My stay in Flagler
The location was great, inside was clean. Had some problems with the tv remote not functioning and the only frying pan is totally warped which made it difficult to cook anything in it. I really enjoyed my stay there but I would suggest having some proper yard maintenance done.

Thank you so much for your review. I’m glad you enjoyed your stay.
We will immediately replace the frying pan and will add any other needed pots or pans.
In reference to the yard, its kept as a natural beach habitat home to at least one gopher tortoise, an endangered species, that we as a community try to protect.
Thanks again!

Great location, the property was clean, amazing host, easy to communicate with him! Would rent again if we happen to go back to Floride. The only thing on the downside is the apartment is a bit old but we didn't mind at all.
Girlfriend and I stayed here with our 2 dogs. The time was great. It was a little confusing to find as we circled around it a few times befor finding the right location. Many places within walking distance. The walk to the beach was only across the street. And mostly anything we needed was still within Flagler beach.
Our second stay here. The unit is perfect: full kitchen, 2 shady outdoor areas, view of the ocean, short walk to the beautiful, quiet beach, dog friendly accommodations, a small fenced in area to keep dogs safe and dogs allowed on the beach😍 The hosts were great! Good communication. See you again soon Bajos😘

Peaceful, Lovely, and Romantic!
We rented this unit to celebrate our 10th Anniversary. The apartment had everything we needed for a home away from home. The place provides a lot of privacy and a great porch to enjoy the view of the ocean. We had a blast!
Thanks

Had a most relaxing experience here. The location for beach access could not have been better. This is a beautiful stretch of natural and unspoiled beach. Flagler Beach itself is a charming little town. The beachy little cottage was nothing fancy but had a relaxing vibe and was quite cozy for just us and our fur baby. The host was very responsive and helpful. We highly recommend this property for a short stay.
We actually ended up at the oleander cottage in the downtown area due to beach access issue. The owner solved our issue and was fast to make things right. Great location, walking distance to everything you could need. Wonderful ocean breezes in the evening in your own private courtyard to relax in. Will be going back for sure. Owners were amazing!
The property was very accommodating and the location was great. Quiet and private, but just a minute away from all the activity/restaurants/shops in Flagler Beach. The only downside is that, due to recent bad weather, all the beach access points near our location had been closed off/shut down. This was only a minor inconvenience as the beach is accessible by driving just a few minutes either north (into town) or south (away from town). All the people are friendly and pleasant. The property owner made sure we had everything we needed for a memorable stay.

Pros n Cons
Pros: nice location, didn't lose electricity had high winds, stove/oven worked good, heat worked well
Cons: cockroaches - in the kitchen especially on the wall facing the ocean, ants everywhere except the bedroom, my husband thinks there is water leaking into the kitchen wall facing the ocean the shelfs on that wall shelfs were totally wet lined with newspaper. Front yard and side yard were totally overgrown blocked the view to the ocean. Needs to be trimmed. Broken tiles on the front area could be a hazard for people with mobility issues. Not disabled residency with people with disabilities. Could be a nice place if some work and garden trimming was done.

Thank you for your feedback. It appears that there may have been an undetected leak from the hurricane. I always send guests a welcome message upon arrival inviting them to contact me immediately if they have any concerns. I’m sorry I didn’t hear of your concerns until reading your review. We have blocked this unit for the following week, and we have a maintenance crew assessing and making any neeed repairs. The satisfaction and enjoyment of our guests is our first priority.
Thanks again.
Comfortable, quiet, clean with perfect fenced in area for our 100 lb. dog to explore and chase lizards 😊
We are beyond thrilled that we found this cute house with a fully stocked kitchen, ocean view, and shady areas for us and our pup 😍
Many thanks to the owners for keeping this vintage house in such great condition and for allowing pets❣️
Very clean one bedroom located across the street from the ocean. Had a very nice surprise welcome that was greatly appreciated. A nice touch. There were two lounge chairs on the deck leading to the beach that were not hot even in the hit sun. Accessories were generous. Close to restaurants and shopping.
I had a lovely stay at Flagler Beach! The property was steps away from the water which is exactly what I was looking for! Andrés was incredibly helpful throughout my stay and very responsive when I had questions. Thank you!

No ocean view from patio
The photos posted on the web site by the owner show a much different “front yard” than the reality. The view from the patio is of overgrown bushes, shrubs, grass and weeds
If you're looking for a quiet, peaceful retreat this little cottage gives you the feeling of seclusion yet minutes from all the convenience's you want. Steps to the beautiful beach. Furbaby friendly too. We will be back.
We are so glad to have visited Flagler Beach. Our Bungalow was just right for the two of us, and was right across AIA to the sand and sea. We soaked in the sun, cooked most of our meals there and had some party time at Tortugas on our last night. We would definately return in the future. Thank you Andres for your quick action on our arrival, and for your quick responses to our concerns.
Nice overall. Loved the location. I only do the beach in the mornings and early eves to avoid sun so it was great to have a porch to sit on and read in between while listening to the waves. Only thing I'd recommend is getting a larger kitchen and bathroom wastebasket and leaving a couple liners for each. I brought extra stuff with me but for the price that's really basic that should be covered. Those were tiny trash cans and with me cooking I constantly had to replace liners in 4 days. Overall old school Florida - nothing fancy but basically nice and clean which is the main thing. Owners were easy to interact with. ISome broken tile around the porch that needed replaced or reglued. Slipped on that several times. Nice people. Thanks!
Quaint and cute but could use a good deep cleaning especially on the walls . Construction was being done right beside and in front so that was frustrating but no fault to the owner on that one. "Dog enclosure " was kind of a joke. Owner was friendly and helpful and overall enjoyed our stay. A little over priced in my opinion.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The owner was wonderful and responded very quickly when we had a question. It was a perfectly sized place for the two of us and the view from the living room/kitchen was beautiful.

My partner and I bought this property in 1998 with the intention of retiring here some day. We completely restructured and remodeled it. This duplex has been listed with this website since 2001. At the time we purchased this property we lived and worked in Gainesville, home of the University of Florida, only a one and a half hour away. For several years we spent most of our weekends here. Now, we live and work in Miami, and come here at least once or twice a month for several days. We also own five other vacation rental units in Flagler Beach. We have local caretakers that keep up with constant maintenance and improvements.
Why they chose this property
We have come to Flagler Beach since the early eighties. We love the quaint and tranquil environment, without franchises, or high-rise buildings. This is a wonderful beach community with the flavor of old Florida beaches, unrushed, friendly, and the beach is never crowded. Often you can look in both directions while sitting on the sand, and see no one, or one or two people in the distance. On weekend, a few more people show up. Almost everything is walking distance, if you like to walk, or a very short driving distance with ample parking everywhere. This cozy duplex across the beach on A1A has full view of the ocean. Each apartment (Casa Altos or Casa Bajos) is fully furnished and has one bedroom, bathroom, living area, full kitchen, microwave, cable TV, and central heating and air. Each unit is simply but tastefully decorated to accommodate Florida vacationing at its best. Enjoy the ocean breeze from the living room or bedroom. Watch for dolphins while preparing meals or your favorite drink. In winter, Right whales have been spotted from this location. During Spring and Summer the birds and vegetation are wonderful. This is an idyllic place for a weekend, a week, or a longer stay. It's also a great place to work from home. We are located only a few blocks south of the Flagler Beach Pier and close to shops and restaurants. This is a non-smoking unit.
What makes this property unique
The most attractive aspect of Flagler Beach is its peacefulness and small beach community charm. There are no franchises on the beach, nor high rises. There are several small local restaurants and cafes with excellent food, a couple of galleries, some nice bars, and a friendly neighborhood. Marineland is 10 minutes north, and Daytona Beach is 20 minutes south. Historic St. Augustine is a half-hour drive away, and Orlando and Disney are within an hour's drive. Major airports are within an hour and a half drive. The sunrises are fabulous all year-round. Sit and relax on the porch, or take a chair to the beach. The beach walkover is across the street. The ocean water temperature is cool this time of the year, and the sun is bright and warm. At night sit and contemplate the constellations and the planets from anywhere, the patio, the beach, or walking around the neighborhood! This is an ideal place for moon lovers, and star gazers. Fish from the beach, or from the nearby pier. Bring your own bicycle and enjoy riding around this small community! From this property you can watch the ocean all the time. During the winter months Right Whales may show up, and dolphins are visible year round. There are also at least two gopher tortoises calling our front yard their home. These are protected species and if you don't get too close they will move around while feeding on the vegetation without much concern.
