It was great. May need to add a new stove but other than that we liked it.

The location was ideal to explore upper Michigan, lower Michigan and of course the Island via ferry. The cabin was clean and appealing with the woodwork walls and comfortable beds. I couldn't get hot water out of either sink, but the shower provided it. The kitchen could use bowls (for soup) and perhaps a knife to prep food. Otherwise it was a cabin adventure I expected. Thanks!

Says it's good for 4 people. Only 2 people can sit at the table. Only 1 room has a tv that kinda works but blacks out often. Only 1 room has a dresser for clothing and nowhere to hang up coats. Not impressed.

Amazing location, right next to Island Ferry and shops

We needed a nice economical option for our family on a road trip and this was a great fit. Seems very newly built though the structure is older. Basic amenities and needs covered.

I don't think the location could get any better! Right downtown behind the shops, right next to the bakery and coffee shop. This was the perfect little cabin to stay at. Nice and clean, two AC units that kept it nice and cool. We would definitely plan to stay here again. We also had access to a pool which was a huge hit with my kids.

NO PRIVACY!!Bathroom door could not close because the door and frame did not match. First bedroom had no door. Second bedroom door would not close, then fell off. NO COMMON AREA, except for 4 foot by 9 foot kitchen area. Host has not tended to any of the other comments (TV turns on with options, but none of the options work, Internet not accessible, unclean kitchen.)No tub, shower only.GREAT LOCATION!! Newly renovated with exception of doors and kitchen. I will NEVER stay here again.

Location was ideal for stay, however did not exactly feel safe. Very dimly lit parking lot, front door has a gap at the bottom of door with no extra deadbolt. Very loud noises from businesses that are located feet from the backside of house. So no sleeping in. No hot water at all, did reach out to management and was told they would send maintenance, but got no reply back that it was fixed. So I checked in at another place for the evening to finish my stay in Mackinaw City. The tiny cabin/house is located with an old motel. Would probably be fine for a couple of fisherman that don’t care if they need a shower or wash hands. Visible mold in bathroom around shower floor. I have stayed in lots of tiny homes on my travels and this by far was the most disappointing and truthfully wouldn’t list it until things are greatly improved. There was no charm to it at all

Very run down home which was part of run down motel. Kitchen stove filthy. Didn’t trust using anything in the kitchen. No bedroom door in one bedroom. Bathroom door doesn’t close. No living room. Luckily the weather was nice so we were able to sit outside on step and on towels in grass. No response to multiple emails. Beds comfortable. On site housekeeper Warren saved the day with reassurance we would hear from manager by 3 PM on day of arrival for access to home. Glad we were able to see him the morning of arrival before boarding the ferry to the island.

This place was so filthy that we did not even stay there and had to rent 2 hotel rooms!!! They will not give us a refund. It was grosse! There was no cleaning that was going to help the situation and should be inspected by the county and condemned!! I will never trust this site again!! I am turning in for fraud!!

The location was great for exploring Mackinaw City and Island. It is really close to Shepler's ferry. The cottage is a work in progress. No internet available (contacted host no response).Tv's had no reception (contacted host no response)There was no hot water until we reported to host. It was fixed. One bedroom had no door. The other bedroom could not shut due to broken hinge.Kitchen did not feel clean, side of stove completely rusty. The positive were walls newly refinished and beds were comfortable. Our suggestion is finishing upgrades and make it a two-person rental. Only had two chairs in kitchen.Host needs to improve on communications. 5 unanswered messages in one day.

I'd like to start with the positives, the location was perfect for us as we could walk everywhere we wanted to explore other than my husband had to drive an amigo due to a shattered ankle. There was a yard to enjoy with the dogs. The shower worked great once I figure out the handle and the beds were comfortable. There were some updates that recently had been done like the floors and walls, however there were several things that needed attention and updating far more concerning such as this definitely is not handicap friendly as the brick walk way leading into the house was very uneven and sunken in in spots and the bathroom doorway was hard to get into. The stove is a very old gas stove and was in desperate need of a good cleaning. One of the bedrooms did not have a bedroom door. The kitchen barely had any hot water . I did not see any fire extinguishers or smoke detectors. They also do not have a family room of any kind but that was ok we weren't inside much. I personally would probably not stay there again.

Pros: location! Close to all the things. Great coffee and pastry shops within a three minute walk. Well priced, relatively clean (most of the stains are permanent), plenty of towels and linens, hot showers, toaster and microwave, couple of mini fridges. Cons: no hot water in kitchen (nothing comes out when turning the knob), no door on one bedroom, other bedroom door is coming off hinges, older amenities like stove and some original cabinets are rough, very limited communication with host (the last question went unanswered and it was the first night), parking available but taken up on the weekend by other visitors probably because of prime location, lots of Friday night noise from area guests, Saturday 7 am garbage pick up.Technically true but...: two TVs but neither connect to the wifi so we watched something local on one - the other wouldn't even connect to the antenna, wifi available but too weak to connect, pool and hot tub "available" but they are 1.2 miles away, cheap coffee/tea maker but it only works with pods and we ran out the first day.

Totally disappointing

We checked in on 24 June checked out 24 June three hours later we were gone by seven! They would not refund any money said it was past the cancellation date which of course if you’re already there it’s past cancellation date! The description of the property is all wrong. They say they’re not connected to the hotel with the host are the same there is no TV no Internet she gives you a password with the password doesn’t work. The TVs don’t work. The outlets were overloaded. I just think it’s a scam and I got took so buy your beware.

Very Disappointing - Renter Beware

VERY disappointing. Turns out the advertised pool and hot tub are not located at the property, but at the Bridgevista Beach Hotel (23-min walk). Exterior of the property was rough, inside better. Accessing the property was easy. As we settled in, my family tried to access the WIFI and it was not available. Turns out, the host relies on the internet access from the inn that shares the same parking lot as this unit. The internet was not strong enough to reach the front porch of the property let alone inside the property. My son then tried the TV just to find that one didn't work at all and the other had nothing connected to it. So, they were useless. I contacted the host to let them know these troubles before we went out to dinner. After dinner I still had not heard from the host, so I reached out again. The host finally responded she is sending someone to help. As the sun began to set, the temperature dropped and I was cold, so we tried to turn on the heat. Turns out, there was no heat connected. It was almost 9PM when I let the host know about the heat. Shortly after, I went to go take a shower before bed and NO HOT WATER!!It took until 10:40PM for the maintenance person to show up. At this point, I was in bed and my husband sent him away. Not dealing with it at this point. The worst part, the Pancake House restaurant is behind this property. Staff on break were loud and after it closed, they were rowdy until 4 in the morning. Horrible experience.

Weekend Stay

The inside of the property was cute. Bathroom cabinets and kitchen could use updating. The hot water barely worked, and the heat did not work. Nights were chilly. The outside of the property needs major cleanup. Great location!
