This was our second time staying there in the past year which should say something. Beautiful location right on a trout stream. Secluded. Host has always been responsive and accommodating. A great place to stay in Wisconsins driftless region!
The property is great for a nice getaway. If you hunt around the area it would be a great place to stay for that. We enjoyed having a fire outside under the lights. Plenty of outdoor furniture. We explored the area up and down the Mississippi. We also hiked at Duck Egg County Forest. We would definitely visit again!
Fantastic place to stay in the Driftless! Stream is full of trout and there is fast access to other trout streams. Home was clean and comfortable and just right for our long weekend. 10 stars!
Wonderful cabin in a very quiet setting, even for the July 4th holiday. Beautiful grounds and enough amenities to satisfy any traveler. If you just want a place to get away from the city this is the place!
This was our second stay at the cabin and it was just as impressive as the first time! Location is perfect for seclusion yet close enough to town. We look forward to future visits!!!
Views from the cabin property are awesome. Off the road and private. Owner lives on nearby property several hundred yards away so accessible if needed, but not too close. Have stayed at several places in the driftless area before and this is right up there!!!
Had a good time at the cabin. Even was able to catch a few trout but had to stand in a pouring rain to do it. Cabin is nicely equipped with everything you need. Owners easy to deal with and answer any questions promptly.
The location is very private. We sat above the trout stream and had the best view of the valley. The house was perfectly set up for us as a couple with restaurants being a short drive away. Thanks Kevin for hosting us.
What a place! Great location in a beauty valley in the driftless with direct access to a very healthy trout stream. The house was pristine. The property was so well kept. The hosts were very helpful. Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed this place.
Great property, hosts have thought of everything. Kitchen is well stocked: crockpot, pizza oven, toaster oven, ice maker, etc. Nice shower with good pressure and hot water. Every inch of the house was clean. The property is beautiful with a breath-taking view from the 'back' of the house. A really nice touch was that all light switches were marked as to what they powered on and off. the check in and out times were very generous: you can get in at 11:00 and do not have to be out until 3:00. We will definitely be back.
A friend and I stayed here for a weekend and had a great time. Location is very close proximity to some excellent streams. The house has everything you need and great views. We even went down to the stream at sunset one day and caught a few trout there. We would definitely stay here again!
My family had a great time! Fly fishing steps away from the front door. It felt like we had the whole valley to ourselves but Viroqua is only a 20 minute drive away. The cabin was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. The driveway does cross the creek, which was not a problem for our SUV, but that is something to be aware of depending on your own vehicle. Great house and great hosts!
Our group had a fantastic weekend at the property. House was clean and well appointed. Grounds were beautiful, good views, great fishing. Would love to come back.
We had a great stay. The property is well maintained and the view is amazing. Pro tip: don’t panic when about to cross the creek it’s not that deep. Thanks so much for opening your property to us!
Great location and beautiful surroundings. Very quiet and private. Perfect for relaxing. We enjoyed walking along and fishing in the stream. Short drive to Viroqua and it’s quaint downtown. Definitely recommend it.
The cabin was clean and better than the pictures! It exceeded our expectations. The location was great for what we needed. Kevin was easy and fast to communicate with. A hidden gem on the Frohock.
The cabin was so clean and perfect upon arriving. The location is beautiful, the accommodations were perfect for my family of 4. The hosts had coffee and creamer, sparkling waters and condiments in the clean frig. Beds were comfortable, lots of good lighting and books about the area. The fly fishing was great in the Bad Axe River in the front of the house. We would definitely stay here again!
