My family of 5 and I enjoyed this home & is somewhere we would definitely stay again! The kids loved it & the host was timely with any and all responses. The listing matched everything we experienced. Highly recommend!
The home was exactly as advertised and was perfect for our visit. Everything was clean and in good working order. Our host was in clear contact with us and we had no issues with finding it or getting in. Hopefully we can come back again in the summer to really enjoy the beautiful lake.
The house was very clean and being on the lake made our stay so enjoyable. Kitchen is well-equipped; I appreciated the fresh coffee and special teas. Living room seating is spacious and very comfortable! We enjoyed dining around the large table overlooking the water. The bed (in main bedroom, the only one we used) was very comfortable too!! This was wonderful!! Communication with Josh was exceptional- very prompt and helpful. We look forward to staying here again.
We had an amazing stay in this beautiful lake house. Josh was extremely accommodating and helpful. Thank you so much for allowing us to make these wonderful memories with our family. We may have to make this an annual trip
First time back to lake Pocotopaug in over 60 years. Really enjoyed bringing my wife with me to enjoy what I enjoyed as a child. We intend to return, Josh was an excellent host.
Spent 3 nights at the lake to celebrate my 50th birthday with my husband and dogs. Was very quiet and peaceful. Lots of space to spread out and enjoy. Got to see the lake freeze right in front our eyes. Will definitely be planning to check it out in the summer to enjoy the water.

About the host

I grew up in Connecticut, where I now spend my summers swimming, boating, and fishing in the lake. If you can't find me lakeside, I am in Vermont snowboarding and hiking.
Why they chose this property
Lake Pocotopaug is a real hidden gem in Connecticut. It really is the best of both worlds, providing an awesome lake experience with great restaurants in such close proximity. It is great to see a game or show in Hartford and escape only 25 minutes south to a morning swim. East Hampton has a small town feel with all the amenities you need, whether you want a small town ice cream shop, a unique dining experience, or a beautiful wooded trail; it really has it all.
What makes this property unique
It is rare to find a lake house on Lake Pocotopaug that is westward facing, this means you have uninterrupted sunsets almost every night. The large deck allows you to cook out and enjoy the sun during the day. And inside the master bedroom is absolutely the selling point, waking up to second story lake views is something you only get from a place like this.
