Dog friendly near beach home! An approximate 4 minute/ 3 block walk to the beach, this bright and colorful 3 bedroom/ 2 bath house is the perfect fit for two small families or one big one. Enjoy the ease of this surprisingly affordable single level home with an open concept Living Room, Dining Room, and Kitchen. Dog considered for short term rentals with nonrefundable fee of $150 per dog (max two under 75lbs). Please pickup after your dog, and kindly request to keep off furnishings*

Features include: WiFi, Cable TV in Living Room and Master bedroom, screened porch, fence around perimeter of home, and roof-level sun deck.
The large backyard has a charcoal grill, a hot/cold outdoor shower for head and foot rinse off after the beach, and a laundry house complete with washer and dryer.

The house was in a great location and just as described. It is older, but well-kept and clean. The back yard was perfect for our dog. The master bedroom is huge! All the bedrooms were nice. I would stay there again.

Nice place

The house was cute, very clean and dog friendly with fenced yard. The only issue we had was that the grass is the backyard was not cut, it was knee high in some areas which was a bit of an issue with pur dogs, and the outside garbage cans were practically full with the last tenant's garbage. Other than that, great place to stay.

She wasn’t going to give up until it was completed! We also requested the grass to be cut and they came right away and took care of it! I would highly recommend this property and Island Realty!! They were awesome!

IOP and Charleston Getaway

We wanted a dog friendly rental for an extended visit near our college student. The houses location near the beach was fantastic, especially the off leash morning beach walks with lots of new four legged friends. The furniture and beds were comfortable and the cathedral ceiling common area feels large. There was also plenty of private space for some remote work as well. Even board games were being played on the screened porch. Several nearby restaurants on IOP and Sullivans Island exceeded expectations and were super convenient. It’s also just a short drive into downtown CHS. While not directly on the beach, the houses close proximity makes you feel like you are. Even though it’s on the main road, it was very quiet and takes just a minute to get to the side roads. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Close walk to beach with everything we needed

We enjoyed our stay here. The house itself is on the older side, but the decor and cleanliness made it a pleasant stay. It had everything we needed for cooking in the kitchen which was a plus and the couch and seating in living room was comfy to hang out during the evenings. The place smelled like dogs when we first got in but we bought a few candles and air freshener from Harris teeter just up the road and it was fine for the balance of the stay. The comments about the driveway being hard to get out of of we thought was unreasonable. We had no problems backing out ourselves so I wouldn’t read into that too much. A few drawers were broken in the kitchen that we had to keep putting back on it’s tracks, but aside from that one issue we had a great stay.

A very cute beach cottage with a really nice open main area connecting the kitchen, dining and living area. What you don’t see in the pictures are the great little touches a family appreciates; a VERY well stocked kitchen of housewares and a lot of games for family and friends. The yard was very convenient too. We traveled as a family of five (three children age 5 and under) along with our family dog, and never felt short of space. We were satisfied as a family with our stay and our review ratings review our assessment based on what to reasonably expect from the property as advertised.

Fenced in yard was key for our dogs and management company was quick to respond and resolve minor issues. Outside screened in porch was in need of a deep clean but the interior of the house was very clean and comfortable. Nice quiet part of the island but still very close to everything. As other reviews have said backing out of the driveway can be tough - some landscaping could improve that, but it wasn’t too bad as there wasn’t much traffic this time of year. Can’t wait to come back.

Island Realty helped me find this property a few blocks away that met our needs. There was a huge discount for the last-minute rental. I would highly suggest checking with the office for specials when you're here if you're able to get the extra days.This property ended up being a good find. Lots of games and books. Well stocked kitchen. Very clean. The yard was perfect for the dog. There was a push buggy to carry all our beach gear. 5-minute walk to the quieter end of the beach. The location was wonderful. Would love to stay here again.

It has a huge fenced yard area and is pet friendly so our pups had plenty of area to run. It is an older home but it has some nice upgrades including appliances. Very comfy layout for a small group. I only had a couple of complaints. One is that the shrubbery needs to be cut from the fence in front of the house because it made it difficult to see when exiting the driveway. Another issue is the small driveway which leaves no room to turn around so you either have to back out into the street to leave or you have to try to back into the driveway from the street, both options being nearly impossible with the busy traffic on Palm Blvd. The final issue, although not a deal breaker is that the washer and dryer are located in a detached building behind the house. Not a big deal but just a bit inconvenient and it gets very hot inside the small space.

Reviewer Comments: Unfortunately, I'm unable to say anything good about this house. I would not recommend staying here. It was really dirty. Especially the floors. So bad that we wore shoes the entire. We've used IR for many years and I have to say this was the worst property we have stayed in. The grass needed to be cut and we had problems with the air. Needs updating desperately. Everything is old. Even the towels, old beige color. Master is huge but the other bedrooms are very small. IR did respond very quickly to most all of our texts. The pic I sent of the dirty floor was not acknowledged. If you book this house be aware there is no back way to the beach. You have to walk on very busy Palm Blvd and then walk two blocks to the beach. Walking wasn't an issue, it was walking down Palm Blvd. I guess that's on me.

Very clean and comfortable and an easy drive into Charleston proper. Overall a lovely stay for the holidays!
