About this property
Downtown Home with Waterfront Views and Gallery.
Coast & Clay offers amazing views of the bay located right downtown! With two bedrooms (queen beds), 1.5 baths, laundry, full kitchen, queen sofa bed in the living room and a great dining room table, you'll have everything you need for 6 guests! A charming pottery shop out front has items made by the owner for sale or enjoy handmade favorites stocked for your stay.
The house has a spacious living room with large windows, a full kitchen and full bathroom on the ground level. The two bedrooms and half-bath with washer / dryer are downstairs in the finished daylight basement. There's also a comfortable pull-out sofa bed in the living room, allowing this cute and comfortable home to sleep six. A fully stocked kitchen filled with handmade pottery and cooking essentials, along with coffee, teas, soaps, towels and common amenities are provided for a comfortable stay.
Street parking is free and located right out front with additional commercial parking available one block over. The back yard is closed to guests. The private pottery studio out back keeps the kitchen stocked with handmade wares. You can purchase your own piece of pottery made by owner of the home, Jenny, from the detached gallery out front.
Downtown Seward has it all. You can enjoy the ocean views and towering mountains or hit up the shops, restaurants and the Sea Life Center. You can easily walk around downtown or take a stroll down the waterfront bike path that leads to the harbor. There are also shuttles that pick up from the Sea Life Center if you want to venture farther out.Coast and Clay is in the middle of the historic business district that's great to walk around. Taxi rides are usually $15-20 around town with a free shuttle typically available in front of the Sea Life Center during summer hours. There is also a shuttle to Exit Glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park that picks up at the Sea Life Center or at Exit Glacier Guides.
One thing to keep in mind is that the property is in very close proximity of the neighbors. We ask that guests please be respectful of property lines and to keep in mind that downtown tends to be a high traffic area.
Please be aware that the home is not child proof and in the summer the stairs are sometimes squeaky.
