Sierra Solace is a comfortable and relaxing home in the heart of South Lake Tahoe. What makes this large 4 bedroom home so special is that it backs to forested land with a seasonal river just steps beyond the back deck. This home is perfect for the nature enthusiast that still wants to be close to town. Lots of backyard exploring to be had here! Located right off Black Bart you can easily walk or bike to restaurants like Cold Water Brewery or Scusa`s Italian for a delicious meal year round!

There is no street parking allowed at rentals so make sure to park 2 in the garage and 2 on the driveway. • Our home is non-smoking. • Our home is NOT pet friendly. • Quiet hours are observed from 10pm - 8am but elevated noise will not be tolerated at any time. Occupancy is also limited during quiet hours. • Like most homes in Tahoe, our home does not have AC. If coming during July or August, it can get into the high 80s but we do provide fans. • After you book, you will be asked to sign our rental agreement. • We try our best to WOW you and earn your 5-star review so please be gracious when reviewing our home and we will do the same when we review you! :) ♡ Love our home but want to save $? LOCAL VACATION RENTAL LAWS. → Occupancy - We can’t have more people in the home than what we are permitted for. Hot Tub - *If this home has one* The hot tub cannot be used after 10pm. This is VERY strictly enforced. → Quiet Hours - County quiet hours at all rentals are from 10pm - 8am. There cannot be ANY noise after 10pm. → Noise - This home is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood therefore excessive noise is not well tolerated at any time of the day. → Parking - We can only have the number of cars on the property that we are permitted for. Street parking, parking in the front yard or on the dirt is not allowed at rentals. Vehicles will be towed at the vehicle owner’s expense. → Trash - Trash can never be left outside. All trash must be bagged up neatly and placed into the bear box next to the driveway or HOA provided dumpster. If the bear box is full, please contact us for a trash pick up. Failure to properly store trash will result in a $250 clean up fee. → Events - We cannot host weddings, bachelor or bachelorette parties or other large gatherings at our home. ***Failure to abide by the above ordinance will result in an automatic charge of $2,000 to cover fines from the county. Other repercussions could include a citation from local law enforcement and in rare cases, eviction and forfeiture of all monies paid. These are not Summit Tahoe rules, these are laws put forth by the local government that all guests must abide by.
25 YEARS OR OLDER TO RENT. You must be 25 years or older to book and be present at all times. You are responsible for everyone’s actions in your party.
CHECK IN & OUT TIMES. Check in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. Our check in and out times are industry standard times for Vacation Rentals in Tahoe. Early check in’s and late check out’s may be requested. However, if we have guests leaving or arriving on the same day as your request we may not be able to grant an early check in or a late check out.
NON-SMOKING. This home is a very strict non-smoking property, which includes the outside. Evidence of smoking including a smoke smell or cigarette butts on the ground will result in a $250 charge. If someone in your party smokes, please have them do so off the property lines and dispose of their butts appropriately.
DAMAGE. We have a ‘you break, you buy’ policy when it comes to damage. We will do a detailed inspection after you check-out to check for new damage. If you notice damage from a previous guest or if damage occurs during your stay, please report it to us right away. Attempting to conceal or failing to report damage, will automatically result in being charged for the replacement or repair.
HIGH FIRE DANGER. Tahoe is under high fire danger year round. The following actions are strictly forbidden: bonfires, outdoor fires, firepits, charcoal BBQs, fireworks, using the gas BBQ or gas firepit on a red flag day, etc.
UNFORESEEN HOME ISSUES. When renting someone else’s home, issues can arise that are out of our control. We do a detailed inspection before your arrival to ensure it’s clean and all amenities are functioning but despite our best efforts, sometimes things still happen. We ask that you communicate all issues as soon as they happen so we may be given the opportunity to rectify them.
FRAUDULANT CLAIMS. We believe in running an honest business and expect our guests to have the same mentality. Falsifying or embellishing home issues with the intention of receiving money back is something we will not tolerate.
CANCELLATIONS. We adhere to the cancellation policy we have set up on the site you booked through. We also highly recommend that our guests purchase travel insurance. However, we are human too. If you are past your cancellation time frame, please initiate the cancellation process on your end so we can open up the home’s calendar. If the home gets rebooked, we will refund you minus a 3% cancellation fee to cover credit card processing.
SECURITY CAMERAS. Like all vacation rental homes in Tahoe, we have security cameras on the exterior and noise decibel monitoring devices inside. This is to ensure our guests abide by the strict local ordinance. There are never any cameras inside our home.
REFUNDS. Reporting issues to us after you leave does not often result in a refund. We prefer to handle issues while you are here in order to make your stay with us exceptional so please report all issues to us during your stay. We are much more likely to offer a refund on our own terms for failure to resolve issues rather than be asked for money back after you’ve checked out.
SNOW REMOVAL. Summit Tahoe cannot guarantee snow removal services to the roads and driveway will be completed by the county and/or snow removal vendors. Delays during heavy snowfall are to be expected. Snow shovels are provided onsite. Guests are required to carry chains with them to Tahoe per local law.
ICY WALKWAYS. Our walkways in Tahoe are icy so make sure all members of your party have snow boots and walk with care. We do our best to clear snow and add ice melt but despite best efforts our walkways still become icy. We are not liable for any falls or slips on the ice.
PETS. This home is NOT pet friendly. The owners may have a pet allergy so it’s important to respect this rule. We prefer to host service animals at one of our pet friendly homes. We have exterior security cameras so we will know if you disregard this rule. Bringing a pet will result in an automatic charge of $250 per pet and possible eviction.
DRIVE WITH CARE. Our home is located in a residential neighborhood where the speed limit is 25mph. Please drive with care when coming to and from our home.
TOWELS. We supply one bath towel and one wash cloth per occupant. If you feel you will need more please bring more towels with you.
SUPPLIES. Please do not remove any supplies from our home including but not limited to: olive oil, salt, pepper, foil, trash bags, dish pods, toilet paper, etc. Theft is not cool and not something we don’t take lightly. If you are unsure if something is yours, please leave it.
CARPETS. Please remove your shoes inside. You will be responsible for any new carpet stains.
PESTS & RODENTS. Tahoe is home to many pests and rodents including but not limited to mice, rats, squirrels, mosquitos, spiders, moths, bats, etc. When the weather gets too hot or cold they often times prefer to hang out inside so don’t be surprised if you come across them during your stay. We have on-going pest control services but despite best efforts, they sometimes still find a way inside. It doesn’t mean our home is dirty, it’s just a part of being in the mountains.
BEARS. We have California black bears in Tahoe which are attracted to trash and food but will break into your cars for gum, crumbs, empty drinks, etc so make sure to always remove anything even remotely edible, roll up windows and lock car doors. We are not responsible for bear car break ins or resulting damage. Don’t say we didn’t want you.
POWER OUTAGES. Power outages are very common in Tahoe year round but especially during the Winter. If the power goes out, the heat will also go out. We have emergency supplies locked in the linen closet. Message us during an outage for the code.

I loved the house we stayed in. It was beautiful and I loved the space. Each one of my teenagers had their own room with a tv! It was a wonderful experience.
We stayed for 5 nights in early June and everything was great! The place was spacious and comfortable and the cleanest rental I have ever stayed in. Check in was super easy and any questions we had were responded to quickly. We will definitely consider rebooking when in town to visit our daughter and son in law next .
Very comfortable for two families with 4 kids under 12. Fully stocked kitchen, cozy living area, lots of beds. Host responded quickly to questions. Checkout was very easy - didn’t have to strip the beds or wash towels, which we really appreciated.
This place was PERFECT for a long weekend stay for my group of friends. Very clean, accurate to the listing pictures and description, and communication with the hosts was very easy. The neighborhood is quiet and not far from spots of interest. The kitchen was perfectly equipped to cook a variety of foods, and the grill on the outdoor deck came in handy. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay again in a heartbeat.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was absolutely beautiful! It was stocked with everything you would need, tastefully decorated, and squeaky clean throughout! The neighborhood, mixed with nice homes and some very old ones, was quiet and close to everything. We would definitely stay here again! And Nicole and Jagger were pleasant and very responsive (they even checked in with us to see if we needed anything). Great property managers!

We had a mom's getaway and we were so pleased with the home. We had enough towels for all of us and the open concept kitchen to the living room was great since that's where we spent most of the time. There is stairs for those that may have accessibility issue, we had no problem with the stairs. The communication was also amazing when an appliance went out, and the homeowner was willing to fix immediately. Highly recommend and hope to return again.
This house was seriously perfect. I stayed with a group of friends to go skiing and everything was very local. The house had everything we needed! Everything worked perfectly fine and the host responded quickly. The only thing they can improve on is better pillows and also the single bed that’s in the master room could use a better a mattress my friend had to sleep on the couch because it would sink a lot…. Other than that nooo complaints
