Beautiful property that was nice, clean, and cozy! We had a good time staying here for our ski trip to Sugarbush. If we're ever in the area again, we would choose this place!
We highly recommend staying at this VRBO listing. It is in a great location to easily get to anywhere in the vicinity. It is a very cozy house that is fully furnished and decorated very nicely. It has everything you need and even extras furnished like coffee, spices, water, and more. We were surprised to find a nice gym in the basement for us to use.Neil has been wonderful to work with and communicate with before and during our stay. He made sure to check on us mid-way through to make sure we didn't need anything. It has a nice fire pit and yard with a beautiful view. This was our first time using VRBO and it was an absolute amazing experience. If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful stay this past weekend at this house. The owner it was very responsive to any questions that we had. The house was a beautiful 25 minute drive up to sugarbush and is very conveniently located. If you like to hike in the areaThe house was warm and cozy with many beautiful plants and was well equipped with everything that we needed to make some meals. While we were there, thank you so much for a wonderful stay
Neil and Mark are amazing hosts. The house was exactly as described. Check in was easy and everything was extremely clean! My child love playing in the beautiful yard and the location was very relaxing. The flowers surrounding the house were immaculate! We can't wait to go back and this time for longer!

About the host
Hosted by Neil Gibbs
Greetings! My name is Neil, and I'm 59 years old. I've been a self-employed home health aide and caregiver for 23 years now. My journey began with an animal rescue group before I found my calling in caregiving. This house holds a lot of special memories for me since I grew up here. At the moment, I'm residing in the historic homestead next door, built in 1875 and once owned by my great-grandparents, alongside my partner of 13 years.
Why they chose this property
This delightful split-level ranch, constructed by my father in 1970, is situated in a small, friendly town that has a Mayberry-like charm. It’s nestled in a valley between two mountains, providing a tranquil setting with minimal road noise.
Hancock is the perfect entry point to the breathtaking Green Mountain National Forest, known for its natural beauty and diverse recreational opportunities. Whether you’re into hiking, fishing, skiing (downhill or cross-country), snowshoeing, swimming, tubing, or more, there’s something for everyone.
Hancock Haven is bright and airy, thanks to an 8-foot picture window in the living room. The open layout allows for easy conversation no matter where you are in the house. Oh did I mention, there’s also a sliding glass door that leads to a spacious 20-foot deck.
So come, kick back, play, and stay a while!
