Our stay was absolutely perfect. The property was impeccable—every detail was thoughtfully curated, and the artwork was simply stunning. The location couldn’t have been better—it was serene and ideal for rest and relaxation, especially for a girls’ trip. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway—highly recommend!

LaTanya, Thank you for taking the time to write us such a wonderful review. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed your girls' trip, and so happy you chose The Art House to host it. We hope to welcome you back again in the future!
We loved everything about our stay! It’s a beautiful home and we enjoyed holiday dinners around the dining table and gathering around the fireplace. The beds and pillows were comfy too!
We felt so lucky to be in the Art House to host Thanksgiving this year! It's a beautiful home, warm and inviting- and the kitchen has everything in it you need. Thank you Jon and Jessica, for providing such a lovely spot for us to celebrate with family.
The property was beautiful. Location was close to family that live in the area. The house was big enough for my family and we loved the fire pit in the back. We will definitely book again when we come to Connecticut if it is available
We had a great experience staying at this lovely home while in the area to visit family. Looking forward to staying again some time. Highly recommend!

This house was not only beautifully decorated, clean and in a stunning location, it was exactly what I needed to get a few days away to relax. Everything went smoothly and the house was perfect for what I needed. Thanks for a great stay!
Enjoyed the Art House very much! Lots of character and very clean! Beds were comfy cozy and central to where we needed to visit! Close to our wedding venue, hiking trails and winery! Would definitely book again!
We so enjoyed our stay at The Art House. It had all the comforts of home and very clean. The grounds were beautifully kept and we were equipped with anything we might need while staying there. Such a pleasant week!
Our family of four (and 2 dogs) enjoyed our stay at the Art House. The home blends modern amenities with a rustic feel; beautifully decorated and cozy. Location was great...close to hiking, restaurants, and cute town of New Milford. We enjoyed relaxing on the patio with the firepit. Large yard was nice for walking our dogs. Communication with host was great; quick and easy check-in/out. The driveway was a little tricky finding the first time at night, but no problem after that. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would recommend.
Jon and Jessica, thank you so much for an incredible experience. You thought of everything for your guests. Every bed is so comfortable, we loved the artwork, and the home exudes relaxation and warmth. It was immaculate and extremely clean. We enjoyed spending the afternoons on the patio and covered porch watching the numerous birds, the sunset, and stargazing. Thank you.

Thank you for your kind words, Scott. We are so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at The Art House, and would love to welcome you back for another visit in the future. Take care!
The house and property were exactly as advertised. It's a rather secluded house that's a stone throw (driving) from a bunch of nearby amenities. The house itself has a great front porch and back patio. Its mostly open concept entry, living room, dining room, and kitchen flows well. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The coffee and snacks were a nice bonus. There's also a bedroom and full bathroom downstairs which was great for my older mother. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms and an office. We only used one of the bedrooms where there was plenty of space and a comfy bed. The upstairs bathroom has only a shower, which worked perfectly for me and my partner. Window air conditioning units were helpful on the warmer days. And, of course, there was beautiful art throughout the house. Finally, our host was communicative throughout. We highly recommend this property.
Charming restored old home with modern conveniences. So clean and spacious, beautifully decorated. Everything was new and fresh and thoughtfully done - we had everything we needed for a family of five. Worked well for kids and adults. Great setup for working from home, too. Hosts were great, easy to contact and very responsive. Convenient location in a gorgeous area of the state - grocery store etc close by. Would highly recommend this property!
Only cons: the driveway was tricky - not good visibility on a road where cars can really pick up speed. Mirrors helped. Take your time getting out! And the brand new washer and dryer (yay!) was in a typical old-house basement (not yay!). But those were minor things and overall a really wonderful experience.

Katie, Thank you for taking the time to write us such a thoughtful review. We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed yourselves, and hope to host you again sometime. Take care!
The home is lovely and well appointed. The beds and furniture were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. The little snack basket on the counter was a nice touch. The hosts were very responsive. A few safety issues kept this from being a 5 star review. The driveway in and out of the property is a real nail-biter. The mirrors don't really help as the brush on either side of the road is so dense that you can't really see what's coming as you exit. We had a few close calls. The exterior garage bay door had no lock. We pulled our car up right against it each night; was a little unnerving thinking there was possible access to the house from that point with no way to "lock" it. I realize this might not be an issue for some, but as it was just my daughter and I in the house it was a bit uncomfortable.

Thank you, Shannon. We're so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. While we do leave the garage bay door unlocked to provide guests access to the garbage/ recycle cans, please be assured that there are two locked doors to prevent access to the interior of the home from there. Additionally, we've since had the Town cut back the vegetation growing near the road to improve driver visibility. Our guest's safety and experience are of the utmost importance to us, and we truly appreciate your feedback.
