House was fantastic, great kitchen, very spacious living area. If this is all you need it is a fantastic place. We wanted easy access to the water from dock, sit around, jump in and out of water.Boat slip was ok for our boat.Deck was full of sap which got all over our feet, chairs had sap on them and we had to be careful of our clothes. Boat dock was difficult to use, many raised nails, deck was uneven, you could easily trip, 3" difference in height in one area and moved when stepped on. There was no ladder to get out of the water from the dock. Some boards were rotted and some new boards not fasten down. Steven was responsive to all questions,

Hi Steve thanks for review, I had spnt $11000 for left side facing lake, right side $7500 they said was enough setting in two pilings replacing badly rotted boards. They were out they replaced a beam on right finger that had cracked jacled up and replacred beam. so all set

The Chestnut Cove Cottage is in a fabulous location with a gorgeous view of the lake. The cove is beautiful and peaceful. The dock allows for jumping into swimmable water. There is a small sandy spit to walk into the water, very suitable for the young and fit middle aged.The house is spacious with a large sitting room with a wide screen TV. The home is rustic with old furniture inside and out. The AC worked well for us. Steven, the host responded readily to our questions. Our family enjoyed the lakeside cottage.

Great rustic house with a multi-level deck and stairs to the lake path. Multiple bedrooms that are very comfortable, plus a second floor bedroom and office with an outstanding lake view! Kitchen has all kinds of appliances, a hot water dispenser and sink, and plenty of plateware, silverware, and assorted cooking utensils. Dining room has a great view of the lake, which is clear as a bell. I'd have no problem staying there again!
