Great location, wonderful hosts, just not an overly accurate description of facilities. The bathhouse is literally a large outhouse with outhouse showers. Over all very comfortable and will stay again more prepared for camping.
We stayed at the A-frame cabin. The cabin interiour ist quite nice and well equipped, however you should be aware it is very tiny. The bathroom/outhouse is approx. 30m away and equipped quite rudimentary. Activities require some driving. In extended periods of rain that should be considered. The place ist still developping (new Houses being built) and could develop nicely. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Our stay at the Hideaway Wood Cabin at Buckridge Mountain Resort was nothing short of amazing! The cabin is beautifully designed, offering the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. The woodwork throughout creates a warm and cozy atmosphere, making it feel like a true mountain retreat. The location is peaceful and secluded, yet close enough to hiking trails and scenic spots. Waking up to breathtaking mountain views and enjoying a cup of coffee on the deck was an absolute highlight. The interior was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully furnished, with a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bedding, and a charming fireplace that added to the ambiance. The small; kitchenette could use plastic plates and utensils. It was my first time using outhouse so not sure if it was great but I had a hard time flushing things down the toilet. The host was friendly and accommodating, ensuring we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Whether you're looking to unwind in nature, explore the outdoors, or simply escape the hustle and bustle, this cabin is the perfect spot.We can't wait to come back—highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful mountain getaway!

About the host
Hosted by Kathi Anderson-Moore
Born in Miami, Florida and growing up a true Florida Native, Kathi decided the heat and traffic and congestion were enough and found this property in the middle of nowhere and decided this was it! Now Kathi goes back and forth from her Florida house to her Tennessee Cabins when she needs a break from the madness. "I started with one cabin at the top (mine) and then just couldn't stop adding as themes and money became available. I wanted some place anyone could enjoy and something I could leave for my kids and grandkids. Now with the addition of my chickens and goats and garden it's harder and harder to leave there"
What makes this property unique
This property is so different than most. It's like a family compound we can share with our guests. The water comes from the top of the mountain and it's pure and cold and fresh! The cabins are all so different and unique and we just enjoy our guests and love seeing our guests enjoy it as much as we do.
