About this property

This Is A Highly Rated And Popular Vacation Resort. Negotiable rates on Winter!

We have 2BR , 2B condo directly accross from the beach. It has 4 swimming pools,putt putt-golf shuffleboard,,2 tennis courts,pool tables,internet access,gated entrances,night security. We have a private porch with table and chairs. The back entrance goes to HWY98 which gives you quick access to all of Panama city. The unit can sleep 8 people. It has a large washer and dryer. Just painted,new carpet.It has 2 refrigerators and dish washer golf


For guest who wants winter rental the price is negotiable the booking must be for a month and more

Please note that only long term rentals (more than 60 nights) are allowed to bring pets , short time rentals are not allowed to bring pets , this rule decided by Horizon South resort not the property owner .

4th of July Weekend

We stayed over the 4th of July Weekend. We really enjoyed our stay. The condo is nice and comfortable. It was nice having 2 bathroom since we have teenagers. We liked the amenities, pools and Beach access. Overall great experience!

Lovely community

The privacy and security of the community made staying feel very relaxing. The condo was wonderful. Perfect for my husband and myself and our pets. Love the private entry. Quiet! Had everything we needed.

Perfect stay for 2-4 people!

It was just my wife and me as well as our chihuahua. The property is relatively close to beach, you can walk or park close enough to walk across the street. The facility has three, very clean pools to use. Very quiet community and our vacation was very relaxing. Look forward to our next stay. P and D Points

What a memorable vacation!

We absolutely adored our stay! It was perfect! The home was very clean, didn’t stink, and cozy! However I think toilet paper should be provided. And checking in, we were told we needed to have a $20 wrist band, and a $25 parking pass for your vehicle to be in the resort. The listing never said anything about the wrist band or parking pass, per the resort

Great trip

We gad a great time and the property was exactly as described! We enjoyed the pools and overall location of the property. The only thing I didn't like was that we had to pay to use the swimming pools ($20 per person for the duration of your stay), although the property is advertised with 3 swimming pools; thats the management company though, not the owner. We would rent here again. We loved the primacy and easy accessibility, parking was directly infront of our rental, kitchen came with everything we needed too! It was a great experience!

Not what was advertised

Property was dirty at check in, host's response was "maybe they didn't clean it". Was not told we would have to pay 85 to park. Outlets in bathroom did not work. Upstairs bathroom was unusuable for 6 of our 7 days stay due to leaking in the downstairs bathroom. Took two days to get a hold of the owner when we tried to let him know of the leak and condition of the property. Overall very disappointing.

Great time!!

New living room furniture, decent location to pools, playground etc. However it is 11 minute walk to the beach!! We didn't mind it terribly but did purchase a cart to haul the essentials. Only downfall for us would be the bed in the master bedroom, it needs replaced. Frame itself literally wobbles and the top cover in which we didnt use is in desperate need of replacing! Over all we enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Owner was super nice and a phone call away!

Panama City Beach is beautiful

Condo was clean and appropriately a 10 minute walk to the beach. It is very small . Would be best for 2 people. The second bedroom is a balcony open to living space with no privacy. Furniture is not what is showen in the pitures . Overall condo is very dated and in need of renovation. Commication with owner was delayed

Higgonbotham Hideaway

Are stay was great! My kids loved the pools (which are within walking distance), dumpster easily accessible and no odors from it! We were there for softball nationals and the location was 1.5 miles to one set of fields, and 8.5 miles from the other venue we played at👍! Very close to Pier Park and Front Beach road. Stores and gas station are close. The condo really worked out well for our needs!! The only negatives are the interior is slightly outdated and a few paint touch ups. This, DID NOT affect our stay or happiness with what we had. Thank you Mr. Higgonbotham! We will most likely be back next year. 4.8 ⭐️ J. Doyle & Family

It had enough room to fit our 5 kids, but even though it slept 8, it only had 4 wash rags and smelled like dog pee. We literally bought Febreze and sprayed it on day 1. With 7 of us, we had to share a total of 3 toilet paper rolls which were very tiny and did not last. The walk to the beach could not have been any further. Keep looking.

Condo

No AC in Florida not one day we were there. Condo was in bad shape, the 1 TV that was in the place didn't work half the time. It was supposed to be a 2 br 2 bath, it was a 1 br and a loft no door to the second bedroom. The mattress in the master felt like it was 20 yrs old. Patio furniture was unusable due to the chairs being rotted out. No equipment to enjoy the amenities of the resort. Host didn't even know the gate code. Water was dripping in the master closet. We had to sleep with the door open due to no AC. We couldn't get the pool bands until Monday. Supposed to be across from the beach, it was 20 minute walk. Bathroom vent was falling and made a awful sound. We have pics and video if you need it. It did disturb our vacation, and are not happy.

Beach time

We had a fun time at the beach, was a ten min walk to the sand. I now know that I need a better beach cart to haul all of our stuff. The room was clean, the air conditioner worked well and the neighborhood was friendly. But we spent most of our time on the beach.

I am single and currently live in McCalla which is right outside of Birmingham.For the last 4 years, I have taken care of my mother who is 89 yrs. old and has alzheimers. I was in sales and construction before that.I graduated from the University of North Alabama. I then went into sales for several years and then I built houses.I have 2 brothers and we work together managing my parents affairs. I will do everything possible to make your stay a great experience.

Why they chose this property

This property is spread out and has allot of different things to do right on the property. A large percentage of the residents are permanent , so it is a resort complex with a community feel. There are excellent restaurants nearby , but you have easy access to all of Panama city with HWY 98 right at the back entrance. The beach is directly across the front entrance gate.The people here are very friendly and will help you in any way . We have an excellent grounds crew and keep the place perfect.

The beach is a place where you want to enjoy the excitement of being at the beach, but also be able to step back and have the opportunity to relax . this resort community allows you to do both.Please call me if you have any questions.
