Luxurious villa with private pool, in the hills, Algarve, Sao Bras de Alportel.

Our Mediterranean, detached, architect-designed holiday home (250 m2) is located just 20 minutes from Faro airport and 3 km from the village of São Bras de Alportel, in a wonderfully quiet valley that is part of a protected natural area. The very private villa is situated on a southern slope in the middle of cork oaks, oleanders, fig and olive trees with a great view over the surrounding hills. From the shady terraces around the house you can look at the very large, privately situated swimming pool (12x4m) with sun terrace. In the Mediterranean garden you can freely use the herbs present (rosemary, thyme, mint, marjoram, oregano). The entire garden has been laid out according to the principle of dry gardening, which means that we irrigate as little as possible, in order to prevent water wastage, and furnish the garden as much as possible with native plants and trees that feel at home in the Algarvian climate.
The entire site covers 6,000 m2.

The interior of the villa is minimalist and modern, but fully equipped. It is a split level villa with a spacious hall and large open kitchen on the middle floor, which is connected via a staircase to the lower living room with fireplace. There is a separate utility room with a large fridge / freezer.

On the ground floor there is a bedroom with a terrace, from where you can walk outside to take a dip in the swimming pool. Those who want to relax for a while can go to the lounge room, which also has a single bed for a seventh guest.

The master bedroom and the third bedroom are located on the top floor. All bedrooms (3 in total) have their own bathroom with shower and toilet. There is a fourth toilet for general use.

In addition to the spacious and well-equipped, modern kitchen with a 5-burner gas stove and oven, there is a covered terrace with a large table where you can eat in the shade. Five meters away is the outdoor kitchen with a large barbecue.

The site has enough space for various cars. House and garden are fenced with a lockable gate. Wifi and internet are free. There is satellite TV with Portuguese and a large number of international channels.

In the house you will find a large offer with tourist information about the Algarve in general and São Bras de Alportel and the surrounding area in particular. There are booklets with walking routes, information about golf courses, mountain bike routes, cultural trips and so on.

Vila Lua is the ideal starting point for hikers, golfers and nature lovers.
From the house lies along one of the many hiking trails that the Algarve has to offer.

Golf courses, sea and beach are approximately a 20-minute drive away, as is the Ria Formosa nature reserve. But the fishing towns of Tavira, Olhão, Cabanas and the city of Loulé are all nearby.
São Bras has numerous restaurants, terraces, a few good supermarkets, a weekly market, banks, in short everything you need.
