Having these separate, Casita was nice. It accommodated 14 of us. We also enjoyed the upper deck coming off of the Casita’s main bedroom from which we were able to watch the sunsets. The location to Arroyo Secco and downtown Taos was good.
The house was very beautiful and well equipped. The grounds were somewhat neglected, weeds in the rocks and beds and flowers in the pots in the courtyard were dried out and dead. Both kitchens were well equipped and had very nice appliances, the home was clean and spacious and our family enjoyed our stay very much.
This is a stunning property, with authentic southwestern detail. My siblings and I rented the entire place for five nights and thoroughly enjoyed the space. We had one small issue arise early on and Jerry, the host was very fast to respond. The kitchen is very well stocked and a pleasure to cook in. We had a lot of fun playing croquet outside on the rustic lawn.
We enjoyed our stay and mainly stayed in doors when “home”. The outdoor space is not large enough for 10 at the same time to eat but inside is. We had everything we needed. Space around is not mowed currently and not really easily used for games or such. Neighbors are closer than I thought and house is on a road with various housing. We did enjoy our stay and views are beautiful and fireplaces were nice.
The unit was everything we needed it to be. One couple had to drop out because of a medical issue, but the remaining 5 of us had a great stay at Brightstar. Close to the Ski slopes and the town of Taos. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, and we were able to watch the Olympic Games each evening after soaking in the Hot Tub. Would recommend for large groups.
We stayed here with three small families and a grandmother. Having the Casita along with the main house was awesome. We were there to see concerts at Kit Carson Park. Location is great, less than 20 minutes from downtown Taos.We look forward to our next stay!
This house was wonderful for our two families (4 adults and 5 kids) with plenty of space and comfortable furniture and amenities. The location is perfect for heading to the ski hill or town, and we enjoyed spending most evenings cooking at the house and stargazing. We would love to make this an annual trip and hope to stay here again.
This was an amazing rental and was so well appointed. There were 3 families consisting of 8 adults and 3 kids and we had enough room to spread out. The kids loved playing in the snow and we cooked almost every meal @ the house. Amazing vacation for everyone.
The home is fantastic - large rooms, plenty of space. comfortable all around. Backyard was big enough to place Frisby. Morning Coffee on the back porch and evenings in the hot tub and see the stars.
Wonderful property! The kitchen was fully stocked and there was not anything that we needed that we couldn’t find! Would definitely recommend this property if you are visiting Taos
Large and plenty of room for all of us. We had daily dinners that included many family members locally and there was plenty of room for all. The bedrooms were large and comfortable.
Bright Star was the best place we’ve ever stayed. The owner provided everything needed for our very large group, including sledding saucers for the kids in the snow. The setting was lovely, the home so beautifully furnished, and sleeping for our16 family members. We hope to return
