lovely, quiet, secluded home away from home

We enjoyed our stay very much. The home is charming, quiet, a true vacation away from it all. Beautiful surroundings. The home was clean and well-appointed, and the check-in and check-out was convenient. We hope to be back again soon.

One of the best VRBO

This was one of the best VRBO rentals we have ever stayed out! It was very clean. We loved the quiet location and access to a private beach. One of the favorite things about our trip was walking to the private beach through the woods. It was so peaceful to walk along the beach, look for rocks, and run into some locals. The manager was so quick to respond to anything we had questions or concerns about. Highly recommend staying here! You will not regret it!

About the host

This home sits on 150 acres of private Maine wilderness that has been in our family for four generations. For us, this land is a sanctuary of quiet and safety. We love living here because we get the best of both worlds: the majestic beauty of Acadia is just a drive away, but our corner of the Newbury Neck Peninsula allows us to escape the crowds and return to the peace of the woods. We’ve kept the space clean, modern, and open so that other families and friends can create their own Maine memories here, just as our family has for decades.

Why they chose this property

family-owned land means no noise, no traffic—just stars and wildlife.
