Luxurious Rustic Log Home with Great Water Views and Sunsets!
This beautiful custom built, three-story Real Log Home is located on a 1 ½ acre lot on Lake Keowee. The owner/builder constructed the 5000+ sq. ft. home in 2005 and captured all of the fine details. Not only does the home provide large open water and mountain views, but the lot has plenty of trees and green space.
The home has 6 large bedrooms and 3 ½ baths, a spacious loft area with incredible lake views. Five of the home’s bedrooms offer a picturesque view of the lake. Three bedrooms are upstairs with a Jack and Jill Bathroom. The main level includes the master bedroom and master bath (shower, jetted tub, separate his and her vanities). French doors open from the master room onto the deck.
The great room has a high vaulted tongue & groove ceilings and has windows from the floor to ceiling to capture the beauty of Lake Keowee. Beautiful hickory wood floors are on the main level (carpet and tile in the master bedroom and bath). The dining room is included in this open floor plan. Dine inside or out and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.
A gourmet chef’s kitchen includes a five burner gas range, dual ovens, a microwave, two side by side refrigerators with dual ice makers and bottom freezers, walk-in pantry, beverage cooler, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, spacious island with prep sink and filtered water tap, deep double commercial sink with disposal and cutting area. The breakfast bar provides additional seating. This kitchen overlooks the great room and dining area. This kitchen will bring out the gourmet in you.
The home has two spacious decks. The deck off of the main level includes a fireplace, porch swing, and gas grill. The deck off of the lower level provides you with an easy access to the lake.
The walk-out basement includes two bedrooms and a full bathroom. A great room includes a Clemson orange pool table, separate ping pong table, dart board, wet bar, and flat screen television.
A laundry room with a washer and dryer is available for use on the main level.
A newly built firepit area with great views of the lake along with a concrete golf cart path to the dock.
A private covered dock, wave runner ramp, and two kayaks continue the adventure. Not only does the dock provide great swimming opportunities, but it also provides a relaxing backdrop. The location also provides easy access to a boat ramp (less than 1/2 mile – Warpath Landing). In fact, you can view the ramp from the neighborhood. For your convenience, there is plenty of space to park your boat trailer at the top of our driveway.
Great location. The home is within minutes to Clemson and Seneca. Downtown Greenville, SC and Cashiers NC is approximately 45 minutes.
As well, I have a pontoon boat that can be rented with the house at a good price!

Lovely, relaxing spot on Lake Keowee. The online photos really don’t do it justice. Loved our stay for a Clemson graduation. Perfect location and was a wonderful refuge to retire to after festivities to just relax and enjoy family time. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Fantastic home with a jaw-dropping view. Lots of bedrooms and beds to accommodate our group. Immaculately clean. We enjoyed the dock, and the large, well-equipped kitchen was extremely helpful in feeding our crew.
The house and property are absolutely amazing! Plenty of rooms, bathrooms, outdoor areas, and lots of dock space for wave runners, a boat, laying in the sun, and swimming in the lake. House was immaculate! Kitchen is big and has everything you need to cook including two ovens, two fridges, large professional sink, and second sink. We will definitely stay here again!
Very steep driveway and walk to boat dock. Thank goodness our elderly family didn’t stay with us because they couldn’t have walked the steep hill to boat dock.
The house is great, perfect layout. Nice and spacious with great kitchen for big groups (2 full size fridges, double ovens, huge industrial double sink). Basement was perfect for our 8 teenagers to hang out, play pool and ping pong. We rented the pontoon which was really nice, no pickup or drop off hassles, it was just there waiting for us. Owner very responsive. Walk to the dock is very steep, which was not a problem for us at all. Will rent here again!
We love this lake and the house and property were perfect for our crew. The location and proximity to Seneca and Clemson, and the quick 2 hour drive from Atlanta were very convenient. House is well positioned on the lake for exploring the southern and northern parts. Great kitchen and family area that was perfect for hanging out, with a wonderful deck and views right through the door.
Richard was super helpful and responsive. Can’t wait to come back!
Fantastic house, wonderful location!! We were aware of the steepness of the trek to the lake and it was somewhat challenging. Our main complaint was the temperature in the house. It was a very hot week and the air conditioning apparently couldn't keep up. Otherwise, it was a perfectly wonderful experience!!!
Beautiful home. Plenty of space. Open floor plan kitchen and living area very nice for hanging out and entertaining. Gas fireplaces do not work. French door to deck broken and would not lock. One queen bed could not be used cause mattress too old and sagged to center. Downstairs overall very nice!!
This home was perfect for my large extended family. We needed a home with many bedrooms to hold our big family to have my mothers 90th birthday gathering. This beautiful home had plenty of room to spread out and never feel on top of each other. The downstairs game room kept the adults very occupied with lots of things to do. The view was great to wake up to and have coffee. The host was great to work with when I had questions. The only draw back and the pics show it is the hill down to the water. It’s very steep for older people. But all the homes in that area have steep driveways. We enjoyed the home so much that we will be back again.

Beautiful house and property but furniture needs updating.
We rented for the Christmas holiday and wish there would have been Christmas decorations to make it feel more homey. The owner was very good communicating with me and the check in process was very easy as well. The house was really spacious for 9 adults. The kitchen was great and accommodated many cooks at once. The view is incredible.
As for the furniture, all of it could use replacing. The cushions are worn to point of feeling like you were almost sitting on the floor. Also with all of the space in this home, more seating is needed. The beds are in the same condition.
Despite the furnishings, we were able to all be together for the holidays and enjoy some great family time.

Merry Christmas! We're glad that you enjoyed your stay. We agree that it is time to switch out a few pieces of furniture. We strive to have furnishings that are attractive, comfortable, and durable. We want our guests to feel comfortable. In order to keep our rates down and attractive, we update items periodically and planning to do so in the up-coming off season. We can sleep up to 16 people and we haven't had an issue before due to lack of seats.
As for Christmas decorations, we don't always have the house available for rent during the holidays. It's a special time for us, too. I know that you inquired about decorations before your stay and we promptly replied. However, if there is a future demand for holiday decorations, we may be able to offer a concierge service. Usually, guests want to put their own touch on decorations, etc.
We loved our family vacation in this large well equipped house on Lake Keowee! We had our entire family including adult kids and grandchildren for an enjoyable lake vacation. We had 9 adults, 4 children and one baby and had plenty of bedrooms and areas for the adults and children to hang out. There is a loft area where 3 additional children could sleep if necessary but it is open to the living area below. Our children loved playing the games up there. The kitchen has 2 refrigerators, 2 ovens, a large commercial sink, large pantry and large table making it ideal to prepare meals for everyone. We usually don’t have enough refrigerator space. The house was well stocked with most of the kitchen items we needed: enough dinnerware, cutlery, pots and pans and 2 coffeemakers. We brought our own crockpot. Also had basics like PT, TP, DW soap, soap…Everyone enjoyed playing pool and ping pong in the basement. We loved hanging out at the dock and swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking. There were plenty of life jackets and a few floats. We brought them for the baby and smaller children. We also rented the pontoon boat and enjoyed cruising around the lake. We also made s’mores by the fire pit one night. The TVs took a minute to figure out but my sons were able to get them on. The only negative as mentioned in other reviews is the steepness of the walk down to the lake and back up! It would be impossible for a disabled or elderly person.
Our family met for a Clemson football game - fabulous location and minutes from campus. Mr. Richard was an excellent communicator. The house is on a steep lot (so it was a little tough for the older ones). But otherwise, it was awesome!
House is quite large. Amazing location. Stocked with more items then noted. Every board game you can think of. Float toys, life jackets, “beach” towels, plenty of outdoor seating. Fire pit chairs need to be updated, but all the other seating was nice. Having a boat with the house is a huge plus. It’s not fancy like ones you can rent but it’s nice enough. They even have a keurig and regular coffee pot. We’ve always done beach trips and took a chance on this trip. Glad we did! We will do it again!
The house was great for three families. Lots of room for the kids to hang out away from the parents. The driveway and paved path to the lake are very steep (not sure that those with mobility issues would be safe getting to and from the lake). Fire pit was fantastic for s’mores and cove was good for swimming and kayaking. Kids spent hours in the lake even in the rain.
We had a wonderful time. The property was clean, spacious and well appointed. The only thing a prospective renter might want to know is that due to the steep slope of the property, it's probably not appropriate for the very young or oldest members of your family.

Why they chose this property
I grew up on Lake Keowee and always wanted to build a house on the lake. Once that day came, I wanted a big open water view with nice sunsets. I purchase two lots side by side back in 1998 and never look back. This is such a unique property with year round sunsets and very peaceful.
What makes this property unique
You will be amaze of just the number of different wildlife you can spot on any given day. Just sitting off the back deck, you will be able to experience how peaceful it really is!
