Amazing Rustic Cabin Escape

Thank you for choosing our cabin for your Thanksgiving getaway! I’m so glad to hear the views, location, and amenities made your stay enjoyable. It really means a lot to us. We’d love to welcome you back anytime you’re planning another trip to the NC mountains.

So glad you enjoyed your stay. I hope to welcome you back the next time you visit the area.

So glad you enjoyed your stay....even more improvements for guests to enjoy will be done this coming week....(new matresses for the bunk beds, even more USB electrical outlets to make it convienient for guests to charge electronics, maybe even "top" a few additional trees to open up the views even more....and who knows what other projects we may take on during this "working" vacation..). If you have any other improvements...you would like to see made before your next stay.....please let me know. I'm always looking for ways to make my guest's time at the cabin even more enjoyable!!!

So glad to have provided such a great first VRBO experience!

I'm so glad you all enjoyed your stay. Now that the Wilkesboro Speedway renovations are to the point that they are hosting races again, I hope to welcome you back again soon.

Your review maybe be short, but says it all!

Every season in the mountains brings its own unique and beautiful experience….I look forward to welcoming you all back soon. It’s nice to hear the cabin was everything you expected and more!

I'm always delighted to hear much other enjoy the cabin. I have some little additions I hope to be making at Christmas....two benches that when put togather will form a picnic table for the deck and replace the deck fire pit with a lower firepit/grill combination....being I have had awesome renters this year. who have respected the property, I can continue to make improvements for all to enjoy (rather than repairs of damage ) . I hope to welcome you and your family back soon so you can enjoy the enhancements!

It’s wonderful to hear you enjoyed the cabin and much of what the community and surrounding area has to offer. I hope to welcome you back soon, as every season makes a stay at the cabin unique and beautiful.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful review! I’m really glad you felt at home and enjoyed the peaceful setting—those views from the deck really are something special. It makes me happy to hear you made the most of the little things like morning coffee out there. You’re welcome back anytime!

Glad you enjoyed the cabin and its views. Each season brings its own unique beauty that can be fully enjoyed at the cabin. Like you mentioned, 20 minutes from town and not much farther to Appalachian, Sugar and Beech Mountain, if you visit during the winter months and want to ski, snow board, tube or ice skate. I hope to welcome you back soon!

Thank you for the review. They really help others decided it my little cabin On the ridge in Buck Mountain is the place for their getaway. I try to ensure all of the comforts of home (and more) are there; I don’t want to be the typical barren vacation rental. Hope to welcome you back soon!

I love when people ask "how close are your neighbors" as the are looking for a private getaway. Although there is a cabin 1/2 acre away, it isn't occupied year around, as many of the cabins in the community are second/vacation homes. In addition to the cabin sitting high up the mountain in the Buck Mountain Community (1 mile from the top end of the road ). There isn't a lot of traffic even on holiday weekends. Sometimes only the 1 or two cars a day will be heard , often not seen, pass by. Hope you have you all return soon. I'm glad you enjoyed all the cabin and the area has to offer.

Thank you for your kind words! We’re so glad you enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and breathtaking views. We hope to welcome you back for another relaxing stay in the future!

I’m glad your get-a-way to the mountains and stay at the cabin was so enjoyable. My cabin caretaker takes pride in keeping the cabin clean and comfortable for guests. I will be sure to pass along the compliment. Can’t wait to welcome you back soon, the upcoming Fall season foliage change, is breath taking from the deck.

Thank you for the kind words. My local caretaker deserves more credit for being a great “host” than I do...and yes Buck Mountain has a lot of young wildlife throughout the community in the spring . This year there has been a Doe and her twin fawns that seem to like passing by front of the cabin in the late afternoon and evening I’m not sure if that is the deer family you saw or one of the many others ...The wildlife and the cabin’s deck view make the 6 mile drive up the mountain to the cabin worth it.. I’m glad your family had a chance to enjoy some of what the area has to offer and your vacation was an enjoyable get away.

Thank you for your review. I'm sure it will be helpful to others considering to stay at the cabin. I try to do my best keeping guests informed and their questions addressed before and during their stay, as I know how precious relaxing vacations are. I don't want my guest to have a worry while in my home.
