The beach is a short walk among the trees, very private and FULL of clams - got to teach our daughter some key PNW beach skills. Ryan and Tina were super communicative and helpful from well before our trip through the end of the stay - wonderful hosts! We highly recommend visiting the big cat sanctuary on the island. 10/10, would love to stay here again. Thanks for a wonderful few days, Ryan!"

We really enjoyed this house! The living space was comfortable and the bedrooms were very nice. We enjoyed the property and the amenities-we grabbed a puzzle from the clubhouse! They had a nice selection of books, games and puzzles.
We absolutely loved staying here. It was the perfect location and so close to the beach. The neighborhood was great and so pretty. A lovely addition was seeing all the deer including the cutest little babies, chipmunks and lots of bald eagles. The house is perfect for a group of family. We had 7 total people (4 kids under 10) and 3 adults. The house is beautiful and comfortable. I highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the Harstine Island area.
New property, very nice, number of beds and baths perfect. Amenities were light, pots, pans, utensils, common kitchen stuff not enough but made do. Would stay again.

We added a brand new set of pots, pans and extra utensils. Hope you can come again sometime.
This was the a quiet and relaxing family vacation. Coming in the colder months made the beaches serene, making us feel like we had the whole place to ourselves. The beach access is a short walk from the property and our young children enjoyed the short adventure. We dug for short neck clams and found over 200 for our homemade clam chowder (licenses acquired prior to visit). Ryan was a fantastic host providing local tips and was quick to respond if we had questions. The house itself is modern and has all the amenities we needed to be comfortable. The hot tub was so enjoyable to soak in after a cold beach day (and very easy to use!). We plan to return to this exact house in the future!

That's awesome! It's amazing how many clams there is out there. Come back anytime. There is a lot of geoducks too but the tide has to be pretty low and it's some work to get them.
Lovely home with very responsive host in friendly community with walking trails, beaches, and beautiful views of south Puget Sound. The quiet house, nestled among cedars with plenty of privacy from nearby homes, was clean and spacious, with an EV charger (and adapter for non-Teslas), AC, and nice kitchen (could have used a few more baking pans, sponges, and cutting boards, but had lots of dishes and some spices and coffee). The house fit our two families (6 of us total) well as we enjoyed cooking, board games, and movies on the big screen. A fawn wandered by the living room window one morning. We walked 5 minutes to the beach to see eagles, herons, and seals. Had a cookout at the tip of the island in the grills and firepits provided (a 1-mile walk away, or drive there). We enjoyed meeting the friendly, long-term community members at the beach and the community center: nice outdoor pool, pickleball courts, pool table, library. Off-island, we liked exploring Shelton (nearest big grocery store), the Olympic Bakery, lavender fields, and ride-the-rails. There was more to do, and we’d love to return.
Overall, this is a great property on Harstine. Over many years of visiting this area, this property ranks right up towards the top for cleanliness, location, ease of interacting with the host, and value for the property.
The location is near the HOA clubhouse and is easily walkable. The spit is a short drive away, but could likely be walked to as well.
We cooked all of our meals at the property. There is ample flatware, plates, bowls, and glasses. There are pots and pans with kitchen utensils, but if you cook extensive meals then brining an additional frying pan might not be a bad idea.
Coffee is provided through a Keurig with pods provided by the host. There is no coffee maker on location, so if you prefer ground coffee then consider bringing a french press. The house is quite new, so that may evolve over time to have a coffee maker.
Plenty of instructions are available on use of the hot tub and appliances. Hot tub was fantastic, clean and sanitization powder is available to keep it that way during your stay.
Thank you to the host for providing a seamless and wonderful experience!
