Welcome to Luterbach, a cozy 2-bedroom chalet in the heart of Lauterbrunnen, the breathtaking "Valley of the Waterfalls" that inspired J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle Earth. Surrounded by majestic cliffs and cascading falls, this is your perfect alpine escape.
Recently renovated, the chalet combines modern comfort with rustic charm. The open-plan living area features a fully equipped kitchen, a dining table for six, and a cozy lounge. The master bedroom offers a queen-sized bed, while the second bedroom has twin beds that can be joined. Relax on the outdoor terrace, dine al fresco, or enjoy the stunning views of waterfalls and base jumpers landing in the valley.
This incredible Lauterbrunnen chalet boasts views of some of the most spectacular scenery in the Bernese Oberland. Recently renovated, the apartment has all the comforts you would wish for in your home away from home.The open plan living/dining/kitchen area offers plenty of space for the whole family. Meals can be prepared in the well-equipped kitchen. There’s a ceramic hob, oven, microwave, refrigerator and freezer, toaster, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine, and as every Swiss holiday needs, a fondue set. The Dining table seats six and upon request we can provide you with a high chair. The flat screen TV has channels in many languages, there’s a blu-ray DVD player, and you can log into your Netflix account too, but you may be too busy enjoying the views from the large french doors.

The master bedroom has a large queen sized bed and the second bedroom has twin beds - crib available upon request. The bathroom has a walk in shower and double wash basins. It is equipped with a washing machine and a tumble dryer.

A spacious outdoor lounge is the perfect place to dine “al fresco” with waterfall views.

Great family skiing chalet

Everything was well thought out to make an ideal base to stay at during out skiing trip. The only thing to note would be garage was a very tight fit.. width wise if you have a large car. Plenty of length & height but thought the driver may need to climb out through the boot!. ( we have a VW Touareg) Having said that its great to have a garage and once there we had no need to get it out until we left.

Wonderful property with beautiful views of Staubbach falls and mountains. Very clean and had everything we needed to make breakfast each morning and several dinners, amazing communication with host, right on the bus line into town. We requested a crib and were also given a high chair and step stool which was amazing for our toddler. Appreciated the bottle of sparkling wine and local recommendations. Check in was super smooth and we were able to access the unit early. Laundry facilities were easy to use and so convenient. Easy to walk to all town attractions or take the bus if needed. The sitting area outside is very nice with an outdoor couch and a dining table. Also a small yard area. We loved our stay here and would absolutely recommend it to families, and would plan to stay here when we return!

Hele mooie locatie in Lauterbrunnen. Ruim, net,…alles wat je nodig hebt om een stressloze vakantie te hebben met twee tieners in huis. Het appartement is een toppertje. Enig minpuntje, wat onstabiele WiFi, voor ons niet zo belangrijk, maar voor de zonen iets meer.

Fabulous stay in a fabulous setting!

We have stayed in various apartments and homes and this is by far the best equipped EVER! The apartment had everything and more to make our stay comfortable and the location of the property was just about perfect with views from the patio of the mountains and the Staubbach waterfall. Diarmuid came to greet us and gave us useful advice about the apartment and the area. The bus stop was less a minutes walk and this whisked us to the station in Lauterbrunnen in only 4 minutes. From here everything in the local area and beyond was easily accessible. Our favourite was taking in the fabulous views from Harder Kulm whilst having a relaxing drink! This part of Switzerland is a spectacular and special place made better by having such a comfortable place to come to at the end of each day.

Lovely location near but outside of Lauterbrunnen

My wife and I, and our two grandchildren stayed here for a week. The location, less than a mile from downtown Lauterbrunnen, is ideal, quiet, residential, and far from the bustle and noise of the many tourists in town at high season. The apartment is ideal for 4, with two bedrooms, a living room with dining area, and a well equipped kitchen. The bathroom has a good washer and dryer. There is also parking nearby, and with a bus stop only 100 feet away you can get into Lauterbrunnen to the train station within a few minutes; buses run every 30 minutes during the day. It was very hot; so, we set off early and tried to return by midafternoon before it got really broiling. Because it cooled at night, we could open the windows and doors to cool the place, and when we closed things in the morning, the apartment remained quite cool throughout the day. We purchased food at the well stocked COOP and cooked all of our dinners, made breakfast, and packed sandwiches for lunch on our outings. You can get to all of the mountain places by train from the Lauterbrunnen train station. We went to the Jungfraujoch, Murren, Gruetsalp, Grindelwald First, and went down to Interlaken to reach Brienz and the Brienzerrothorn. We had a glorious time, and the property was an ideal staging point.

Five day family vacation

Spent five days and four nights in Lauterbrunnen, and just loved this property! Well equipped, convenient location, easy parking and very clean. Perfect place for us to return to after our adventures that have us way more space than a hotel room. Owners are very helpful, quick to respond, and excellent t hosts. Highly recommend!

Eine sehr gemütliche und moderne Ferienwohnung, gut ausgestattet und nach Renovierung jetzt noch besser. Ein ganz tolles neues Bad mit stufenlos begehbarer, großer Dusche; schnelles WLAN und angenehme Fußbodenheizung. Die Terrasse bekommt auch im Winter noch Sonne ab und hat bequeme Sitzplätze. Die Küchengeräte sind neu und funktionieren tadellos, genau wie Waschmaschine und Trockner. Die Erstausstattung mit Waschmittel, Küchentücher, Seife usw. ist großzügig, nicht zu vergessen die Flasche Sekt die auf uns wartete :) Wenn ich etwas zu verbessern finden müsste, könnten die Küchenmesser mal nachgeschärft und die Beleuchtung in der Küche optimiert werden. Kleinigkeiten, ich komme jederzeit gerne wieder in diese Wohnung. A very cosy and modern Apartment, well equipped and even better now after renovation. It has an awesome new bathroom with big, accessible shower and up-to-date washer and dryer. The wifi is quick and steady and the underfloor heating warms the house well. The patio has cushy seating and gets some sun even in winter. Kitchen equipment is new and working well. We were supplied with a generous starter set of washing liquid, kitchen towels, toiletries etc and had a bottle of sparkling waiting on arrival :) The lighting in the kitchen could be optimised and the knifes sharpened, thats it. I love this place and like to come back :)

This was a really great and comfortable place to stay. The hosts were helpful. The apartment was modern but surrounded by mountains and still had the swiss charm. Beautiful space. We had 2 kids, 6 and 11 and we were all very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with anything we needed and it was very easy to drive around to neighboring towns. We had a phenomenal time.

Beautiful apartment with stunning views

WOW is the word that comes to mind when staying here. The apartment is very well appointed and the views are spectacular. We stayed here for 11 nights from October 4-15 and had an awesome time. Communications with Diarmuid (the owner) were great and fast (and he was on holiday as well). Everything you need is here in the apartment and its proximity to the bus and the restaurant/kiosk at Camoing Jungfrau are great. We stayed in a different apartment in the same complex last year, but wish we would have stayed here instead. Hoping to go back soon and would love the chance to stay here again. Great communication, great place and great views.

Perfect Valley Floor Apartment!

We stayed in Lauterbrunnen for 3 nights (4 men aged 26) and had an absolutely great experience renting from Cassia. First and foremost, the communication before, during and after our stay were as good as I have ever had. Cassia was extremely prompt and detailed and provided a great contact for someone travelling internationally from the states. Secondly, the location of this property was fantastic if your preference is to stay on the Valley floor. It provides easy access to a number of great hikes, cities, bars (Horner Pub is great) and restaurants. Parking is provided for a car, and endless opportunities for trains/trams/cable cars to other cities and mountain hikes. We felt we couldn't have picked a better place. Lastly, the property itself. Extremely clean, well outfitted kitchen, and great sleeping arrangements for 4 adults. The patio was used every morning and every night and the grill was also an added benefit to have a cheaper dinner in. The views are spectacular right from the patio. Overall we had a fantastic stay and Cassia was a fantastic host.

Outstanding accommodations in an amazing place.

We enjoyed every minute of our recent stay in Lauterbrunnen. Diarmuid is a great host, very welcoming and responsive to our questions about the area. The rental unit is clean, comfortable, spacious, and well equipped. The views right outside the doors are amazing, and the location is near lots of great hiking, sight seeing, and the shops/restaurants in town. We would absolutely recommend Diarmuid’s place and if we’re fortunate enough to return to Lauterbrunnen, we will certainly look into staying there again. Nothing but good things to say. We found all of Diarmuid’s tips to be very helpful and correct. Also, it can be relatively expensive in Switzerland, but we found it was helpful and convenient to purchase food at the Coop in town, and cook a lot of meals ourselves with great ingredients for reasonable costs. We still enjoyed dining out, but it was great to have the option to grill/cook at home.
