Lovely little base camp for going to Acadia. Extremely close to jordan pond. Staircase is a bit steep, and some of rooms get much more of the heat than others. Complete kitchen with plenty of the necessary tools

Fantastic location to easily get into Acadia. Very rustic and ample kitchen to make meals. Very clean. Bathroom shower walls need to be updated/fixed. Visual not the best but clean and very usable. Was very nice to have a washer and dryer available.

This house had everything we needed. Our group was our family, 2 adults and a 4 year old. Another couple joined us. The location was excellent for going to Arcadia National Park. We were able to ride our bikes from the house to the park and enjoy some popovers at the Jordan pond house. We also went doen to the beach in Seal Harbor. Host was very responsive when we beedwd fir supplies for the house.

Great location for biking carriage roads! Odd smell and poor lighting kept us out of the living room. Beds were ok and each had a way to keep cool. Could use better dressers, matching glasses, but the location was great. Nice washer and dryer.

Loved the stay!

It's a nice cozy home in the heart of Acadia. It wasn't far from any of the destinations we picked out, and despite being well below freezing the house had no issue staying warm. 100% would book this property again!

Great, quiet location!!!

Very close to park and activities. 15 minutes to Bar Harbor, 25 minutes to Southwest Harbor. Would highly recommend!!

This property was in a great location to all that we wanted to do. It was clean and plenty room for 4 people. The stairs going up to bedrooms were pretty steep coming down at night to go to the bathroom late at night but they were doable. We enjoyed our stay.

We loved the location of this charming cabin. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well equipped. Some of the amenities could have been upgraded (bath towels) and the inside lighting could be better. We enjoyed the outside seating area. Great location as a base for hiking in Acadia!

Quiet residential area

Lovely stay on a quiet street on the south side of Mount Desert island with a short, easy bike ride to Jordan Pond and the Carriage Roads. Stay here, and you can be opposite in rythym to the Bar Harbor crowds starting their day on the opposite side of the park. Option to catch the free, convenient park shuttle at Jordan Pond to get around.

Super location

Great location minutes from Acadia and Jordan Pond House on a quiet street. It’s a friendly, comfortable house. Well-equipped kitchen. With all bedrooms on upper floors and one bathroom on the lower floor, it’s worth noting the stairs are narrow and steep-ish, so not the best for people with mobility issues.

Great house needs updating

Overall, great experience. Host was great. House is in a great area. Easy to find, parking is perfect, quiet neighborhood. The house obviously needs updating. Every room feels like Grandma's house (there's good and bad to that). The stairs down could be treacherous in the middle of the night (no bathroom on bedroom floor).

Good location/Dated property

This house has a great location close to Acadia Park. It has good bones but is very dated. Unfortunately, there is only AC in the bedrooms and most windows in the house do not have screens so you can’t get airflow without bugs invading the house, making for a very stuffy environment. The house was clean but not incredibly comfortable. That said, the location helped as we spent most of our time outdoors in the amazing park.

This is the best location in Acadia. Away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. Great local neighborhood restaurant called the Lighthouse. Acadia Outdoor Center is a half a mile walk down the hill where you can rent ebikes, get hiking gear and snacks, or get a blueberry latte and delicious gelato. The house was great for our family of 5. It is an old, charming 1940s era bungalow. All the bedrooms are upstairs and the one bath is down. The stairs are quite steep with narrow planks. The washer and dryer are in the basement which has a very low head clearance (I'm 6'3") and is not the most inviting space in the house. However, the newer and very large capacity washer and dryer are great and a very nice amenity. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need including a coffee maker that does k-cups (bring your own) and traditional brew (Filters and coffee provided). The dining room table was perfect with seating for six and the two living rooms were perfect. One for TV and one for reading/relaxing. Plenty of parking for two or three cars in the driveway and a nice deck out back for grilling. The does have AC upstairs. There are window units in two rooms an upright unit in the other. They are a little loud...We ebiked for three days and it was awesome to be a mile and a half from Jordan Pond House and the carriage roads. Our host was great and was very prompt with communication. Highly recommend this spot. It's an incredible value, truly a hidden gem!
