We enjoyed a wonderful family reunion on Pleasant Island! The a/c in each of the comfortable bedrooms was appreciated. The grounds had plenty of seating for various gatherings. The two sandy beaches provided lots is swimming opportunities. We all had a great time!

Beautiful location, but very rustic

Pleasant Island is a beautiful location on a beautiful lake. It is peaceful and because of the rustic accommodations guests will feel like they are living in nature. While usually enjoyable, during our stay this included countless spiders, insects and rodents in the house that challenged our ability to relax and truly enjoy the vacation. Perhaps a more intensive cleaning effort to keep nature at bay would improve the experience.

I'm very sorry that our guest didn't alert us to these issues. We are very responsive to our renters needs and would have immediately done our best to alleviate any problems. We have never had any guests inform us of these problems before as we maintain the property to a very high standard, so all our guests can have the best experience possible. We do understand that being a beautiful island with lush landscaping, that mother nature may intervene at times. I hope in the future that any of our guests would let us know should any problems ever arise. Thank you.

Perfect For A Large Family

Pleasant Island was great for our large extended family vacation. The rooms are private and the two bunk house provide an additional layer of privacy. The island was perfect size for exploring the various rocky beaches and blueberry plants. The one thing to be aware of is that it's a rocky island, which was a bit tricky with little children, but overall it was a great camp experience and we will certainly return.

Family Escape

We found the island a perfect place for our two families to relax and connect all over again. Being off the mainland just a slight bit adds a certain type of feeling we all enjoy.This getaway is something we all look forward to every and can hardly wait to secure this same location for next year.

Loved our island vacation!

First time trying island living, and couldn't have picked a better spot. The weather was perfect, honeymoon cabin adorable, and we had the island to ourselves. The dogs loved it too. Jan and Dave were very responsive to any issues that arose. Great time.
