Enjoyed our stay at this refrigerated air home. Large rooms. Efficient kitchen. Front and back areas to sit and enjoy the outdoors. Backyard has a covered area with a large table and chairs. Pet-friendly is an extra bonus!
The house and rooms were all immaculate! Although the only communication I had with the host was through text, she responded promptly and was business-friendly! We didn’t bring pets, the pet-friendly part is non applicable. This was my second stay at La Casita Azul! Love it!
It was very clean and the perfect location for us. My 21 Aggie grandson and I (79) went down the River Road to Big Bend on Sat. On Sunday we went to Guadalupe and back the Davis Mts scenic route . It was fabulous!!!

It was a cute house. There were a few bug issues, and the landscaping was over grown. Other than that it was good!
The house was clean and the neighborhood was quiet. It’s not really walking distance to downtown when the temperature is high. In nice weather, though, it should be. Nice big backyard and the firepit are great for nighttime stargazing. Cute house!
The house was roomy and had nice amenities, including a full kitchen that was nicely stocked. Queen bed was comfortable but a little too soft for my liking.
The property owner was responsive to pre-booking texts and accommodated a booking change. However, was not responsive to texts when we had an issue with the stove, which I managed to figure out on my own. Also, I let the owner know via text that the tub/shower combo was a safety issue when my wife slipped and fell on the floor out of the tub, causing her to hit her head and get whiplash from the fall. The tub is tall and one needs to step high while getting in and out without any safety rail. It is not ideal for short people or seniors. I would also recommend a rubber mat on the floor to prevent someone slipping while entering or exiting the tub.
We enjoyed the outdoor area and fire pit. I would give this a higher rating if the owner had responded to 2 different texts and the tub was not a safety issue.
Convenient location for every thing we wanted to do in the surrounding area. Host responded quickly. We were mostly gone all day so we didn’t spend too much time in the house but it had a cool Marfa vibe!
