Tucked away on the outskirts of historic downtown Edgartown, this home offers a rare blend of space and seclusion, making it a true gem in one of the island’s most sought-after locations. Surrounded by mature trees and open sky, the property connects you to nature while keeping you close to the charm and amenities of town.

Inside, you'll find four thoughtfully furnished bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and central air conditioning throughout—ensuring a cool and comfortable stay even on the warmest summer days. With its southern exposure, sunlight pours into most rooms throughout the day, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere.

New as of Summer 2023, our 40' x 20' in-ground pool can now be enjoyed heated at your request, extending your poolside fun well into the evening hours.

Whether you're lounging poolside, gathering with loved ones in the common spaces, or unwinding in one of the serene bedrooms, there's something for everyone to enjoy. And yes—we’re pet-friendly, because no family vacation is complete without your four-legged companions.

Lastly, we believe in true Vineyard hospitality. Our local caretaker is always nearby to ensure your stay is smooth and stress-free, offering help should any needs arise.

Family Escape

The property exceeded our expectations. We travelled with our teenage daughters and our two dogs. The photos are accurate and don’t capture the feeling of Privacy and quiet that we really appreciated in this property. Walking into Edgartown is a healthy walk but we managed it several times. Bike paths and nature walks are right next to the property and both Edgartown and Oaks Bluffs center are only 5-10 minutes in the car. Renting linens was easier than we thought, though we found it challenging to keep track of everything and to make all the beds after a long trip. But a minor inconvenience for an otherwise fantastic week that our entire family thoroughly enjoyed. We highly recommend this rental.

Amazing home!

The home was fabulous and it had everything we could possibly want - nice rooms, comfortable beds, a great kitchen, a fabulous deck, and of course the amazing pool! The location was perfect - an easy bike ride to downtown Edgartown and multiple beaches, yet private and quiet when around the house. Short walk to hiking trail, which was great for our dog. Owner was a pleasure to work with and offered great suggestions to us, first-time visitors. Overall, fabulous!

My name is Brandon, and I’m proud to say I was born and raised on Martha’s Vineyard—and this home has been in my family ever since. Though my wife Ali, our son Theo, and I now live in Bermuda, 36 Hamblen Way remains close to our hearts, and I personally manage the property to ensure our guests have the best possible experience.

It’s important to us that you and your family feel completely at home here. We strive to offer a peaceful, private retreat while also being available to assist in any way we can. Our caretaker lives in the guest house next door and is there to provide support if needed, while always respecting your privacy.
