Welcome to Knots Away, our mountain bungalow, where you will feel like you’re in a treehouse. You will be nestled above town at 2200 feet. Enjoy a mountain view from every room!

Even though you will feel like you are far away from town, you will only be five minutes from downtown with some of the best Farm to Table restaurants, shopping, a brewery, and distillery. There’s no need to worry if you forgot something at the store, because it’s a quick car ride away just down the mountain.

Or if you would prefer scenic views and peaceful serenity, there are many nearby hikes!

Great location and views

Really enjoyed our stay at this VRBO. Location is great and right near downtown Clayton. Views from the main floor were wonderful and the two decks made for a relaxing evening. Would definitely recommend!

We really enjoyed our time at the bungalow in the mountains! It was very well appointed but not cluttered and very clean and fresh. We loved all the light that came in the walls of windows overlooking the mountains. Enjoyed our morning coffee on the deck in the rocking chairs and evenings with the fire inside since it was chilly. Close to downtown for outings but still very private and wooded. Hope to visit again!

Beautiful stay

The property was perfect for our family. The kids really enjoyed the room of video games and having their own space. The house was clean and reflected perfectly by the listing.

Incredible House

We loved at this house! The house was perfect for us. It was clean and up-to-date. There were mountain views from almost every window. And the windows were very large. We had plenty of space for all of us. On the outside, the house does not look very impressive, but inside it is beautiful! Our hosts were very responsive and very helpful. The house is on top of a mountain but close to town and to all that you need. The drive up is curvy but beautiful and easy to drive. We go to Clayton almost every year and hope to be able to stay at this house every time! We loved it!

We enjoyed our stay at this mountain rental.The location was very close to the main area of Clayton where we could grab a good meal or shop at Walmart/etc. The house was very nice- well furnished- plenty of room for the six of us and our little dog. Great view of the mountains while enjoying a cup off coffee off the rear porch. The owners were very quick to respond to our emails- just an all around good experience and adventure.
