Escape, Unplug & Unwind
Welcome to Muskwaki Pines, a hidden sanctuary in one of the South Shore’s best-kept secret neighborhoods. Situated in a remarkably quiet and peaceful residential enclave, this retreat is nestled in its own grassy meadow and framed by towering pines and golden aspens.
The layout offers a rare level of Tahoe privacy; while you are part of a welcoming community, the property is uniquely positioned with only one neighbor within shouting distance. Here, the morning alarm is the sound of the birds in the trees, not the hum of traffic.
The "15-Minute" Hub: Proximity Without the Noise
While Muskwaki Pines feels like a secluded wilderness retreat, you are strategically located just 15 minutes from the very best of Lake Tahoe.
The Shoreline: The crystal-clear waters and pristine sandy beaches of Lake Tahoe are only 15 minutes away. Whether you're looking to sunbathe at Pope Beach or launch a kayak into the turquoise shallows, the lake is at your fingertips.
World-Class Skiing: Shred the slopes at Heavenly Mountain Resort (15 mins), or take a short drive to Sierra-at-Tahoe (20 mins) and Kirkwood (30 mins). You are perfectly positioned to chase the best snow conditions in the basin.
Nightlife & Entertainment: When the sun goes down, the world-class Casinos and nightlife of Stateline are only 15 minutes away. Enjoy fine dining, live concerts, and gaming, then retreat back to the total silence of your mountain meadow.
Immersed in Nature
A View from Every Room: You don’t have to step outside to enjoy the scenery. The home is wrapped in large picture windows that frame the meadow, forest, and mountain peaks, letting you watch for Tahoe’s wildlife—including bears, coyotes, and migratory birds—from the comfort of the sofa.
The Scenic Stroll: Leave the car keys behind. An easy 10-minute walk through the pines leads you directly to the expansive meadows and the banks of the Upper Truckee River.
Outdoor Adventure: Pedal directly from the property to legendary mountain bike tracks like Powerline, Saxon Creek, Fountain Place, Hawley Grade, and Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride.
This is truly a kayaker's paradise—from the river currents to the alpine lakes.
In winter, your grassy meadow becomes a private playground for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.
Your Mountain Sanctuary
Lovingly maintained for over 40 years, Muskwaki Pines blends lodge-style charm with modern comfort.
A Warm Welcome: Start your stay with our essential seasonal starter basket, curated to help you settle in the moment you arrive.
Gourmet Coffee: Enjoy the meadow view with a fresh cup from our dual-system coffee maker (drip or pod-ready).
Restful Nights: Two King bedrooms with plush pillow-top mattresses and a third bedroom with a Twin-over-Queen bunk—ideal for a full night of mountain rest. Total Relaxation: Warm up by the wood-burning stove or soak in the 4-person hot tub under a canopy of stars, made even brighter by the minimal light pollution of your meadow setting.

Lake Tahoe is a special place. We have lived in Tahoe for over 40 years. Once you plant you feet you never want to leave. Max and Riley, our dogs, loved to go to the Upper Truckee River and splash in the water. As scuba divers, we have explored all around the shores of the lake. As boaters, we enjoy our outings in the summer and fall on the big blue.
