Your centrally located summer vacation/getaway spot is here! Relax and refresh in this newly finished modern homestead vacation home located near Tapiola and Otter Lake, less than 15 miles south of Houghton/MTU. The home is located in a beautiful and peaceful country setting with super access to all the western Upper Peninsula has to offer. Enjoy a very large yard with plenty of space for parking along with room for outdoor games, a play structure and a sandbox for the kids. Biking, walking, jogging, and roller skiing are immediately accessible on surrounding quiet paved country roads. There is a newly finished wood fired sauna on-site that may be available for use with prior notice to the host. Just over 1 mile to Otter Lake public access - perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, and boating.
This home is part of an original settlers' 1800's family homestead and has been in the same family for generations. The comfy living room features plenty of space and an ample sitting area, an electric fireplace, a smart HD 42” screen and hi-speed fiber optic internet!. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare meals or enjoy your takeout at the large adjacent dining area table. The coffee bar features a Keurig w/assorted k-cups, and flavored syrups. The house is equipped with a full laundry area with a wash tub and supplies. If you need to do some remote work while on vacation we’ve got you covered with a work area and desk. With a main floor bedroom and three bedrooms upstairs, the house is perfect to accommodate up to eight guests!
Located 15 miles south of Houghton, MTU, and shopping. A convenience store and a local restaurant are approximately 1.5 miles away. Centrally located for trips to the Porcupine Mountains, the Keweenaw Peninsula along with many spectacular beaches, trails, rivers, waterfalls, and historical sites in the area!
