About this property

Kineo Cabin on Moosehead Lake

🏡 About the Cabin

Kineo Cabin is a hand-built, rustic lakeside escape tucked deep within the pines on 100 acres overlooking Moosehead Lake. This cozy retreat blends old-school cabin charm with peaceful lake and mountain views—perfect for guests who want an authentic Maine wilderness experience.

Crafted from natural wood and stone, the cabin offers a warm, lived-in atmosphere: the scent of pine, the crackle of a wood stove, and the quiet of the forest all around you. It’s simple, comfortable, and intentionally unpolished—ideal for couples, small families, outdoor lovers, and anyone craving a slow-paced getaway.

Step onto the private deck with your morning coffee, wander the network of on-property hiking trails, or follow the rugged path down to the lake where a dock and kayaks await. In winter, ride straight from the cabin onto the snowmobile trails—no trailering required.

After a day of exploring, unwind in the whirlpool tub or settle by the fire while the sun sets over the lake. This is the timeless Maine cabin escape guests return for.

Loved the cabin and location! The view was perfect and so enjoyed sitting out on the deck enjoying time away! Beds very comfortable and clean! However the two couches in the cabin were quite stained and unattractive. Rest of the furnishings were great! Also no wood for wood stove in cabin or any bundles on premises.
View from our deck!

Family Vacation

Very quiet area. We had the property to ourselves for a few days. Convenient to town and other areas. Beautiful trail down to the lake but a heck of a climb back up. Nice areas to sit below the cabins and at the dock. It would have been great to have a couple more chairs on the deck. We had an enjoyable stay.
