APARTMENT DETAILS:
BUILDING/SPACE: The building is a traditional walk-up tenement, which means you need to be comfortable walking up one flight of stairs with your luggage. The apartment is ideal for 2 guests but can sleep 3 guests.
KITCHEN: If you plan on cooking you will be happy, as the Kitchen is fully outfitted for those who love to cook. There is a gas stove with restaurant burners, a microwave, dishwasher, Refrigerator/freezer plus other smaller appliances like a coffee press, blenders and toasters. You are welcome to any spices or other the food items in the cabinets that you may need, just let me know what must be replaced.
MAIN ROOM: The apartment has an open kitchen/living room, as well as two large windows that provide tons of sunlight. You will have a window air conditioner, one of quietest in the market.
There is a futon/sofa to lounge on when you just need to relax or to watch TV at the end of a busy day.
Queen Bed: As the queen bed is located away from the street in an alcove, and it is normally very quiet. You will have a small dresser and 2 closets for storage of your personal items.
BATHROOM: The bathroom, though not brand new, is in great condition & kept very clean. You will not need to bring a hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner or body wash, as I will provide them for you. Most guests are flying to NYC and with baggage fees and size limits, luggage space is precious.
EXTRA BED: The BoConcept couch folds down into a full/double XL bed. Ideal for 2 children or even 2 adults who do not need space.
LAUNDRY: Sadly, there are no laundry facilities in the apartment or in the building. But did you really come to NYC to do wash?! So if you must do wash, try one of the local methods: Wash in the sink, do it yourself at a laundromat or pay them to wash it for you (my personal preference)!
I can recommend local laundromats and wash & fold services to you. The one I use can provide same-day service with free pick-up & drop off.
I did my best to provide a detailed description of the listing so you can book my place with confidence. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Host was great and met us personally for check in giving lots of great guidance on the building and the City. Great location with lots to do and easily accessible to bus and train
Nice place in a very fun, convenient neighborhood. Bed was very comfy, and our friend who was traveling with us was comfortable enough on the futon!Host was very helpful and easy to communicate with.
This is my second time renting this wonderful apartment in the East Village. The owner is great to work with and the location is close to subways and busses. I can’t wait to come back!
What a cute, fun place to stay and close to the subway. Easy access to anywhere we wanted to go. The bed was super comfortable and everything we needed was provided.
100% Staying here every time we visit NYC!!!Location A // Apartment A // Host A // I honestly loved everything so much I wish I could live there. There are no words I could use to convey to readers that THIS is the place you should book. Don't waste your time checking out other spots.
The host was welcoming and gave us a great deal of helpful information. The place was exactly as pictured, with modern amenities and old world charm. Everything was comfortable, linens were very nice, it was super clean, and she even provided some basic amenities that most VRBOs don’t, like spices and things. Perfect stay.
100% will stay here again. The host is very warm and welcoming, and the apartment was immaculate. Easy access to the unit and great location on the lower east side. If you are vegetarian or vegan, so many great very close options for eating out. It's also very easy to cook in with a fully equipped kitchen. Close to Film Forum, which we love. Can't say enough fabulous things about this space.
The apartment is cute , clean and well decorated. It was the perfect space for my daughter and I, lots of restaurants supermarkets and bars near by. Close to the train line it was easy to get to places from there. Great location!
We had a great communication with the host who was kind enough to meet with us upon arrival. The apartment was very clean, the bathroom was airy with excellent shower water pressure, the kitchen was very well stocked and the inclusion of a large refrigerator-freezer, a small dishwasher and four-burner range with an oven was well appreciated! The location of the apartment is fantastic as it is just a few minutes to both subway and bus stations, with many restaurants, bars and a great bagel store nearby. It was refreshing to be able to leave the very tourist heavy uptown areas and be among the locals.
This is a great apartment, located in a non-touristy part of Manhattan, close to busses and subways, so it is easy to get around. Lots of great restaurants, particularly “Supper” which is just half a block away. Excellent food! I stayed here for 3 weeks-the host was fantastic, quickly responsive to questions. I look forward to coming back!
What a beautiful place to stay. We enjoyed the accessibility to the subway, shopping and restaurants. A little more street noise on the weekend but we expected that! We will be back.
Great location that is adjacent to trains and busses. Only one flight of stairs to go up, which was easy. I wore ear plugs at night because there is noise from outside on the street/sidewalk and in the hallway of the building. Very clean and lots of well-considered amenities inside!
I stayed in this apartment while my apartment was being renovated. It's comfortable, clean and a great East Village location. The neighborhood is filled with energy and great for walking. The host was very responsive!

Thank you Jesse for the lovely review. It was a pleasure hosting you.
My sister, 11-year-old nephew, and I had a wonderful three-night stay! The apartment was impeccably clean, stocked with everything we could have possibly needed, and wonderfully decorated. The fold-out sofa was very comfortable for me to sleep on. The location was perfect for us, within a short walk of many places we wanted to visit, and there was hardly any street noise at night. Helen was a great communicator and excellent host. Highly recommend!

About the host
Hosted by Lisa Moran
I am a native New Yorker who loves her hometown & willing to share any tips or ideas for experiencing NYC. Want to shop? I will do my best to send you to the area best suited to your needs. Museums? I will tell you which are actually free. Love hip hop? Then I got the tour for you.
I have been a host for a decade on another platform where I am a Superhost and my listing is a fan favorite. My style of hosting is friendly but pretty much going to let you do your own thing unless you tell me I am needed. I prefer to greet all my guests when possible, give them a quick tour of the apartment and how "stuff" functions, and then leave unless the guests have questions. I stay in the building but will primarily only contact you via text occasionally to make sure everything is going well.
Why they chose this property
WHY I LOVE THE EAST VILLAGE? The creative, gritty, and independent energy of one of the most iconic neighborhoods in Manhattan that nurtures literature, art and music innovators. Small business owners eager to please and the "You do You" spirit from the residents.
It is a family neighborhood during the day, yet you can see blockbusters filming outside your door at least twice a year. There are both high end and dive bars on the same block, and you never know what celebrity you may end up sitting next to at the bar. Basically, The East VIllage is never boring.
