The property was very clean. Anytime we had questions, the host was on top of answering any questions or suggestions. We had a full house and had PLENTY of room
We stayed the weekend and had a great time! The space was amazing. The only problem with this place that was a huge issue is the upstairs master bedroom bed has a huge dip in the mattress and felt like you would fall out of the bed. The mattress needs replacement badly.
Perfect home base for our annual family scalloping trip. Lots of room to play, relax and soak in the beautiful views. It is well-appointed and has easy access to fishing and scalloping in the Gulf!

Upon arrival, we could not get the door code to work. I tried to call the number and had to leave a voicemail (never got a call back) Thankfully the back door was unlocked and we were able to enter because I did not hear back from the host until the next day. The door code is finicky and you just have to be patient and wait until you hear the lock switch. The house was spacious, which was nice. We let the kids room downstairs with the game room and adults upstairs. The spiral staircase inside is very dangerous. The sliding glass door to the pool was hard to lock which made me uneasy. Every bed in the house is hard and uncomfortable. I think for the rental price you pay, the host can invest in some better mattresses, or mattress toppers, in the least. The beds would definitely deter me from renting this house again. The ability to have your boat in the water was very nice, however, my husband fell through the dock while carrying a cooler down to the boat so the dock must be very old and needs major repairs to be safe. Thankfully there was another side to access but we were all afraid after that because the water had rocks and broken furniture in the water under the dock and we had small children.
Nothing really good to say about the house experience so I will leave it at that. We did have fun outside the home eating and hanging out with the locals.

Thank you for your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear the home didn’t meet your expectations, though we’re glad you were able to enjoy the local area and make the most of your time in Hernando Beach. We’re always working to improve the guest experience and appreciate you giving us the opportunity to host.
Terrific property exactly as represented, the host was communicative and proactive. The house was clean, everything worked as it should, and I suspect much larger than the square footage indicated in the listing. The rooms were huge, and there were a lot of them. When I booked the property, it was a fresh listing without any reviews. Between our booking and our stay, it received one negative review. During our week at the house, I could not imagine what that previous guest was complaining about. It is really a great house that you can book with confidence.

We had high hopes for this stay, but unfortunately encountered serious issues that significantly impacted our experience. The most concerning issue was the AC. We were traveling from out of state to Florida in June — heat is not a minor inconvenience, it's a safety issue. The owner knew about the AC problem at least 24 hours before our arrival but chose not to tell us, giving us no opportunity to make other arrangements. We arrived to a home with no AC. Portable units were brought that evening and the AC was repaired the next day, but we should never have been put in that position to begin with — especially with young children. To make matters worse, after our stay the owner reached out offering to discuss a discount to make things right, but then went silent and never responded to our follow-up messages.Additional concerns during our stay:• There was a noticeable sewer smell coming from the basement.• The floors were not clean — our young child was covered in black after crawling on them.• The furniture showed significant wear: one bedroom had a three-legged dresser, and the mattresses were low quality.• The pool was very hot and the jets were not working for most of our stay — they were only functional the last three days.• One of the kayaks was broken.• The sliding door did not lock, which was a safety concern.• The spiral staircase was difficult to navigate repeatedly, especially with young children.• A piece on the refrigerator kept falling off every time it
The check in process was easy and the property manager even had our groceries put in the fridge for us when weather delayed our arrival. The kitchen is fully stocked for all your cooking needs and the laundry is conveniently located off the kitchen. Wifi was great and the TVs were incredible for movie night! The property is in an excellent location that is quiet and peaceful but close enough to all of the fun. The pool and all the amenities were wonderful. We caught plenty of fish, had a daily visit from a blue heron, and even saw blue crabs and dolphins, just sitting on the porch. I do warn that the spiral stair case is not easily navigated by older/younger people so be cautious if you have special needs with stairs. On the way home, I realized that I left my engagement ring and wedding set behind. As soon as I contacted the property, they had the cleaners check and found them both! Thank you for the great stay and sending the rings for me.
