entrance of Glacier National Park. My goal was to offer a modern, well-equipped space for enjoying relaxation and rejuvenation. But the home had to also be in an incredible location for those that love mountain hikes, river walks, fishing, kayaking or rafting and adrenaline-pumping recreation. I found it all with this property! What’s more, the area is laid back and the locals are very warm and welcoming, which adds to the dreamy atmosphere of this mountain escape.
