It's Time to Relax.... My family is excited to share our new slice of heaven in Sea Pines with your family and friends. The house was purchased from owners that previously listed it on VRBO. The reviews you see are real, some are from the past owner's guests some from recent guests of our own.
We have been vacationing in Hilton Head for 12 years prior to buying this place. Both my parents and the former owner's parents are always around taking care of it. The former owner's parents still clean the place thoroughly after every guest leaves (she even irons the sheets!)
The spacious home has a great open floor plan with high ceilings in every room. The master bedroom and guest room are on the opposite sides of the large, open living room and dining room. There is also a sun room off of the master bedroom that walks out to the back deck. I spend hours in there reading and relaxing. There is a king size bed in master bedroom and two full beds in the guest room. We also have two roll away beds.
The home has two flat screen TVs with cable. High speed FIBER wireless internet. We use ROKUs.
The great room has an open kitchen and dining area. The kitchen has new cabinets as well as new stone counter tops as of spring 2023. The kitchen is fully stocked (I have a family who has come two years in a row for Thanksgiving and prepares their feast in it). Small kitchen appliances include microwave, toaster, Keurig coffee maker, regular coffee maker, crock pot, bread maker, blender, and electric tea kettle. Brand new stainless steel range and refrigerator.
There is a massive tree that engulfs the house and the property. The front of house has been newly landscaped. Out back are both a large patio and new wooden deck. My beloved tree comes up through the deck (this tree is a major reason for the purchase, you'll see). There is a patio set with a table and four chairs and a grill that was purchased last year. We grill out about every other night when we go as a family. The open back yard and green space is very quiet and secluded. The house sits on a quiet cul de sac with hardly any traffic (bikes or cars).
The backyard green space takes you directly to the bike path/ Fraser turn circle. This is the center of Sea Pines. The house is just a short bike ride to both the beach and Harbor Town. It is a two-minute bike ride to Sea Pines Center and Truffles restaurant for a morning paper or bite to eat. The newly redone neighborhood playground and swimming pool are 1/4 mile away.
We have owned the home for over 10 years now (Oct 2012) We have multiple repeat renters and it stays pretty well rented.
Fully stocked clean linens will be awaiting you.
We do allow dogs but all pets must be approved by us. The pet fee is $175 PER DOG PER WEEK.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sea Pines. The house was in a great location and convenient to shopping, restaurants and the beach. It was exactly as advertised. We have stayed at condos in Sea Pines in the past, and for the value, we will return to this home in the future.
Property was perfect for our recent pre-holiday relaxing getaway. Easy access to paths for running with our dogs and central location for getting around sea pines. Dustin was great at communicating with us regarding our dogs and the property ahead of time. Definitely will be back :)

Owner was kind and helpful. Loved the Sea Pines area. House was super spacious with a nice new washer and dryer. Our family had a beautiful stay and we made a lot of lifelong memories. Kitchen and bathrooms needed updating, but was okay and functional. Would definitely stay here again if we return to HHI!

Needs upfating
Very old house that needs many updates and freshening up.
Great house in Sea Pines, 7 - 10 minute walk to the lighthouse when you use the path behind Sea Pines shopping center. This house is in a quite neighborhood and it appears some of the neighbors are year round residents while other properties are rentals. I do wish one of the beds in the second bedroom was a true queen. The beds in bedroom 2 are a bit tight for two grown adults who are in good shape. Otherwise, this property is a great place to stay with plenty of space in the kitchen/great room as well as outdoor deck.
Open floor plan, gorgeous trees, new kitchen and modern appliances, all tile flooring easy clean (we prefer it). Older property as billed otherwise but a central location and comfortable. Perfect for biking. We rented adult bike and trailer from Low Sea and brought the kids’ bikes. Backyard path direct to bike path or take the paved neighborhood roads where everyone is super friendly. Bike right up to the beach access point at end of S Greenwood for an uncrowded beach or to the beach club if that’s your style both about 12-15min. We didn’t use the pool or playground this time but it’s a nice open space < 5min bike ride away. Salty dog is a good 35min with 6year old on her own bike but she did it and the ice cream there is worth it. Bring bug spray for the bike paths!
This would not be posted had the owner done what he was supposed to do. We arrived to a very rundown property. There was actually mold spores on the ceiling in the living room and black mold coming from the vents. My 79 year old father stepped through the decking on the back of the house as it was rotten. We moved the next day ASAP. Trying to get a full refund was a joke. I do not recommend this property. It needs to be shut down.

Felt Like Spending the Perfect Week at a Friends Home
We love HHI and have stayed in different areas a couple of times. Sea Pines is our favorite. We absolutely LOVED your home. It was in the PERFECT location. The home was truley the best layout to accomodate anyones needs. With the master on one end and the other bedroom on the other end there would be plenty of privacy. Also plenty of extra space with lots of room.
The bicycles were wonderful. We are not in great shape by any means and we rode to Lawton Stables, as well as to the beach. We rode several days, as well as took walks along the bike paths. We have never stayed in a vacation rental that was as well equiped also. All of the comforts of home. Plenty of flatware, large knives, pots and pans and anything we needed the entire week was right there for us.
Our small dog Odie enjoyed gazing through the many sliding glass doors at the squirrels, and sitting on the deck.
Dustin (the owner) was so helpful from the beginning of our first contact. He was so accomodating. Even when I accidentally locked the house up with the safety latch on the door. He called a locksmith for us. If you are on the fence about this place....LOOK NO FURTHER... CALL NOW... PERFECT VACATION... The back deck alone is worth the weeks fee's... grill and huge tree and deck chairs... naps.. AMAZING... JUST DO IT!!! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!

Just What We Hoped For!
We were so excited to find a pet-friendly vacation home in Sea Pines Resort so close to the beach. The descriptions and reviews on this VRBO website were very helpful and delightfully accurate!
The first impression upon walking in the front door is "wow - so spacious, clean and nicely decorated!" The kitchen is obviously updated, spacious, and well-stocked. There is a nice big refrigerator with water and ice in the door and lots of pantry space. The living room area has comfortable couches and seating. We enjoyed doing a jigsaw puzzle on the coffee table. It rained a good bit the week we were there and was pretty hot the other days - so we didn't have a chance to be out on the deck much or use the grill - but definitely a special area to relax! The beds were comfortable and there is a lot of space to store clothes, etc.
And then there's HHI - always a treat for our family! The Sea Pines Beach club house has been beautifully upgraded. You can walk, bike or drive to it from the house. There are lots of nice restaurants - both in Sea Pines and on the rest of HHI. Some of our favorites are Hudson's, Chef David's Roastfish and Cornbread, Salty Dog, and Marley's. A new favorite is "Coast" - a restaurant right at the beach club house - we had a delicious supper - still in our bathing suits from being on the beach all day! Other highlights are the bike trails - great way to see the island and get some exercise. Bikes are definitely a MUST for a HHI vacation (best to reserve before you get there if going during the busy months). We enjoyed biking to the lighthouse in Harbour Town, to the South Beach Marina, and to the Lawton Stables. We also took a day trip to Savannah, GA.
Thanks to the owners for being very friendly and easily accessible by phone. Ya'll have a really special place - thanks for sharing it with our family!
Perfect setup for small family or group of adults with master on one side and second bedroom on opposite side of house. Great location with easy shortcut to bike path. Owner very responsive and friendly. House needs updating but was clean and suitable for a vacation getaway in popular Sea Pines resort.
Central to beach, Harbortown, and Forrest Preserve. Very open space in the middle with the two bedrooms on the side and bathrooms on each side. Lots of deer in the yard. Owls and lots of other birds as well as squirrels...of course. There was lots of leaves and tree particles on the porch, but it had been raining alot. Really liked the friendly neighbors.
The majority of rental units are all a work in progress, all have pros and cons:
Pros - The owner, Dustin was great to work with, communication with him was excellent.
The location was very good, close to the community pool and a 3-4 minute drive to the ocean. We were able to drive and park at the Beach Club everyday because we have a handicap pass.
The tile floors throughout the unit were very nice, especially when having a pet.
The appliances are fairly new and the 3 TV's were all large flat screens. All worked very well.
Master bedroom king bed was very comfortable.
Well stocked with kitchen utensils.
Grill worked very well but you need to take an elongated Bic lighter to light it, the activation knob on the grill
doesn't work.
Nice touch with keyless entry.
Cons - The kitchen cabinets need updated badly.
Some areas of the deck are in disrepair such as the steps.
Both bathrooms need updated, the master needs renovated badly.
Hilton Head is beautiful and we hope to return soon. We saw plenty of deer, dolphins, a shark and sting rays in the shallow water surf, and plenty o sea gulls.
Thank you Dustin for allowing us to rent your unit.
Everything went pretty smoothly during the check in process. The house is spacious and open. The neighborhood is quiet and conveniently located on HHI! We usually stay in hotels but decided to give a vacation rental a try! I’m glad we did! It’s nice having our own private space that felt comfortable. We had a couple small hiccups (slow running sink on double vanity and dead batteries in door lock), but luckily they weren’t a big deal and Dustin was very responsive. Overall it was a great stay and I would definitely stay here again!
Host was easy to contact and very helpful. Rent bikes, the ones there have busted seats.. House was centrally located to just about everything. Plenty of bath towels and pillows/blankets. Beds were comfortable. Deck is in need of repair and there was no propane for grill which wasn’t a big deal since we ate out/cooked meals and spent majority of our time at the beach and sightseeing. For the value, we will book again for June 2023!
Great layout for family dinners, cooking, lounging, sleeping, & just being. Bicycles were on site & ready to take advantage of all the trails. Very enjoyable & Dustin is the best!
Dustin was easy to get a hold of and a very positive person. His house was nice but needs some updating. Location was great and loved that everything was within walking distance. Definitely going back.

About the host
Hosted by Dustin W.
I am from O-HHI-O and have been coming down since 1999. My best friends parents own a place down near South Beach and I have been down every Memorial Day for the past 12 years. I went to Ohio University and used to come down for Memorial Day weekends to both party and find a job for the summer. I lived in Shipyard one summer and worked at both Catch 22 (which is still there and delicious- Go tell Brian and Daisy Dustin sent you) and delivered Pizza's late night at Mojo Pie. (now gone, RIP)
I sell phone systems for a living up in Lexington KY with my wife who is a Nurse at UK Hospital. Both my wife and two young daughters are hooked on Sea Pines thanks to daddy.
Why they chose this property
Owning a place in Sea Pines has been a life goal for me. Our Memorial Day tradition at our friends place toward South Beach made buying a place in Sea Pines the only option. We honestly didn't even look at any other plantations.
What's better than that, is that, we didn't even step foot inside of this place prior to putting in an offer.
Yep- It was purchased completely site unseen.
To be fair, I actually knew the Greenwood Forest area of Sea Pines extremely well. I dated a girl that college summer who rented a house with her friends on Wildwood Ct, one street over. Spending time over there and at the neighborhood pool gave me a good idea of what I was getting into.
The truth is I would have fallen in love with the home had I seen it and paid too much. This took the emotion out of it.
It was completely worth it. I stepped foot into the house the day I closed on October 12th. It exceeded my expectations.
It was a very Zen couple of days down there. I was living in a house I had purchase site unseen, in an area I had always dreamed of.
What makes this property unique
The way the home sits so low under the canopy of the trees is what made it for us. It has that classic Sea Pines architecture. The deck built around the tree in the back is my favorite part of the outside. (though I also enjoy the landscaping I busted my butt doing my 1st weekend there) The big living area outback under the tree is where to be. I also like chilling out in our over sized chairs just outside the master bedroom. Having both the two bedrooms and family room all open up to the back is nice.
The interior has great natural daylight in all rooms. We also love the big 16 feet tall ceilings though out. The kitchen needs updated but the layout is great. (wifes planning this) While the house isn't the biggest around, it doesn't feel small because of how open the floor plan is. You can see in the reviews how one of the previous owner guests commented on the size of the place as well.
