This studio garage apartment was built in 2012. It has wood floors and is bright and cheery. The kitchen features a refrigerator, cook top, convection microwave and all the basic kitchen ware and dishes. The bathroom has a full bathtub and skylight. There is a queen bed with storage drawers below as well as a queen pull out couch. The location is great! You can walk or bike to Zilker Park, Barton Springs, and South Lamar. We are also close to downtown.

Studio in a quiet neighborhood

The studio was beautiful and well equipped! We were only 10-15 minutes from everywhere we wanted to visit. The neighborhood was quiet and lovely, and our host was wonderful! Would strongly recommend this place!

The apartment was exactly what we needed for the weekend. While the set up is a studio, it is spacious and segmented making it roomy and a good use of space. It has a full size fridge, queen bed, kitchen cooktop, microwave, toaster oven, dishes and utensils, a large closet with hangers, drawers under the bed, a nice bathroom with tub and shower, and the AC worked great.Street parking worked out fine and the neighborhood is quiet but a short uber or drive to anything you want in Austin. My only recommendation would be a light on the house number (just a solar powered landscape light would do) and exterior lighting near the apartment because it is very dark, maybe a motion sensor.

Trip to Austin with daughter

The property was accurately described, reasonably priced, and in a great location. There was plenty of space for my daughter and me, between the large bed and pull out couch. Would definitely recommend to others.

Great location! Great space! Good for a jumping off point to all the fun in Austin.

Located in a beautiful area in Austin, this property provides easy access to the hip South Congress area and city center. It’s a great space. Its clean, modern design is attractive, simple and comfortable. It’s very private and well appointed. The only thing lacking was some kind of home entertainment. All that was provided was a small, flat screen computer monitor with an HDMI cable attached.

Immaculate apartment in a great neighborhood.

Joi and her husband were extremely accommodating and friendly! The one-room open apartment is gorgeous, clean and modern. It was exactly what we needed. We were there for ACL and it was an easy walk to Zilker Park. The neighborhood was quiet and we loved all of the trees. There are also restaurants nearby. We would definitely stay here again!

Quiet & convenient

Great neighborhood & apartment. Convenient to the Zilker trails & great restaurants within walking distance (we loved Uncle Billy's). We were there for a triathlon event at Zilker Park & Lady Bird Lake -- worked perfectly! Great, open, clean and comfy apartment. The owner was very accommodating with check in & check out times.

Cozy, clean and quiet

We had a great stay. We were doing a lot of hiking, running, eating and exploring and honestly didn't spend a lot of time at the apartment because we were so close to a lot of great activities and restaurants. The location can't get be any better. Close to greenbelt, downtown and lamar/congress/barton springs. Apartment was very clean and roomy for a couple. Kitchen was a great addition if you are cooking there. Neighborhood is quiet and fun to walk around (cool and eclectic houses) if you like seeing the character of an area. Simple, clean and great. A couple of things you might consider, there is nowhere to hang out outside of this place, it is a garage apartment at a family home. If the weather is nice and want a porch or balcony there isn't one. Also no TV. We don't really watch tv so it was fine for us. The family home aspect made the place very quiet which is a big plus.

Why they chose this property

We love the feel of this neighborhood. It is quintessential Austin and so close to Zilker Park, the Lady Bird Lake trails and Downtown. We love to visit Barton Springs and ride our bikes or walk to the many festivals we have in town throughout the year, plus we have lots of restaurants and shops on S. Lamar and downtown. From this neighborhood, we can enjoy everything Austin has to offer without the hassle of driving and parking.

What makes this property unique

We wanted this home to be modern, comfortable and simple. It was beautifully designed by a talented local Austin Architect and built by a wonderful local custom builder. The home has also received the highest green rating, 5 Stars, by Austin Energy Green Building. We are excited to share this home with you!
