Casa Caracol A - Walk to the Beach, WiFi

This charming 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom multilevel home is the perfect family rental that will leave both, the kids and the adults happy. This unit is one of three in the building. The home has a large flat screen TV in the living area, a fully equipped kitchen and bedrooms with very comfortable mattresses. A King size bed in the Master Bedroom and two Queen size beds in Bedroom #2. All bedrooms have ceiling fans and there is a washer and dryer vertical center conveniently located in the home. The Master bedroom has French door openings to the balcony overlooking the back patio and swimming pool area. Other amenities include WiFi throughout the property. Parking on the driveway for two vehicles (one behind the other one).

There are patio chairs in both, the back balcony and in the pool area. There is also a portable charcoal grill, and a round concrete table and benches, with a beach umbrella to enjoy an outdoor BBQ with a cold beverage.

The wonderful SPI beach is only a short walk away. It is about one block from the public beach access. The property is just a few steps away from Padre Boulevard, and within walking distance to several very good, such as PadreRita Grill and Black Beards, two of my favorites!

Enjoy the vast cuisine selection in SPI, or cook your own meals. The kitchen has most of the basics, but if you like to cook, please bring your favorite spices. Bath towels and one set of linens per bed are provided. You also get a startup-kit with some essentials, but we recommend you bring beach gear, including towels, additional everyday supplies and personal toiletries!

House-trained pets allowed through a small pet fee.(2 max) usually $59 per pet. If not included in the original quote, it may be charged after reservation is booked. Notes:

A lovely mini vacay at Casa Caracol!

A wonderful getaway place with an open space and high ceilings. Our neighbors were kind and friendly our over all experience was a great one. This cute place is located in a great area close to restaurants and walking distance to the beach. We really enjoyed our night walks to the beach and the serenity of the pool area. We loved our stay and appreciate the communication with Mr. Comisarenco. I recommend this nice cute place.

It is a great condo within walking distance to the beach.

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. If you are an elderly person keep in mind there are a lot of stairs. Our teenagers enjoyed having the upstairs to themselves and swimming in the pool daily. Roberto was very helpful and responded fast to one of our concerns. Overall a great experience and we will stay at one of his properties the next time we are on the island.

Great property and pool!

The unit itself is very nice. Clean, up to date, spacious and welcoming. We particularly enjoyed having pool access, as it seems the other renters didn't have much interest in it so we got it mostly to ourselves! The pool itself was refreshing and clean, and the patio area was lovely for lounging. The utensils in the kitchen were sufficient, but I don't expect it to be as fully stocked as my own home, it is a short term rental after all. LOVED that we had our own laundry units and didn't have to share with others. The wifi was spotty at best, but the instructions to log in acknowledged that. Often it was better to just use our own cellular connections. Not a deal-breaker necessarily, but the driveway is STEEP. We parked 2 vehicles in it and it really put our brakes to the test. Fortunately there is an open field behind the property if one of them happened to roll backwards because apparently towing for street parking is strictly enforced or we would have probably just parked on the street. That field also came in handy for our dogs so you don't have to walk too far to find a place for them to relieve themselves. Overall, it was a great property and we would stay again!

All the Comforts of Home

We had a great trip to SPI over Labor Day weekend and couldn't thank Roberto enough for his hospitality! The condo was just as described and great for our large family. We had all the comforts of home with a well-designed layout and the perfect location to match. The kitchen was well-appointed and the open spaces were nice enough to not feel over crowded. The outdoor access to the pool was a nice surprise! It was wonderful to have a semi-private pool where we could relax after a long day exploring the island. This condo is very well situated off the strip and easy walking distance to Blackbeard's. It was also just a few blocks to Louie's Backyard and Clayton's. We will definitely be back and rent from Roberto in the future!

Roberto and Sylvia (owners) are very nice people that take pride in providing a comfortable environment in their properties. We enjoyed our 14 day getaway in Unit A. The pool was always clean and a dip to end the evenings was wonderful. Try out the tidal wave and pizza at South Padre Brewery (within walking distance). Wanna Wannas, Senor Donkey, Feldman's, and other restaurants in biking distance to the property. Our family truly enjoyed our stay!

Clean and spacious, but hazards for small children and the elderly.

Pros: The property was clean and very spacious. Centrally located, but closer to the main drag rather then the beach road. Provided dish soap, dish towels and sponge for cleaning. All appliances worked. Quick response and communication with owner. Was warned a day before toilet paper and paper towels where not to be supplied, so I was able to bring these items from home. (One roll of each was provided to start.) Reasonable price for what you get. Cons: The stairs to the second story bedroom are very dangerous especially for small children and the elder, which we had both in our group. I can't imagine they are up to code, the treads are very narrow and steep, the tile makes them even more dangerous. They only provided (1) towel per guest, so we were washing towels every day...not something I wanted to do on my vacation and I can't image good for their water bill. The main bathroom had a Jacuzzi size bath tub making it very difficult for my grandmother to get in and out of the tub. It was also very slippery, I had to use a towel inside the tub so that my grandmother would not slip...eventually buying a rubber mat. The property is a triplex, I only mention this because from the pictures and listings it only looks like a duplex. The guests we encountered where not very nice, luckily only the first floor unit was occupied so we had a little more privacy. Although, I would have not wanted to be on the first floor, entrance is from the backyard/pool and I bet the floors are very thin because we were able to hear everything from the second story of our unit...maybe that's why they weren't very nice? I am grateful that they allowed dogs, but no where in the initial listing did it say animals could not be around the pool deck or go in the pool. Slight inconvenience because she likes to be around us all the time. Thankfully, the property is across a large empty piece of property that I was able to walk her around. These are not major issues but things I would have liked to have known before booking this property. If I was to return to this property is would not be with small children or elderly.

Since I have unsuccessfully being able to reach you in order to discuss your concerns, please allow me to clarify and respond here instead. ---------- It is very important to mention that the property has a maximum occupancy of 6 guests including adults and children of any age. Exceeding this maximum guest capacity has and will put a strain in the infrastructure, amenities and provided supplies. ------------ And I hope I am not misleading anyone into thinking the property has features for people with special needs. This is clearly indicated in our ad. ------------ - +++++ This condo is one of three in a building located one block from the beach. This is noted in our ad and on our website. Units A (this unit) and B are multilevel and unit C is on the ground floor. - +++++ All the stairs in the building are to code. Obtaining the appropriate permits for the property would have not been possible otherwise. - +++++ The tub in the bathroom is a garden tub and not a Jacuzzi, and sufficiently large and comfortable for most guests. - +++++ Each bathroom is supplied with a start-up kit consisting of three toilet paper rolls and hand soap. For short-term stays, bath towels are supplied at a rate of 2 per guest and there is a washer and dryer combo strategically located in the unit. Laundry detergent is also supplied in quantities enough to wash 8-10 loads. - +++++ This is a pet-friendly building and approved pets are allowed on the pool deck but not in the swimming pool. This place was absolutely amazing!!! I brought my daughter and her friend for a surprise 16th bday....SO FUN!! SO clean with a pool in the back. I looked for days before booking and I hit the jack pot!! Close to the beach and restaurants. (The Palm resort was our favorite- 2 minute walk). I was fortunate to meet the owner and he is wonderful and willing to do anything to help... Even though it wasn't needed. Definitely 5 stars and can't wait to come back!!!!

Awesome condo, great location and pool

My family of 6 rented this condo for 4 nights. It was everything we hoped for. The location was amazing. Short walk to the beach and near plenty of restaurants. At night we were able to see the fireworks from Louie's backyard. My husband enjoyed the fact that the master bedroom was downstairs and the kids slept upstairs because we had a little extra privacy. Bedrooms were spacious and each had their own bathroom. The pool area was nice and great for relaxing after a long day at the beach. The only downside were the stairs for my elderly mother, but they weren't a problem for us or the children. Overall, awesome experience and Roberto was very friendly and accommodating. Definitely will be back!

Great location on the island

This was the perfect location for us. Its a quiet street across from the SPI water tower. The beach access is a short walk down the street. The town home was large enough for all the stuff that accompnies you to and from the beach. The water hose for clean up is extremely accessible. The place was clean and cold. The washer and dryer work as intended. Code entry-- the fact that we didn't have to worry about keys was THE best. The kitchen has the things you need for cooking. The beds were comfortable as well. The pool was fantastic. We will be staying again!

1. The listing description is accurate, regarding the location, layout, amenities, and it is actually larger than we expected. 2. The property is overall clean, and there are extra trash bags for us to use. 3. There are many wifi hotspots around the property, but we find them not stable. 4. We really hope there be a dish washer!

Beautiful and Relaxing!

My family of 6 stayed in this beautiful condo for 5 nights. We were all impressed and comfortable in this clean, comfy condo! The older kids loved how close we were to the beach and enjoyed swimming in the pool. Not to mention, we were all able to watch the fireworks from the condo. Roberto was very attentive and extremely generous. We are already planning to rent from him again next year!!!

Great place to stay!!

Great place to stay for a family of up to 6 people. The property has a split floor plan with the master bedroom down stairs and a separate bedroom upstairs. Really enjoyed having a kitchen with all the necessities to cook instead of going out to eat 3 times a day. The property also has a balcony in the pool area where you can relax. Great place to sit and drink your morning coffee. Will definitely return to this property!

Very Spacious Condo

We had a great time in SPI. The owner Roberto was very attentative and responsive to any concerns/questions we had about the condo. The pictures displayed do not show how spacious this condo really is. The master bedroom had a king size bed and there was still a lot of room for our stuff. Bathrooms are kept nice and clean. There’s a nice patio outside from the master bedroom that over looks the pool. We enjoyed having the option of spending the day at the pool away from the daily beach scene and sand. Outside grounds are kept well maintained and clean as well. There were no loud noises coming from other backyards. Condo is also very convienantly located to nearby stores for ice/drinks/food/shoppingand tourist attractions. Only regrets is not staying longer. We’ll be back and stay here again.

Gorgeous property, even nicer in person.

Great property, the pictures don't do it justice! Owner was a great renter to rent from! I really recommend to rent from him! Would definitely rent again! The condo was in perfect condition and very clean.
