Pine Needles Cabin is a classic riverside log cabin located between Boone and Blowing Rock. A short six minute drive will take you to Downtown Blowing Rock where you will find local dining and shopping, in addition to the community park. Hop on the Blue Ridge Parkway, about five minutes from the cabin, for scenic overlooks and numerous hiking trails. Nestled in the mountains, this modern cabin seamlessly combines comfort and style. A striking stone fireplace anchors the living area, surrounded by inviting leather furniture. Large windows offer sweeping mountain views, blurring the lines between indoors and nature. Modern design touches, from the well-appointed kitchen to tasteful decor, create a cozy yet refined atmosphere.
We recommend snow chains and AWD/4WD during the winter in the High Country in case of inclement weather.
The property is located in the mountains, please be aware there may be wildlife in the area.

Easy to check in ! Highly recommend!! Clean and cozy cabin! Best cabin I’ve ever stayed in to be completely honest !! Wonderful views , creek and also a cozy Hottub !!
My friends and I had so much fun staying here! After our hike we relaxed in the hot tub and enjoyed the beautiful river and surrounding area. We loved the cozy indoor fireplace. Thanks for a lovely stay!
We really appreciated all of the extra touches! Lots of bath towels, shampoo, conditioner & body wash in the shower, extra blankets & pillows! Everything you need in the kitchen! It was clean & comfortable. Ziggy is a top notch business owner & catered to our needs! We will be returning !
Very comfortable place with great location. Only issue was it was very cold outside and there was no heat on upon arrival and took a long time to warm the place up. Having no central heat, multiple radiant heaters and a few space heaters it was not only slow to warm up but then to regulate the heat. Otherwise it was a very enjoyable stay.Quite clean and comfortable.
We had a fantastic stay at this cozy cabin! It was the perfect place for a family getaway. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The spacious living area made it easy for us to relax together, and the kitchen was great for cooking meals after a day out. One of the biggest highlights was its location – just a short drive to Appalachian Ski Mountain, which made hitting the slopes so convenient. Whether you’re skiing, snowboarding, or just enjoying the scenery, this cabin offers a great base for all your adventures. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!
We had a wonderful time staying here for a birthday weekend in Blowing Rock. The cabin was very clean and cozy. The location was excellent! Just minutes away from everything we needed or wanted to visit nearby. We will definitely stay again.
We had an excellent stay here. This house was convenient to everything, clean, cute and the communication was wonderful. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!
Very nice in the woods type cabin on a nice stream. Cabin was very clean with nice amenities. Got a chance to sit outside by the common area fire pit and enjoy the unseasonal warm weather. Nice new very clean hot tub in place, maybe next time we will use it. Lots of bedding and heaters, beds were good. Good check in and internet. Thank you!
Absolutely horrific experience with the host of this property. We had booked a stay here and unfortunately just days before our scheduled stay, hurricane Helena destroyed the NC mountains. Prior to our visit I had messaged the host about what our options were since western NC was considered impassible. No response. After finally finding a contact number for the host, they had promised a full refund for the stay since we couldn’t go. A week had gone by and no refund. I have now tried to contact the host several more times with no response. I have finally contacted Vrbo directly and the host is denying to them any promise of a refund. What type of customer service is this? This property looks absolutely stunning in the pictures, but be aware of the pathetic and fraudulent customer service.
This cottage is small but has everything you would need for a short trip. The rocking chair porch was relaxing as well as the stream in front. It is in a great location, close to Boone and Blowing Rock. A great time was had while there.
The place was exactly as described and was a perfect quiet getaway for our family. The outdoor area was gorgeous and we really enjoyed sitting out on the chairs by the creek. We also brought our dog with us and she had a fantastic time. The cabin itself was very clean and we were just minutes from restaurants/coffee/grocery stores in Blowing Rock. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick getaway!
Don’t rent until you KNOW it’s been gutted, sanitized & re-carpeted.
REEKED of urine! In poor repair. Feces in the kitchen & eating area. Pet stains on the carpets. Couch was ripped, the lamp was hanging on the metal spokes, doors did not fasten, there was a TERRIBLE odor that could not be removed even after the nice cleaning staff came back. They were nice. Felt bad for them. The cabin was difficult to find. We have asked for a full refund. Very disappointed. We were stuck there with nowhere else to go. Didn’t even want to cook there.
