Inga`s Quiet Sail Bay Townhome: Central A/C, Parking & Fireplace by Sail Bay!

Below you will find details about our 2 bed/ 2 bath home, Inga's Quiet Sail Bay Home, in Pacific Beach.

This contemporary townhouse has a wonderful ambience and layout! It is bright and feels very spacious with its high ceilings, skylights and clerestory windows, modern decor, and open floor plan. The unit was recently upgraded with hardwood floors, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances and central A/C, a rarity in coastal San Diego! It is tastefully decorated and contains many luxury features, including a fully equipped kitchen with a large assortment of quality kitchenware so you can cook and bake just as you do at home. Family members and friends can use the breakfast bar while you prepare meals, or you can enjoy a sit down meal at the dining table which seats 6. At the end of the day you can relax and enjoy sitting down in front of the cozy fireplace and listen to your own tunes using the bluetooth stereo connection, or to watch a movie or your favorite TV show from the premium movie channel selection. Netflix or other streaming channels are also available if you have an account.

The master bedroom has a king bed with a memory foam mattress, an HD 37" flat screen TV, and a full en-suite bathroom. The upstairs bedroom features a twin bed over a full size bunk bed with memory foam mattresses to accommodate a variety of sleeping arrangements. There is also sufficient space to use the toddler cot, or rentable pack n play as desired. The upstairs bedroom has an HD 32" flat-screen TV and DVD combination player, so the kids can watch a movie upstairs while you have cocktails or quiet time in the living room. Both bathrooms have granite countertop sinks, travertine tiles in the bath/shower, and extra large shower heads.

And last but not least, the owners made this house very family-friendly. They have traveled a lot with their children since they were babies and understand the little things that make a vacation home work well, especially if you need to fly and have limited luggage space! The house is equipped with many child-friendly features to make your stay as comfortable as possible, such as a variety of toys, games, children's books, coloring materials, night lights, plastic plates/cups/bowls, a step stool, balls, beach toys, humidifier, and toddler sleeping cot. A high chair, jogging stroller and/or pack n play crib can be provided at an additional rental cost.

This vacation home is situated on the quieter East side of beautiful Sail Bay (the loveliest part of Mission Bay)! Yet, you are only 12 minutes from San Diego's bustling downtown historic Gaslamp area with its fine dining, 1.5 miles from SeaWorld, and within 15 minutes from the lovely Balboa Park with the famous San Diego Zoo. So, you can have it all!

Across the street on the boardwalk you will find people riding bikes, skating, jogging, and just strolling at leisure. Take a stroll or ride our 2 provided beach cruiser bikes around the bay and if you like, cross over to Mission Beach with its wide boardwalk to watch the surfers or catch a glimpse of the green flash at sunset.

Vacation rentals in San Diego are for the most part, second homes for the owners. Therefore, some furniture or decor may differ from what is pictured because the owners needed or wanted to replace something. Professional photos are expensive and we can not re-photograph the rental every time something is changed but we do maintain the listing content with any notable furnishing changes especially related to sleeping arrangements. (*Please note: We do not give refunds because a piece of furniture or artwork has changed)

*NOTE: This home is in a residential neighborhood and, as such, is a NOISE SENSITIVE property. Respect must be shown for the property and neighbors at all times. No loud music, parties, and or loud talking outside after 9 pm. Violation of these rules MAY result in immediate eviction from the property per your rental agreement, and/or fines from the San Diego Police. If you have never stayed in a vacation rental before, we are not a hotel, WE ARE BETTER! We offer many of the same luxuries of a hotel with the comfort and space of home to share with your whole family. Our property owners are our friends and we work with each owner to offer a special, specific and ideal environment for guests to experience and enjoy. All of our homes offer similar amenities so you can expect the same experience whenever staying with us.

With that said, we need you to do your part in helping us maintain each home. Please be attentive to ALL RESPONSIBILITIES as a guest of our home. Trash/Recycling, Check-out duties, Communication to management and Care of the home all help us give each guest and family a home to feel at home in. We appreciate your assistance in making our homes and our business unlike any other!
Guests will have access to the entire home and garage.

Policies & What to Expect

Arrival/Departure Policy:
Check in time is 3 pm and strictly enforced. (From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, check-in is at 4pm)
Check out time is 11 am.
Please follow all instructions for your arrival and departure in our email and phone call correspondence. There is signage around the home to assist with the use of amenities and questions that you may have during your stay. We are available too, even after hours-give us a call!

Nightly Minimum Policy:
4 night minimum required in the off season. 
6 nights AND a Saturday Check-in is REQUIRED during peak season (June - August). Arrival on Friday or Sunday instead may be an option.
(Please inquire if your group needs accommodations that are different as we may be able to accommodate you!)

☀️ Holiday 2025 Policy: 
6 night minimum AND Saturday check-in is REQUIRED during our holiday season (December 20-January 3). One reservation CANNOT take both holidays, unless it is a 2-week reservation. There are no arrivals OR departures on Christmas or New Year's Day. 
*An arrival on a Friday or Sunday may be possible, please inquire if your group needs accommodations that are different as we may be able to accommodate you!  

☀️ Summer 2025 Policy: 
Beginning Memorial Day to Labor Day, Saturday to Saturday is required with 6-7 night reservations. On July 4th 2025, check-in or check-out is NOT permitted. An arrival on a Friday or Sunday may be possible, please inquire if your group needs accommodations that are different as we may be able to accommodate you.

Last Minute Booking Policy:
If a guest books with us directly or on any OTA such as Airbnb and VRBO, within 72 hours of arrival, verification credentials are required. By making a payment on the reservation, the guest agrees to comply with our last minute booking policy. 

To properly vet a guest with such short notice requires the following; a “selfie” photo specifically of the booking guest’s face and holding either a Driver’s License, Passport or State ID photo under their chin. We are just looking for a name to match and the photo on the ID to match that of the person in the selfie. This can be sent by email or text to our company email address. Additionally, we need to confirm guest details such as payment, contact information, applicable check-in time, number of guests and ages, any pets, etc.

This process is required, and if a guest refuses to comply then the reservation will be canceled. We have found this procedure to be successful in avoiding fraud, and protecting all parties! We appreciate your cooperation and we are available to help with any questions.

🐾 Pet Policy: Pets are permitted at this property with an additional pet fee*** $250 plus tax for the first pet, and $150 plus tax for the second pet. Please send breed, age, and weight for approval on your pet’s stay.

Rate Policy: Prices change on a daily basis so the rates you see today may be higher or lower when booking!

Age Policy: We do not typically rent to guests under the age of 25 or large parties. Please contact us prior to booking to see how we may accommodate your group.

After booking:
We manage properties on behalf of our owners. Upon confirming your booking, we will send you a rental agreement for your upcoming stay which you will need to complete. This agreement reviews our terms and conditions, house rules and policies, and what to expect of your stay. We will also contact you within 24 hours of the booking to obtain contact information and to address any questions or concerns you may have regarding your upcoming visit. Great location, loved the bikes

We really enjoyed the beautiful townhome. It was warm and inviting, beautifully decorated but not so much so that you were worried about kids breaking things. The location was lovely. My daughters favorite part of the trip was getting to ride bicycles on the boardwalk/walkway.

San Diego family getaway

We enjoyed the space, easy access, good location, parking available. Garage is a bit small but you can park right outside. August was a great time to visit San Diego, close to airport.

Great home base

Family vacation with our kinder. Location was a great base to visit all the San Diego activities. Three minute walk to the beach and a great coffee shop around the corner. If you have littles check out Maruta Gardner playground….we spend 2+ hours each trip there. Food is also great on mission beach and an easy drive / bike ride.

The condo was very clean, well organized, and I really appreciate all the extras: cruiser bikes available, beach towels, umbrella, beach chairs, body boards. Even a baby jogger if you needed it. Property mgmt company was very responsive and supportive. Great setup.

Great Location! Very Spacious!

Enjoyed this property. I didn't give it a 5 because we had to air it out when we arrived. It was super clean, spacious and well decorated. So the smell was a mystery. It was great set up, close to the bay. Wonderful place to walk. Fun little coffee place near by. They need to figure out where the odd smell was coming from and have it aired out before people arrive because it took a day

Wonderful Family Home for our Vacation

The townhouse looked just like the photo's in the listing, beautiful. There was plenty of room for all four with room spread out when we needed some space. The townhouse was very well appointed with supplies including bikes, beach gear, towels and linens. The kitchen and laundry were very convenient and we wanted for nothing in the way of utensils, plates, coffee makers and etc. The location is great for exploring San Diego as well as Mission Bay, Mission and Pacific Beaches and the surrounding cities. We would definitely come again.

Great location

We enjoyed staying at the townhome. The beds are very comfortable, it was clean, there are tons of supplies to make the stay feel like home and the location is excellent. Easy access to the bay and Mission Beach. The management agency has tremendous communication. They sent a repair person over to fix a stuck shower mixer and he was extra helpful, providing us with tourist information. The carpets and some of the furnishings are a bit worn and the unit needs to be painted. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks!

Great place to stay- good location and well equipped condo

We stayed for 9 days and found the place the perfect base for our family with three young children. 2-3 minutes walking distance to the beach! Great location for family with kids - the bay and beach is great for play in the sand and a lot calmer than on the ocean side. Airy, bright, clean and roomy condo. Quiet with no noise from traffic or neighbours. Well equipped. Comfortably sleeps three children in the second bedroom as the bottom bunk bed is a double bed (two small children can share). Nancy's property management company was great at responding (we needed to locate the electrical box and they helped us over the phone), and we also had an issue with the kitchen sink and a plumber was promptly called out. Would highly recommend this place!

Christmas in CA

Location-Nice property close to the bay. Was nice to be able to walk along the bay. Access to the water is only a block away. Everything was close to the property, great location. Inside of condo- Condo was clean and very well stocked. Was really surprised with the amount of pots, pans, utinsels, etc in the kitchen. The desk had pens, tape, markers, etc. the tv stand had dvds and there were board games in the living room. The property was a good size for 2 adults and 3 older children. Only negative on the property was the bathtub and shower were a little dirty and need a deep cleaning. I contacted the property manager and they said they’d notify the cleaning crew. Overall, this was a great place to stay. My kids liked it and it was very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Our family enjoyed staying here

The condo's location is great. We felt like we were close to everything we wanted to do and was within walking distance of what turned out to be one of our favorite restaurants of the trip, The Menu. It was roomy enough for the four of us and had everything we needed for going to the beach. None of the bikes were small enough for our 11 year old to ride though so she and I took a walk on the beach instead. (It was close and easy to find the public access.) The only issue we had (out of anyone's control) was the repair work on the roof across the alley began at 7:00 every morning we were there! Ugh. Overall, it was beautiful and comfortable. When we opened the windows in the evening we got a nice cool evening breeze coming through. The rental agency called me a couple of days before we arrived and was very helpful and even suggested some restaurants for us to try. Thank you for opening your home to us. We would stay here again.

Why they chose this property

We bought this vacation home to have a place to escape our busy lives in L.A. and where we can build family memories. We have always liked San Diego (who doesn't?) as it brings the right mix of fun things to do, a great variety of family oriented attractions, a relaxed atmosphere, wonderful beaches, and warm weather. Because we live close to the mountains in Pasadena, we wanted to have a vacation house close to the beach. We decided to look for a home in Crown Point as it provides a combination of both the Bay and Beach. Mun has fond memories of playing beach volleyball here when he lived here 20 years ago. We love a variety of water sports that we can now enjoy just across the street from our house (just 60 seconds from the front door), such swimming, sailing, kayaking, sailing, and paddle boarding in Sail Bay. But we also like to hop on our beach cruisers to hit the beach of the Pacific Ocean in less than 10 minutes.

In our many travels we have been to over 35 countries, where we have often been tempted to say, “wouldn’t it be great to retire here”. San Diego is one of those that has been near the top of that list. For the long-term, this is the first step in our plan to eventually move and retire to San Diego. Owning this vacation home, gives us the opportunity to ‘test the waters’ and get to know the area better before uprooting our lives in LA. And last but not least, San Diego has perfect weather year-around to attract people like yourselves to share our wonderful home with.
