This was a wonderful place for a large group of extended family to stay. Helen was super easy to work with and very responsive when we had to add an additional day to our stay. The check-in process was smooth, the location is great for much of what Lakeview has to offer. I would most definitely recommend staying at this Vrbo to anyone who is looking to visit Chicago.
Excellent location - lots of walkable restaurants and bars. Clean and inviting. No unexpected surprises or letdowns on arrival. Host was super responsive, even on a weekend evening. The neighborhood itself is charming and felt very safe. We would definitely stay here again!
Great location for us. We were in town for a wedding. The apartment was bigger than we anticipated. Wish there would have been shampoo, conditioner and soap in each bathroom, but that was are only complaint. Overall perfect for my family. Thank you for a nice weekend.
Layout of the unit was fantastic. Roomie - very nice. One thing - I don't think cleaning crew did a very good job. Floors were dirty - not sure if sheets were changed. I am definitely willing to give this another chance. Helen was great to communicate with.
The property was very nice, but we had a couple of issues. There is a rental apartment below the unit and two of the five nights the renter played his music very loudly. The second issue is that the air conditioning is also very loud. It sounds industrial. I don’t know if some soundproofing in the ceiling would help. It was a very nice unit and in a great location.
This apartment was in a nice, safe area. We walked home from the L around 11pm at night and there were still people out and about in the neighborhood. We took the bus and the L into downtown Chicago both days that we were there and it was about a 45 minute trip, including walking. Using the transit choice on Apple Maps made it very easy to figure out. The apartment itself was clean and spacious. The bedroom with the bunk beds and double bed was very tight, but we appreciated having all the beds so no one had to sleep on the couch. All beds were comfortable. It was really nice having a bathroom attached to the master bedroom. All the necessities were provided. Kitchen had everything we needed to make meals there. The windows bring in a lot of natural light into the apartment. There is a parking spot behind the building which accommodated our truck, along with the 4 bike rack on the back of it. It was difficult to figure out the building we were in from the back because we didn't see any addresses, so better communication for this would be appreciated. It was a bit stressful when getting there during rush hour time. We had 1 person go in the front door, then come out the back door and through the alley in order to find the building. Getting luggage and belongings up to the apartment is a bit challenging with it on the 3rd floor, but if you've got a few strong people in your group, it can be done. This really was a great apartment to stay in to visit Chicago!
Plenty of room for a trip with family from three generations. Well-appointed kitchen. Lots of extra paper towels, towels, cleaning products. Always managed to find parking really close. Helen is a very responsive host!
