This was a well kept place. Very pleasant, clean, and quiet. Nice kitchen for cooking with all the amenities we needed. The steps to the bedroom were steep so if you have bad knees be aware. The host was very responsive.

What an amazing cabin and amazing host. The cabin was very comfortable and nested away in the woods outside of a great little town. The amenities were modern and we had everything we needed. Sue is an amazing host, was very considerate, and had great correspondence. We would love to stay again.

Idyllic Forest Getaway

We were in Scandia to help our daughter move and we were taken away by the respite that this beautiful cabin affored us. A perfect spot to recharge!Waking up to birds and comfort.Sue was extremely helpful not only to us but to the new Scandia residents. She is a treasure of information about this beautiful corner of Minnesota.We hope to return soon to enjoy the cabin and area without the distraction of 'the move'!

My wife and I enjoyed this amazing cabin in the woods for a 2-night get away in May. Everything is just as advertised. It is an amazing cabin with such a charming history. We enjoyed seeing deer roaming around the property in the early mornings.The bed is extremely comfortable and the heated floor in the bathroom is such a treat!Our host was great to communicate with and the cabin was very well equipped. We went for hikes in Taylors Falls and really enjoyed the local winery, Rustic Roots, which is just a few minutes from the cabin. The flatbreads were so delicious (even the Gluten Free option), and they offer a great selection of wines. We had dinner the first night, and then also lunch outside overlooking the gorgeous vineyard. Thanks to our host for that recommendation!We will return to both this amazing cabin and winery soon. Cheers!
